-In the woods outside of durem..ish-
"Mom, over here!" Came a the delighted call from somewhere done the path. Osso continued to run and weave in and out of the trees off of the trodden path. The stern yells from his guardian fell upon deaf ears as the child showed no sign of slowing down.
"Osso, just-AUGH!" Azumi shook her head with some frustration. That boy had broken into a steady run as soon as he had gotten out of the car and hadn't slowed since. He'd been over here and over there and now it was beggining to send the Noir into utter confusement while only entertaining Kanti. Though despite that, she just couldn't get herself to be all that mad. He was a kid, after al, and kids were supposed to run around outside....Not like he did that enough all ready.
After battling the incline of the path, Azumi found herself at the top of a hill like place where she finally caught a glimpse of her other child. Some many feet below her on the right there sat a little creek that gurgled and spilled over a narrow river bed. Ferns lined the creek sides along with good sized boulders and oak trees and there crouched down at one side was the Mishap.
Making her way down and off the path, which wasn't easy with a squirming baby in her arms as well as a backpack, the werewolf finally got to her other child. "What'cha got there?" She asked of the boy who was bent over the creek.
"There's little fish things in here," he stated. It was actually fairly intertaining to watching the little fish flouder around and try to make it up the creek.

Shane was putting about in the woods on his bike. He'd gone through the portal in the HQ for once, found that it worked very well, and decided to show Pyren what life was like outside the HQ. Shane had to keep a careful eye on what paths he was traveling on though, as any mass amount of dirt would surely make him sick.
Pyren, unaware of any danger around him was having a great time bouncing along in the motorcycle's sidecar. He giggled and squealed as the road turned from flat and paved to bumpy and uneaven. Many times it seemed like he would fly out of the sidecar, but he was firmly strapped in, and there wasn't a thing to worry about. Instead, Pyren took it upon himself to try to make as much noise as the motorcycle was making, then point to, and try to name every form of wildlife they encountered. So far, Pyren had already picked up on the words: Tree, fish, bird and squirrel. To Pyren though, squirrel meant everything that wasn't a tree, fish or bird.
As Shane motored along a branched off part of the main path, he noticed a strange boy run across it, followed by his exasperated mother. Something about this boy seemed familliar though, and he decided to take a small detour and follow. He carefully stopped his bike a little bit off of the path, and just within an earshot of the two people.

The Noir had already heard the motorcycle, very clearly in fact, but no notice thus far had been taken to it. Wolf ears were perked to mainly catch the sounds her charges were making, which was turning into quite a bit.
"Kanti! Don't scare the fish! Mom...!" Cried Osso as the cheetah babe, who had toddled closer to the stream's edge, slapped her hand into the water.
Orange oculars flicked up towards the bone child and the slightly towards her new motherly figure who was busy dragging out a towel from the pack. Seeing as Azumi had said nothing, the babe continued to slap the water and squeel in delight everytime the fish would scatter.
"If you stay still, you imp, more will come," Osso stated in an irritated tone as he hopped onto a rock. It was then that some buzzing sensation flitted through his mind for a second or two. Images flashed before his mind's eye and in a rather matter-o-fact tone he said, "Oh, and mom. There's people at the top of the ridge thing."
"That's ni-what?" Azumi had just registered what her son said and was already looking around for the other people. She never tried to put the motorcycle sounds and these hidden others together...in fact, she had almost forgotten about the motorcycle.

Shane had just enough time to carefully pick Pyren up out of the sidecar when he felt Azumi's gaze. He held Pyren in one arm very carefully as he looked down at what seemed to be, a blonde haired skeleton. Something about his apperance made Shane fish into his pocket with the other hand and pull out the HQ map that he kept on him. Unfoturnatly, the map opened up on its side. Not wanting to take the chance of accidentally dropping Pyren, Shane tilted his head until he read the name Osso. He knew that the word Os was French for bone, which the boy down by the creek had pleanty of. If this boy was a Mishap as Shane suspected, Osso would be the perfect name for him. He also thought, that if the boy was indeed a Mishap, Shane took the chance that he may even know Osso. Taking a stab at his intuition, Shane pointed and called down to Azumi and asked
"Hey?! Is his name Osso?"
Pyren looked down the ridge in awe. There were people down there! And there was water! Water meant that there were fish. The instant Pyren realized this, he squirrmed about in Shane's arm, desperatly wanting to see the people and the fish up close.

Both Osso and Azumi pin pointed the exact location of the other being as soon as his words left him.
"Yes. Why?" Azumi asked questioningly, though a stern tone had taken over her voice. She stood at the creek side with arms folded over her chest, tail swaying steadily behind. Who was the man and how did he know her son's name? Perhaps Azumi would've gotten the idea of him being another guardian, but from behind her glasses, she still hadn't seen the blue child he was holding.
Osso just staye crouched on his rock. Hollow gaze watched the new person, for he hadn't seen the other child either, with curiosity, but also with aprehension. How DID that guy know his name? Too bad those vision things didn't give information along with the images.
As this all went on, Kanti had not deterred in her splashing. Every three seconds she'd still slap her hand onto the surface of the water in sheer delight.

