Blizzard vs. The Dominion Juggernaut

FIGHT!
PostPosted: Sat Jul 15, 2006 5:54 pm

The arena begins to shake as the approach of the Beast is nigh. People run in terror from the great Beast, recognizing him as something he is not, the mighty Tarrasque of legend. While it is true the Beast is modeled after such a creature, the thirty five foot ten ton behemoth of scale and bone is far from the creature of legend. Bursts of destruction rumble through the arena as doors are creatively reconstructed to allow passage of the great beast. A section of the stands begins to become unstable and caves in, leading to the deaths and injury of hundreds. The rumble continues as his slow footsteps bring him to the northern gates, two jet black orbs with a crimson tint around the edges of the spheres settling upon the gate before him. An explosion of pulverized rock and what had once been the gate sprays out into the arena. When the Beast finally comes to a stop with his entire length inside the arena itself he rears back and lets out a bellowing roar that shakes the arena to its foundations. Why, for some reason, does this give the whole Mario vs Bowser impression?

Blizzard stepped into the arena, his hand running through his hair. He was tall, thin, lean muscles covering his limbs and torso.

Loose pants hung from his hips, held up by a leather belt, a silvery rose buckle holding the belt on. A loose, button up shirt hung from his shoulders, the buttons undone, leaving his chest and stomach bare. His fingers were tucked in his pockets, a metal studded wristband clasted around his wrist.

As he turned his head the light caught on many peircings that decarated his elongated ears, the points much higher then humans, as if someone had grabbed them and pulled them. Peicings covered his ears and eyebrows, his left more then his right. From his right ear hung a metal chain, the faint shimmer over it showing roses carved into the links. His hair was blue, it looked messy, as if wind had ripped at it, tearing it from its original form.

A blue wolven tail hung down behind him, a thick metal band covering the fur. A rose engraved into the metal.

His head turned, his eyes scanning the arena. They were a ice blue, his iris's fadding from a deep blue to a white, fadding through the many shades of blue before they disappeared into the whites of his eyes.

He froze, his cheek twitching as he relazed he stood in the shadow of his opponent. His eyes slowly lifted, the blood draining from his already paler then normal skin. "Damn..." He whispered, his eyes moving over the beast. "Imm... Gonna die." As he said this his first 'attack' formed. Ice spread from his feet, thickening, spreading out around him. It soon covered half the arena, a 3 ft layer of ice which continued to spread until it hit a wall.

((>.> Need to know if you accept the change to the ruleset. Its there because I'd have to strangle you if I win by time-out.))

The great Beast stared blankly at his opponent, though the glimmer of intelligence existed within his cold dead eyes. He takes but a step forward and thrusts his head forward, unleashing something akin to a breath weapon attack, clearing up any misconceptions about the Beast, for he was clearly not the legendary Tarrasque, but did that make him less dangerous...or more so? The assault escaping from his gullet was formed as three spears of Crimson Mist travelling forward at a speed much greater than the mist itself could pass, the composition of the spears almost metallic as, despite the name, the spears of 'mist' were quite solid. Getting hit or producing a barrier of energy to block these would not be advisable.

While the three streams of crimson death charged on towards his opponent blood of a clearly black hue began to flow down his left arm, a rather large, if not simply ******** huge, ball of energy gathering about the palm of his left clawed hand. Small spines of bone seemed to press out from under his scales as the temperature around him only seemed to rise. This simple effect would guarantee that ice based assaults and the reformatting of the arena to one more suited for an ice user would never be completed by far.

(o.O Huh? What change? No timelimit?)

Ice formed over Blizzards arm, thicking quickly. The ice flatened into a blade, his arm the hilt. The ice had no effect on his skin, his body heat below zero, and dropping by the second. He stood for a secound, waiting, watching the 'spears of mist' Lifting his ice covered arm. He stepped to the side as the first passed, wacking at it the secound with the thickest part of his 'blade.'

His eyes locked on the beast as he felt the temperature rise. He grinned, "Nah huh, your not alowed to play with that." Hey, if Im gonna die, I might as well have fun doing it. His eyes darkened a shade, the water in the air around him freezeing, making the temp drop again. The ice continued to creep forward, the pace slower, but still moving. It was slowly climbing onto the beasts feet aswell, creeping up it, each layer being covered by the next, thickening its hold.

((Yeah. I can just tell Clash that if he time-outs you I'll kill him, but it doesn't work unless you agree. I have to assume you'll be punctual, but the request is merely for unforeseen circumstances.))

The spears missed, something the Beast was rather ambivalent about as they burried themselves in the frozen earth behind the man. Despite popular belief, the temperature would not be falling and the Beast would not be finding ice encroahing upon him. The amount of heat being released from the abomination was intense, so much so that it was as if an inferno raged within him. This was a passive effect, one that could be enhanced by a mere focus upon the phenomenon. At best Blizzard would keep the area around himself at a steady temperature near freezing, but beyond that, he'd have a hard time.

