Well, the person who never goes anywhere has made it to San Diego, California and ends up ina Starbucks using the internet and drinking strong coffee... apparently San Diego does not usually require AC near the beach "?" or so our cottage would lead you to believe, but just the luck as they mentioned on the news last night that Southern California is experiencing some kind of heat wave. (Then my dear brother reminded me of the thirteen year I had my own house in So California that had no AC either!) All I know is I am missing Las Vegas alot this week burning_eyes
Maybe I really should go down near the ocean while the sun is up, but Starbucks is so nice and air conditioned.... with internet rofl

If it were me and I were hot, I'd go jump in the ocean! But.. A/C, coffee, and internet is quite a temptation too!! (I've been feeling like going to starbucks recently for their Marble Mocha Machiata!!)

hope you enjoy yourself Lizzy, and i can see why you're torn there, you need either a big bowl of sea water to put your feet in in Starbucks, or a portable, cooled Starbucks to take to the beach with you! like one of those bathing huts that the victorians had rofl

Yup, the ocean entertained me for about 30 minutes one of the days, but that heat wave along with my asthma and the fact I have been ultra sensitive to sun exposure all my life made Starbucks or our rented Bungalow the main places I 'hung out' My brother made sure the kids had plenty of beach time, so it is all good, and I don't know why,but the ocean water sure seemed to have alot more kelp than I remember from 15+ years ago when I lived further up the coast