Shane carefully made his way down the incline with Pyren in his arms to meet the family by the creek. He realized how odd it sounded for him to be asking such a question at random, but at least he knew now that he was right. There was just something about classifying Mishaps as though they were different than normal people. Okay, sure they were different, but that didn't make them a whole new species did it? He wouldn't expect Pyren to go up to another Mishap and ask 'Is that a human?'.
Shane stopped his now quicked pace, due to the hills decline, behind azumi and Osso so that he could see them both clearly. Slightly embarrassed, he held out the map of the HQ to them with his free hand.
"Just a guess. I saw you in the distance and just guessed that Osso was a Mishap, same with his name," Shane said, and then he put the map in his mouth and used his still free hand to turn it so that his hand was pointing to Pyren's room and then let the map fall out of his mouth so he could still point and speak at the same time. "And this is Pyren by the way, our room is over here."
Pyren looked from Azumi, to Osso to Kanti quickly. More people! They seemed fun. He also noticed that there was a creek filled with water. Water meant that there were fish!
"Fith!" Pyren exclaimed as he struggled to try and release himself from Shane's grasp.

Azumi turned slightly to meet the pair as they came down the incline, the Mishap now suddenly visible to her. Seeing the blue child made the Noir feel slightly foolish for giving such as harsh tone to them...or well, it was harsh for her at least. Arms fell from their crossed position and she slid her hands into the back pockets of her jeans. wolf ears listened to the still un-named man speak and explain. When the map was presented to her she leaned slightly closer to look and nod before looking to Pyren with a smile.
A few seconds after he finished, Azumi snatched the map and extended her hand. "Azumi Nore. And this is indeed Osso and the little one is Kanti," she chuckled. "Sorry if I had sounded a little rude back there...Parental instincts, as I'm sure you can understand."
While his guardian and the man talked and listened and such, Osso took this time to slide quietly off the boulder. The bone child stopped for only a second to pluck a resistant Kanti from the creek edge before he made his way over to peer up at Pyren. Osso noted his smooth, shiny looking skin and his purple hair as well as the amber eyes that sort of matched his sister's.
"Phhhbbbt!" chidded the cheetah babe as she let her long tail curl over her body. An owlish gaze was given up at the other little person with some curiosity.

Shane nodded to azumi,
"I understand," Shane said with a slight grunt of discomfort, as Pyren squirmed in his arms"Completely." Right now, his parental instinct was kicking in too, as he struggled to keep Pyren in his arms and out of the creek.
When azumi announced her name, Pyren's attention immediatly went to her.
"Nore?" he began to call out, as he tried to see where Lenore could be hiding in the woods.
Shane was now greatful that Pyren's attention had diverted from the water, but now he chuckled at the boy's confusion. Pyren, Shane knew, was a smart boy when it came to word association and mimicry, but now he seemed to be completly befuddled. To try to correct this confusion, Shane moved closer to Azumi and looked to Pyren as he pointed to Azumi.
"No no Pyren. That's Azumi Nore; not Lenore."
To Pyren, this new association of Nore simply meant to him that Azumi was Lenore in disguise; or if not her then one of these three new people must be Lenore. Quickly his eyes began to dart about until he spotted Osso, just over Shane's shoulder. Osso had bits of black on him...but he didn't look like Lenore. However, he was hiding something in his arms. Could that be where Lenore was hiding? Pyren now tried to struggle out of Shane's grasp in order to find out, all the time whining "Nore, Nore!"
"Ho boy," Shane sighed "This might take a while to fix."

Both Azumi and Osso tried hard to keep away the burst of laughter that was so wanting to escape right now. The two seemed to always share emotions at the same time and now their laughter turned to some excitment...Though Osso's was on a much higher level than his Guardian's.
"You know Lenore?!" The bone-child asked, his eyebrows raising and interest rising. The whole little confusion about his mother's last name went completely out of his head.
Azumi gave a small wave at the blue child in, well...She hadn't gotten the guy's name yet, but she'd ask soon. Upon hearing her charge's question, the same one she was thinking just a second ago, she gave a little smirk. Leaning close to the man's ear, she held up two fingers and crossed them, "they're 'together'," she whispered since Osso would always get annoyed whenever she said it out loud...or loud enough for him to hear anyways. When Pyren started pointing and thinking Kanti was Lenore, she drew away and just couldn't help but laugh this time. "Nooo, dear, that's KAHN-TEE."
Upon seeing some little kid trying to get at her, Kanti lowered her ears and pushed herself against Osso's chest. Tail drew up more over her face and body. That blue thing was WEIRD.

