Hey Guys,
I've just been discussing with Gank about having a selection process for Gaians wanting to join the guild.
The reason behind this is so we don't get immature idiots posting here.
The selection process will involve a questionaire which will be sent to the would be applicant. Judging on the answers given it will be decided wether the applicant is succesful or not. A system for this is still being finalised.
The draft of the questionaire is as follows:
All questions should be answered in as much detail as possible so judges can decide of the suitability of your application.
You will be judged on the honesty and maturity of your answers, if you are found to be bull-shitting you will not be accepted.
If you are not accepted in you application you will have to wait four weeks before you can re-apply.
1. In detail, why do you want to Join the Anti-Bullshido Guild?
2. Where did you hear about this guild?
3. In your own words, what is your idea of Bullshido?
4. Have you had experience with a bullshido art/school? Give details.
5. What styles have you practiced in the past and what styles do you currently practice? How long have you practiced them?
6. What is your reason for training.
7. How old are you?
8. Have you ever been in a life threatening situation? If so how did you deal with it?
9. What is your idea of a traditional martial arts style?
10. What is your idea of a modern martial arts style?
11. What is your idea of an effective technique?
12. Is there anything which you would like to add as to why you feel you will be a valuable addition to this guild?
This thread is going to be a sticky and once the detail are finalised it'll be updated.
UPDATE! I'm going to start PMing crew members to inform them of a new applicant from now on. I suggest other crew members do the same if an applicant pms them.

I think it's a great idea, since most of the people who applied on the old thread didn't really give a lot of information about themselves.

Reim But I say, take away the age question. The reason behind the age question along with the other questions is that the person/s judging the application will have a good idea about the person applying. While they are not going to be judged on their age alone they will be judged on their honesty and maturity. I'm sure I speak for everyone here when i say that the last thing any body wants are ******** like the ones populating the other Martial Arts threads posting pure bollocks (shite) in here. I also think it'll be a good idea to background check that person as part of the selection process to ensure that it isn't a clone account and that the person isn't known for spamming and for talking s**t. This can easily be done by checking their profile and using the search function to check their previous posts. It might sound over the top but i'd like to make sure that this guild stays at a standard so that the serious martial artists can post informative information without fear of having some idiot ruining it for everyone else.

Gad dayum, we've got a total of 10 people in this guild. I think we need to start looking around for people to invite. Does anyone have anybody in mind?

Im just afraid of the whole "He/She has some really weird opinions, I dont know whether its a bullshido or not. Ohwell, she's only "XX"" You know? Let's make sure to invite people with new ideas, bullshido or not.

The only people I can think of are the ones that were in the old ABG, but I'm sure you invited them already. Looking at the people who post in the sports forum, I can't think of anyone. Intelligent, non-bullshido martial artists are unfortunately not common on Gaia. -Edit- I think the majority of our members from the old ABG just saw the link in Gank's sig and followed it here, so I guess we should just post around more often (as in somewhere other than the sports forum).

Maybe we should do a recruitment drive, where we add in our sigs that the Anti Bulshido Guild is recruiting serious martial artists only and all people interested can contact Gank. We can then use the questionaire to find out if they are serious or not. If we post around in the sports/GD and ED people should take notice.

Bruce-Ganked-Lee Hey, I went ahead and invited Thuner Foot since all of you pretty much know him and what not. I'm glad you did. 3nodding I was going to suggest that he be in this guild, but since he wasn't in the old one even though he read the threads (...I think...), I kind of guessed that he wasn't interested. AxeWebby would also have been a nice addition, but I think he said in one of the sports threads that he also wasn't interested.

He asked to be in the guild. I thought I had sent him an invite a while ago, but I guess not. So yeah, he's now a member. I think I might put an announcement thread up stating new members and what not.
Oh, and Delmar's g/f is also in our guild too (Jacked Up Russel), if yall haven't noticed.
