Okay, so a while ago, me and my sister would always exchange clothes and stuff. But in the end she would always give it back and so would I. Last summer, my pink and black sparkly top (the one I swear I will wear to my first performance once we get our band going) disappeared. At that time, though, I was taking care of the kitten and going to summer school, trying to scrape an A for math. So I didn't really notice until school started and I realized I didn't have it. I say "Maybe she took it today." And forget about it.
Then, once the summer started, my mom kept finding my clothes going to the laundry. So she found a skirt I had told my sister she could borrow last Winter because it was too long and I didn't want to give anyone the impression that I was omish or something. It wasn't even a peasant skirt. It was a straight black skirt with little snowflakes on it that went to my knees. Something I'd wear to church or eat out with my grandparents in. At first I was like "I don't care. It's not winter anymore." But my mom started yelling at my sister not to take anymore of my clothes because I don't have alot (I loathe shopping with a firey passion) and she bought them for me.
So my sister started yelling back and bashing my name around and I'm just like "Woah, woah, woah! I'm not the one yelling at her. I don't even care." But my sister started really getting into the heavy insults calling me an ugly stupid whore and such and saying that I'm heavier than her and the like. I'm just like "Well, yeah, you're anerexic. A midget weighs more than you." So I get up, grab my skirt and say, "You obviously have no self-control nor respect for me, so I'm taking this back."
End of that. Then, I get my surgery and I'm wired shut and my mom pulls my pink sparkly top out of the washing machine. I could not have been more ticked off. I grabbed the top and hid it. She kept it an ENTIRE YEAR. Then, later that day, I see her going through my closet. And I tell (well, sort of) her to get out of my room and that those clothes are mine and she goes:
"I'm meeting the ambassidor of Peru, Emily. I need to look nice."
I wanted to scream, "I don't care if you're going to meet Jesus Christ at his last supper. It's my stuff!" But, I'm wired shut. She leaves.
And it just keeps getting worse. I saw her wearing my clothes to the gym without asking me, grabbing my bathroom mirror and keeping it in her room for a week, and just taking my stuff left and right without asking. All my sweaters are gone. All my jackets, my favorite (non-black) shirts randomly disappear.
So then she storms downstairs one day with a belt and yells at my mom that I stole it. I'm just like, "Uh, no. It was on the floor so I borrowed it. And it's nothing compared to all the stuff you've taken."
But mom yells at ME. At ME!
So, one day I wake up really early because I'm just in too much pain to sleep anymore. (I'm still in recovery from my surgery) So I watch television because I don't wanna wake up my brother by getting the PS2. I go to the closet, because I was going to have an appointment the next day and I thought I'd lay out the clothes I was going to wear. I go to get my hairstraightener because I hate wavy hair and I notice it's not where I put it. I look around my room and in the bathroom where I see: the missing mirror.
Three guesses as to who took it.
Now, I've always had this rule about hygene stuff. If you borrow it, put it back when your done. Otherwise, I'm going to go into your room when it's the least convienient for you, and take it.
So I do just that. I go into her room, grab my hairstraightener and mirror, walk out, put the mirror back in the bathroom, go to my room, and close the door. Two minutes later my sister knocks and I open the door.
"Emily, why did you storm in my room when I have work this morning?" she asked.
"Because, I told you about taking my straightener and you didn't listen," I replied. "Now go away."
"Well, I needed the straightener because I left mine at my boyfriend's apartment and he's in [enter some bull story here]," she told me.
"Then ask me next time," I said. "Because it's still my straightener, whether or not you leave yours in China. It's my property and I asked you to respect that. You didn't, so I didn't respect your need for sleep. Now get out of my room."
And she has the NERVE to say no. So what do I do? I shove her out and go to close the door. But she grabs the wall with her hands so I can't close it. Then she bursts through like some crazy woman and starts yelling at me. I tell her to shut up because she's going to wake everyone and to leave my room because I don't want her in it. She doesn't so I go towards the door to get Mom. But she pushes me back.
Hold up. Just one question: Who JUST had surgery? Whose hospital bill cost a total of $22,000? Who could possibly break her jaw at any given moment? ESPECIALLY when someone pushes her?
So I rush towards the door this time. She grabs my shirt and rips it. But I keep running and I go to mom and wake her up. My sister comes in screaming and I tell my mom that my sister pushed me. My mom just tells us to go to sleep and leave her alone. So I storm to my room and lock it.
When morning comes, my mom starts yelling like it's my fault I've been pushed. And not my sister. No. My sister gets off without the blame.
So I straighten the story (the bull one my sister made up where I'm attacking her like a crazy person). At some point, my mom yells at her, but for the most part: Jen gets off without a hitch.
So we get into this giant conversation where I say, "If she doesn't respect my space, privacy, and my items, then I won't respect her. It's like when she takes the car without asking you(my mom) and driving downtown with it for a week. It's my stuff. She can just keep her hands off until she learns to ask."
But my sister gets into how selfish and spoiled I am and at some point the coversation turns to "My dog which I had for one year and barely paid attention to got run over by a horse and died. And my ex-fiance's dad died after my ex knocked up this other girl."
I'm just like: stare
And then she tells me that she's never introducing me to her boyfriend, or her dog, and I will never see Sheryl Crow with her. And she goes on to tell me that I'm an ugly whore and such. When, you know, I'm still a virgin and she's....anything but.
Finally I just tell my mom (after her whole "Your family. Love each other." speech), "No, I don't love her." And my sister starts going insane telling me she's given me all this stuff and I'm like:
"You think you can BUY my love? No. See, I love people who respect me. My brothers respect me. My mother and father respect me. Even my friends respect me. But you don't. You call me a freak. You take my things. You try to make it so mom won't let me listen to the music, or shows, or whatever I want to do so I can become a 'mini you'."
So she stopped talking to me and I've stopped talking to her. rolleyes Whatever. I don't care.

Wow. Living with your sister would drive me nuts. I'm a pretty territorial person. I'm surprised you haven't killed her yet.
Anyone who doesn't return something that yours and "borrows" without asking deserves little to none respect. It's just rude and they way she treats you and your things is unacceptable. (Repeating pretty much what you were saying stressed ).
I hope things work out neutral

Ya know, it's kinda funny. I remember this drama when you were in the guild. XD;;
I agree, go shoot her. No sister should act that way. With my two sisters and my being the oldest, our number one rule is if you want respect, you have to earn it first. We barrow completely with the solemn promise of return or money. Cause money makes us conhoppers happy.

Get a combonation padlock for your closet, or heck, your bedroom door.
She takes your stuff without asking, she treats you badly, and she hasn't got the balls to admit her wrongdoings.
The only thing left to do really is to lock everything away so she can't get to it.

The only thing left to do really is to lock everything away so she can't get to it. I'd have to get new doorhandles, locks, etc. And that just costs money. I'm thinking of starting a list of items where I list all the items in my closet, that I'm wearing, or are in the Laundry. And if something goes missing, I charge her $20.

That's what I plan to do with my life. XD I already have about 6 conventions to finish going to before I start getting enough money to buy booths to sell costumes and such. Sides, think of it this way, it'd be a great way for you to get free clothes, including Kisa's dress. No matter what, when someone thinks of me as a sister, I act like the best damned one I can. >: D

My mom jacks any clothing of mine or my brothers that she doesn't like and donates it. Solution? Buy a chest with a lock and keep all the s**t you don't want people touching in there. Yeah, it'll piss them off, but it's your stuff so they don't have any excuse for raging about it anyway.