"Auntie?" Pyren repeated after Azumi, curiously.
Upon glancing at Kanti, Pyren realized with shock and disapointment that what the older boy said had was true.
"No Nore," Pyren echoed Osso sadly.
Shane almost burst out laughing along with azumi after hearing the news of Osso and Lenore's relationship, which was accopanied by Pyren's increase and decrese in confusion. Shane felt a little sorry for Pyren not being able to see his old friend; but figured that him meeting new friends would cheer him up. Especially if Lenore and Osso were alike enough to get along so much, he was sure that Pyren would get along with Osso too.
"No, Lenore's not here Pyren, but there's Azumi, Kanti and Osso," he said pointing to each one respectively "I'm sure they'd want to play with you too."
Suddenly, Shane got the notion that he'd forgotten to do something. There was a sense of familiarity that he got from all of them; but after reciting all their names, he realized that he hadn't given them his. Still half talking to Pyren, he glanced up at Azumi and continued.
"Then there's me: Shane, and you..." he said pointing to himself and then Pyren.
"Pyen!" Pyren exclaimed with a loud giggle, now realizing just how many people there were around him. He wasn't sad anymore that Lenore wasn't there, now that he had so many other people around to play with. Which one to start with though? He figured he'd better go with the one that was closest to him. "Umi!" he decided as he began to reach out to her to play with.
Shane cocked his head to the side a little embarrased.
"Would you mind holding him? I think it'd make him happy."

A nod was given to both receiving the man's name and the question asked of her. "Um, of course," she replied while moving her hands and arms to into a position to take Pyren. It felt a little odd to her to be holding some one else's child; like a sudden new responsibility for the kid's welfare was now put onto her... but that was probably only due to the fact that she had only ever really held her own children.
This move of baby passing did not settle well at all with Kanti. That was her mom, so why was that grabby kid being held by her!? With the cunning skills of a jealous baby, Kanti immediatly came out of her stand-off mode and now reached for Shane. Maybe that'd work at getting back at the blue child!
Osso raised he eyebrows at his younger sister's sudden change in action, but was only too happy to oblige to the fuzzy thing's wills. "Uh, Shane..." Osso said before holding out the now grabby-hand Kanti.

"Hm?" Shane said looking over to Osso, and noticed him handing Kanti to him. "Oh, haha! Okay there little one I see what's going on." he said before carefully taking the cheetah babe from Osso.
"Don't worry Kanti, Pyren's just going to be with your mommy for a short while," Shane assured her.
Immediatly after being handed to Azumi Pyren began to try and entertain both her, and himself. He started by simply laughing, and then proceeded to curriously feel about Azumi's face, wondering what it felt like.

Kanti sat rather angelicly in Shane's arms; not squirming and actually staying still. Her face, however, still showed annoyance as she looked up and back at the man from the sound of her name as well as the words that followed. If the cheetah babe was able to form actual words, the phrase "short while, my butt" would've been acidly said. Guaranteed.
Again a brow was raised by the Noir before she pulled her face away from the curious hands. Jugling the child into one arm and balancing him skillfully on her hip, she removed her glasses and set them onto Pyren's face. "There, I give you a Mishap Scholar."
"They look better on him," laughed Osso as he crossed him arms over his chest. Purple tongue was soon stuck out in retaliation towards Azumi's own little face.

As soon as the glasses were upon Pyren's face, he immediatly began to blink feverently. What was going on? The world had suddenly gone from being so clear, to being really, really blurry. Either he was sick again, or he was going blind! Struggling and crying for Shane, Pyren desperatly tried to find a way to regain his vision.
For a moment in Pyren's confusion, Shane laughed at his antics. However, as soon as he saw Pyren crying for him, he slowly removed the glasses from his face and handed them back to Azumi.
"There you go Pyren! Don't worry, it's just glasses," he comforted his son.
Pyren then looked at Azumi with a strange look on his face. People liked having their eyesight being all weird like that? Well, he would never be crazy enough to walk around with glasses again. No way. Now a little scared by Azumi's strange habits, Pyren began to reach out to play with Osso.
"Soso!" he cried
Looking to Kanti, Shane performed a quick baby swap between himself and Azumi. He then looked playfully at Kanti after he'd done so and said.
"There, happy now?"
Now in Shane's arms, Pyren still wasn't satisfied, and continued to reach out in the direction of Osso.
"Soso!"

Azumi took the glasses. Though, they were soon quickly taken again by a chubby, spotted hand that belonged to the now clinging Kanti. The Noir let the child have them; she only needed them for long distances anyways.
Kanti put the glasses to her face. The babe was familiar with the odd sight the lenses gave. Blinking a few, she turned to look at Shane after his comment and gave a sly little smile; momma's girl.
Through the glasses, amber orbs watched, along with wine hued ones, as Pyren cried out Osso's name completely wrong. "OSSO!" yipped the child before being shushed by her guardian.
Osso looked from Pyren, to Shane, to Azumi, and back to Pyren again. He didn't mind that his name was said incorrectly, but he wasn't exactly sure what the child wanted. "Uh..."
