I have an A-5 that is just about moded to the max. I'm using a tippmann 14" barrel and it works well but I was thinking about a freek kit. Are they worth the money for a woods gun, or should I stay with the other barrel and wait utill I get my Impuls and put the kit on that?

i tell you what, the A5 flatline i installed is gorgeous! It works great. We got rid of the pinging noise by seperating the 2 halves of the shroud and filling it with ground up styrofoam. Its as accurate as i need it to be, and the range is a definate plus. Also, in woodsball, if you see an opening in the brush, the flat trajectory allows you to shoot through that hole, unlike a normal marker where you need to point it upwards to make it through, usually ending in splatter on a branch.

That sounds good, but my gun is full auto and I heard that full auto and flatlines don't mix very well. Thats why I never put one on my gun.

i have a response trigger. And if you have full auto, im guessing you have an Egrip, right? You dont ALWAYS have to use full auto with an egrip.

I know, I just like to. I also shoot very fast on semi, I can shoot about the same speed on semi as I can on auto, when I fire a burst. I can't, however, sustain that rate of fire.

I've never seen anythin go bad with a full auto/flatline mix. I've seen it work, without any problems or the myth that the second round will impact with the first one and so forth.

I've seen some of the problems with my friend's flatline on his 98c but I heard that the A-5 flatline solved many of the problems of the 98 flatline. I know that alot of the problems have to do with the velocity not being set right on the gun. I did see two balls hit each other in mid air, but it only happened twice, and my teammate was using paint that wasnt only low quality but old as well. He had been chopping paint and, knowing him, his velocity was probably set to the max. He had no problems when he was sniping or using good paint, just when he was spraying with that old stuff.

Yeah, A-5 flatline is a lot better. For one thing, it's a helluva lot shorter xd And it has solved a lot of the old problems, such as paint chopping and stuff like that.

Just wondering, have they come out with any hing type double triggers for the A-5? I know they have a normal double trigger, but i don't like that dual curve thing.

Flatline barrel is the best upgrade you can get for a tippman. Another upgrade is getting a different gun because they are not thet good anyway.

Maybe not for your airball you love so much, but in the woods, Tippmann is god. Those guns are so reliable nothin else even comes close. You get a little mud or somethin in that DM4 you love so much, the gun goes to hell. I've dropped my A-5 from a tree house onto a pile of rocks, and it still works fine.

I just bought an MP-5 style airsoft rifle that comes with a built-in flatline. After using it, I think that I will get a flatline for my A-5.
