Updated, since I saw people posting againYour gaia name, why have you chose your gaian name to be what it is? J. Thorn, because it's the last name of a character that I wrote up once, and I figured it would work for an alias. It also sounded like something a supervillain would have, so it worked. Your location (doesn't have to be exact): East Bay, CA. Your age: 26 How long you've trained for: In my current style, about 2-3 months. The Styles you used to practice and how long you trained in that style/s for: Cuong Nhu Karate: 6 Months Judo: 3 Semesters Kajukenbo, 1 1/4 years Everything else was fairly informal. How often do you train. 1-2 times a week. School+Work doesn't leave a lot of breathing room(though I should be going to three times a week in the summer, since I won't be working(I'm a school instructor)) Areas you'd like to improve on in your training. I'd just like to learn different styles, and I'd like to improve my stamina. I'd also like to learn more styles, such as Krav Magra, Sayoc Kali, Muay Thai, Chinese Kenpo, and Vale Tudo/BJJ. I'm currently liking my style, though. Definitely up my skill in sparring, as well... Most valuable lesson learnt: Humility will get you many steps farther than cockiness, and patience is a virtue. Hell, I keep a shirt with a confucian saying on it-"Sit by the river, and eventually your enemies will float by". One piece of advice you'd give fellow member of the bullshido guild. For the love of all that is holy, please don't claim you're invincible. I've also found that Standing Bags < Hanging Bags. Ambitions what are your current goals? Trying to be able to handle myself in a conflict, top ranking in the martial arts at my current school SDI Fremont, and be healthy.

Your gaia name, why have you chose your gaian name to be what it is? Jass, It’s my most used nickname in real life
Your location (doesn't have to be exact): Birmingham, England, United Kingdom
Your age: 21 (29th August 1983)
How long you've trained for: 17 years approximately, I was first enrolled in martial arts at the age of 4.
The Styles you used to practice and how long you trained in that style/s for: God, I can’t find the inclination to list them all right now unfortunately, however I guess I can update later.
The Styles you currently practice and how long you've practised them for: Ju Jutsu – 17 years, the duration of my training. Brazilian/Gracie Jiu Jitsu – Around 2ish years on and off Boxing – 10 years Muay Thai – 13 years Lascada Eskrima – 4 years R.O.S.S – 18ish months I guess you can’t really add JKD as a style, however it is rather the fulcrum upon which the given styles adhere to, myself.
What you look like in real life (just a description, height, weight, build etc). 6ft5” (around 197cm) 253lbs (******** knows in stones) creamy olive tanned skin, blue eyes, black hair, shoulder length, non overly robust build lean (probably due to ballet as a younger as much as martial arts )
You fitness level (how well conditioned you feel you are) On a scale of 1 to 10? I’d say 10 but then I guess I can improve. My muscles aren’t just an aesthetic addition lol, and as far as stamina etc I’m quite good.
Additional Training (weights, running, yoga etc) Weights Swimming Running 10+ miles a day depending on my damn dog (husky…-.-) Javelin (woot) Nothing else of note really
How often do you train. Everyday. 7-12 hours a day, I have a very strict regime that’s specifically geared, its very rare for me to just abandon it for a day or two.
Areas you'd like to improve on in your training. My manners?
Most valuable lesson learnt: Respect for my training partners and teachers, every inch of your success, your knowledge, your experiences etc are generally down to them, they always have been and continue to be a wealth of knowledge and a valuable asset to me.
One piece of advice you'd give fellow member of the bullshido guild. Don’t over do it, make sure you know exactly what you’re doing, its effects on your mind and body both short term and long term, don’t worry if you’re sceptical of your instructors, you have a right to be so.
Ambitions what are your current goals? I have more than one goal, both martial art/fitness related and more personally geared, I’d like to be able to spend more time with my girl friend…hmm…martially speaking? I’d like to experiment with a few more arts.

