Has anyone ever played Final Faitasy VI (Final Fantasy III on Super Nintendo in America). I knew it as Final Fantsy III until some educated gamer *cough* blackfeather *cough* corrected me. Anyway, I love that game.
Ultros was one of the most entertaining and simultaneously irritating villians ever. In the opera scene, (for those of you who don't know, there is an opera scene where one of your many playable characters [Celes] sings in an opera in place of the famous Maria in order to lure another future party member [Setzer] so that you can use his airship.) Ultros, (a very persistant giant octopus who the party has faced at least once already) tries to ruin the trap for Setzer by dropping a heavy anvil on Celes. He remarks as he lifts the heavy anvil "It will take me 5 min to drop this." thus giving the party 5 min to reach Ultros and stop him from dropping his anvil. You then must best him in combat for the second (or third, i can't remember) of about 6 times in the game.
Ultros is awesome, and he is also what I was referring to in my reference in "total Domination."

ah, yes... the good old "not releasing every final fantasy game that was made for the US" deal that they decided to pull off
the part where celes sings is one of my favorite songs in the entire game smile ... i thought ultros was annoying, just due to him hardly ever putting up a good fight (why could we never fully kill him? sad ) ... but, he's up there in cool and original villians list smile

Hey, the imp actually posted!! I like the Opera music and Kefka's theme. The battle music isn't my favorite, but it tops most other games' battle musics.

At least other games as far as that era is concerned. The Xenosaga and Einhander soundtracks still top my 'best ever' list though.

I've never played Xenosaga, but I had an Einhander demo and it was awesome! I wanted that game so bad. 3 still has some of the best video game music though. I also enjoy the anaconda music. mrgreen pirate

Oh man, that can get annoying. I know some people who talk nonstop about a few specific games. It drives me nuts.
