the letters on the dreidel, nun gimel hay shin, are an acronym for "neis gadol hayah sham (sp)", "a great miracle happened then", referring to the miracle of channukah. that was a fun sugyah

Does anyone know a place online I can buy Hebrew alef-bet flash cards that have the transliterated letter on the back? The last set I bought had the Hebrew letter spelled out in more Hebrew letters. sweatdrop What help is that?!

The textbook my Hebrew grammar class uses is Ha-Yesod: Fundamentals of Hebrew.. But it's not much help if you're like me and can't read very well. sad

Israeli dreidels have nun gimel hay pey, acronym for "neis gadol hayah poh".