Your gaia name, why have you chose your gaian name to be what it is? well i couldn't think of anything at the time and i thought about karate, so i just put kempo in and just put master in. i donno.
Your location (doesn't have to be exact): suburbs of detroit, michigan. usa.
Your age: i'm almost 18 and out, but right now i'm stuck at 17
How long you've trained for: um, i started at 5, jass has me by a year. trained up until now with a one year break in between schools looking for a good one.
The Styles you used to practice and how long you trained in that style/s for: er... i don't remember what i tried at 5, but i did tang soo do for... 9 years. i quit that school, tried some tae kwon do places for a few months. stuck with ryukyu kempo now, for 2 years. i forgot i did ju jitsu for around 3 months and modern arnis for about 3 months. they're incorperated in my school and we had a separate class going. i always for get what i've trained sweatdrop
The Styles you currently practice and how long you've practiced them for: still in ryukyu kempo. i'll be going for my black sometime soon. we're a relatively new school so we only have 5 black belts right now.
What you look like in real life (just a description, height, weight, build etc). tiny, with a side of small. i'm 5' 5" and 135 lbs (like 60 kg?). partially oriental and a small build.
You fitness level (how well conditioned you feel you are) endurance = 0. for my size i have medium strength, but i use my speed as much as i can and i'm trying to improve it.
Additional Training (weights, running, yoga etc) i sit... a lot.
How often do you train. generally at least everyday, even if it's for 5-20 minutes. on weekdays i can get 4 hours in, but on week ends it's usually down to 30-45 minutes.
Areas you'd like to improve on in your training. endurance = 0, still. although i would like to try some other arts. i've trained in some different arts, but i'd like to put some real time into them.
Most valuable lesson learnt: silly brittish. learned! or maybe it's just my spelling, i don't know. everytime i think i'm getting good i train with someone new and learned that i don't know crap.
One piece of advice you'd give fellow member of the bullshido guild. try out arts and find what works for you. there's no ultimate art and there's no perfect art but there should be an art or 2 that works well with what you want.
Ambitions what are your current goals? i want to become as proficient as possible with my art and go from there.

Your gaia name, why have you chose your gaian name to be what it is? Well, Celestial has been my favorite word for as long as I can remember (it looks so pretty, doesn't it?), and Dreamz....I just came up with that because some moron stole the username I wanted.
Your location (doesn't have to be exact): Long Island, NY
Your age: 15, 16 in January
How long you've trained for: Not very, compared to all of you. I think it's been a year and a half now.
The Styles you used to practice and how long you trained in that style/s for: WTF TKD - 1 Year
The Styles you currently practice and how long you've practiced them for: Genbukan Ninpo/Kokusai JuJutsu Renmei - 1 1/2 years
What you look like in real life (just a description, height, weight, build etc). I'm 5'4", and I only weigh 105lbs. I've been trying to gain weight, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm moderately tan, and being female, I doubt I can be considered muscular, but I definitely have developed some muscle. I'm asian, so black hair, about shoulder length, and brown eyes.
You fitness level (how well conditioned you feel you are) Unfortunately, I think I'm just average.
Additional Training (weights, running, yoga etc) I'm doing yoga in my gym class at high school, and I jog.
How often do you train. 2-3 times a week.
Areas you'd like to improve on in your training. Mainly grappling and throws, but I could use improvement in everything.
Most valuable lesson learnt: Don't hold back.
One piece of advice you'd give fellow member of the bullshido guild. Always be willing to learn.
Ambitions what are your current goals? I want to try and maintain a top ten class rank (high school), and if I'm lucky, go to an Ivy League university and become a lawyer. In terms of martial arts, I'd like to be able to continue studying ninjutsu until I have enough free time to pick up some other styles, preferably Muay Thai or Boxing (something full-contact-oriented).

Currently 2.5Xweek due to expenses & flooded scheduling. Areas you'd like to improve on in your training. Reflex & breathing pattern. Most valuable lesson learnt: Stubbornly, size does matter. Your gaia name, why have you chose your gaian name to be what it is?Thunder Foot, and the reason I chose that name, is because that is my nickname in the gym. Your location (doesn't have to be exact):Huntington Beach, California Your age:23 How long you've trained for:about 16yrs The Styles you used to practice and how long you trained in that style/s for:hmmm... Boxing, I have been formally boxing ever since age ten. This was the time I was entered in a league for children by my Father. He was a golden glove contender/champion back in his day. Since then, I've never stopped. However he had me putting the gloves on since age seven. Taekwondo, I studied for approx. 5-6yrs as well as instructed for 3yrs. I also studied Mugai-Ryu Iaido for about 2yrs. I also studied Shorinji Kenpo for about 2 months, enough time to find out it wasn't for me. Same with Wushu, I did that for about a month as well... not for me. Other Styles I can add to that list are, Aikido, Aikijujutsu, Krav Maga, EPAK Kenpo, Hapkido, and Shotokan. These are arts I have tried over the years, that I only did or a few months, before I discovered I personally didn't agree with them. The Styles you currently practice and how long you've practiced them for:Taekwondo- (WTF 2nd Dan, ATA 2nd Dan, ITF 1st Dan) I still visit the old Dojhang (my WTF Dojhang) from time to time. I'm just going to say 5yrs for the following styles. Because that is the length of time I have officially been studying under Guro Inosanto. It was during this time, that I was formally introduced to a great team of Teachers. However, I was informally being trained by Kru Vut in Muay Thai for two years prior to Inosanto's academy. Jeet Kune Do Concepts – Conceptual Student 3rd level (soon to be renamed Jeet Kuen Do) Thaiboxing & Muay Thai– No rank (However Kru Vut associates felines with your style and level of technique. He calls me a panther. I have two Kru’s whom both teach a different style, Traditional and Modern.) Boxe Francaise Savate-White Glove Capoeira- Blue Corda Brazilian Jujitsu- Purple Belt Kali- White Stripe Pentjak Silat- No Rank. The great thing about the Inosanto academy, is the fact that you can learn each art individually, or cross train. The choice is entirely up to the student. What you look like in real life (just a description, height, weight, build etc).6ft 2inches and about 235 pounds. Fairly muscular, or atleast I try. You fitness level (how well conditioned you feel you are)hmm... I would say I'm fit. I've recently been on a strict diet to gain muscle mass, and as a result I have moved from 223lbs to 235lbs. My Guro still feels that I may be a bit too muscular however. Additional Training (weights, running, yoga, etc)Weight lifting, jogging, and of course thumb excerise on the video games... etc. Also, meditiation to relieve myself of mental stress... and find answers. I also Instructed a system I developed called F.I.S.T. ( First Impulse Stimulation Training) as a smaller part of a Tactical Protection Awareness Program available only to Law Enforcement in the L.A., Orange, and San Diego County districts (with the guidance of Inosanto of course). For those who know Vunak, it is somewhat similar to his R.A.T. system (Rapid Assault Tactics)which is a watered down version of his Progressive Fighting System, which is a watered down version of Jeet Kune Do and Kali. Anyone looking for info on Vunak, can look here ---> Paul Vunak among other places. He is also a student of Inosanto's whom teaches Self Defense to the U.S. Navy Seals. Anyway, back to me... This was the result of a request from my Guro. The system, is basically techniques taken from Silat, Kali, JKD, and BJJ condensed in a simple as fast learning process, so a student may retain some form of defense from a few seminars. The T.P.A. program (for short) was a culmination of seminars combining Self defense, Gun handling and safety, Terrorist protocol and procedures, basic medical awareness, and a few other things. F.I.S.T. was the the Self-Defense portion of the bigger program. I have also been to Malay and Burma training Muay Thai under the guidance of Kru Vut. Through Kru Vut, I have also been to the Fairtex camp in Bangkok, and also in San Francisco, as well as two other camps in Thailand. And for those that don't know, Thai camps almost always include fights. I have a few other experiences which would probably make this too long to read. How often do you train. a minimum of 3 times per week. Areas you'd like to improve on in your training.I am currently focusing closely on my trapping. I know how to trap, but at this point, it’s a matter of programming my body to make them automatic. Most valuable lesson learnt:Relaxation is the key to speed. also, Time is very valuable. One piece of advice you'd give fellow member of the bullshido guild.Real fighting is chaos. Form can not be confined to something that is formless. Prepare. Ambitions what are your current goals?Hopefully I will get the opportunity to compete in K-1 or some MMA events in the near future. I also have a dream of establishing a Martial College Institute, where people can achieve College credit for the study of the Martial Arts... being both physical and literal. Where Martial Arts can be respected as a science... but let me stop before I go rambling on about that. I am also working towards my Black belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu, which isn't too far away. I would also like to obtain my Silver Glove in Savate and continue earning rank in all the other arts I’m currently learning.

Your gaia name, why have you chose your gaian name to be what it is? Morrigen, Morrigu is a Celtic goddess. She is a death goddess associated with Macha and the Babd. She shapeshifts into a raven and decides who will die on the battle field. Why did I choose her, I dunno I just really like her...
Your location (doesn't have to be exact): Durban, South Africa
Your age: 21
How long you've trained for: Aikido (2 years), Chaun Cheun and Hing Cheun Kung Fu (4 years), Yang Style Tai Chi (2 years), Purple Cloud Chi Kung (1 year)
The Styles you used to practice and how long you trained in that style/s for: See above, I no longer practise Aikido
The Styles you currently practice and how long you've practiced them for: See above
What you look like in real life (just a description, height, weight, build etc). 5'7", Long straight brown hair, green eyes, muscular build. (I am not going to say how much I weight because then everyone thinks I am fat... I AM NOT FAT, or even PLUMP.... I just weight a lot!!!)
You fitness level (how well conditioned you feel you are) Very Fit
Additional Training (weights, running, yoga etc) None
How often do you train. 6 days a week. 3 Days Kung Fu, 2 days Chi Kung, 1 day Tai Chi and 1 day teaching kida class (trust me, this IS training!!!)
Areas you'd like to improve on in your training. Physical. I really suck at physical... but that is just because I am a girl and need to work a little harder than others
Most valuable lesson learnt: Keep your eyes on your opponent and your tongue in your mouth. It doesn't matter how badly you suck when you start, if you can make it through then you are meant to be here.
One piece of advice you'd give fellow member of the bullshido guild. If you have something to say, then back it up...
Ambitions what are your current goals? At the moment, to finish tiger form and get onto Dao. To get through yellow t-shirt intact. (I am told that I am currently going through the toughest phase of the curriculem for girls.....arrgghhhh...if I have to do another handstand pushup I think I will cry....)
Ok, so enough for my whining. That's me! Morrigen