Out from the spears and the Juggernaut himself a visible distortion began to take hold, the air bleeding red as a Crimson Mist that did not physically exist began to spread outwards, carrying a wave of heat along with it. Inside the mist the temperature simply could not be regulated from the outside, as the Crimson Mist was producing the heat the greatest within the cloud. With another step forward the great Beast reared back and then thrust his head forward, another breath weapon unleashed upon his foe. However, this time there would be no spears, simply a blast of light and heat focused in a way akin to a laser beam designed to obliterate the poor man. All the while the 'small' spines of bone continued to press outwards as the orb of energy continued to grow.

(I agree... Though if you reply when Im on, I will not promise that I will reply that night. But I will try to make it one post a day XP)

Blizz snarled, his arms lifted, thick ice walls bursting from the ground. They grew steadily thicker, even as the beam ate at them. Blizz pressed himself up against the back of the wall. He felt the temperature stop dropping, grumbling lightly. "If only you were water..." He sighed, then crouched, wincing as the wall broke, letting the beam through, heat falling over him like a cloud.

His fingers touched the ice he stood on, his eyes closing for a moment. With soft groans the ice started to shift. Walls burst from the ground, stretching into the air. They were melting, but seemed to regenarate themselfs, the water that dribbled off of them refreezing. The walls formed a maze around the beast, some of the passageways large enough for it to go through, others to small for Blizz to walk though, meaning he'd have to crawl, or take... other measures.

When the blast stopped the Beast took a step back and lowered himself towards the ground. With a roar he began rushing forward at great speed, the ground rumbling and cracking at his passing. The Beast was damned huge, and with that much momentum, the walls would simply explode in a shower of ice and water, if not melting from his presense alone. Besides, growing to a height of 35ft so quickly would be difficult. As he rushed on, aiming for where he last saw Blizzard to crush the living hell out of him by the mere action of stepping on him, his entire body seemed to convulse and then burst outward. A spray of nearly ten thousand needles exited his body, each one covered in a thick black fluid and heated to extreme temperatures. If the fluid touched anything organic it would begin eating away at the biomatter at an incredible rate, ripping apart each cell with an influx of so many diseases and magical means of rotting that little would survive just a single pinprick in the long run. In the short run, they'd likely lose a 3inch radius chunk of flesh from the pinprick.

(sorry it took so long, i didnt have access to a comp for afew nights)
Blizz raced through his maze, skidding around corners, forcing his body to go as fast as posible. The beast, being as large as it was, was easy to keep track of, or at least, for one to know they were running away from it. He heard his ice sizzling as it melted, water turning to gas at the same speed that solid was turning to water. He growled softly, skidding around a corner. Im gonna ******** die. He could see it. Him running for his tail from a giant lizard, his only advantage melted away as hes struck down by darts of heat. He ducked into one of the smaller tunnels, swinging over onto his back, pressing his hands against the ice, closing his eyes. The tunnel thickened, growing out at a steady pace. When the darts hit it ice surrounded the darts as they sliced though it, making the air around it cool at a alarming rate, the closest needed inches from the inside of the tunnel, where Blizz lay. His body quivered. He was stuck, stuck in a tumb of his own creation. And there he lay. Ice surrounding him. Ice above, Ice below. There he lay, to freeze and be one with the ice he created. He smiled lightly, laying still, hoping beyond hope the Beast didnt notice the lone tunnel, both ends blocked, among the other passages and tunnels that were melting and reforming around it.

((Its cool, have two weeks of time to work with anyhow. XD))

When the great beast finally came to a halt, something that required him slamming into the arena wall, he moved no more. The behemoth of scale and bone remained partially embedded in the wall, his focus pouring into the orb of energy flowing about the huge clawed hand that remained outside the arena wall. Oddly enough, his skull had emerged right next to a taco stand, one that ceased to be with a growl of contentment moments after he spotted it. The Crimson mist that had been flowing from the spears and the monstrosity created large swaths of ground where the ice could not grow, the heat regulated to be out of bounds for the growth, expanding with every passing moment. From between his scales another barrage of needles began to pull forth as the hole he had created began to crack outwards.

Blizz felt the ground shudder under the beast. He closed his eyes, pressing his fingers against the ground. Cool down... He felt the ground under his fingers drop afew degrees, but not the ground around the beast, nor the ground around the spears. He cursed to himself. "Heat.... its ******** over rated." He sighed, pressing the heels of his hands against his temples. This is the end... the end for Blizz.... No His eyes snapped open, a steely glint in them. "I've fought... heat users before..... Granted none of them were gigantic monsters, but still..." He sighed again, forcing his brain to work on over drive.

His left arm seemed to unravel as the skies above began to flood with black, an expanse of darkened cloud taking dominance over the skies. These were not formed of water vapor, but of evil and disease, streams of blood rising from Jugg's arm towards the skies. In a shower of rock he pulled himself from the wall of the arena, a terrible roar sending most left in the arena fleeing for their lives. He threw his arms wide and the ball of energy seemed to vanish.

For a moment...there was nothing.

And then a giant fist fell from the sky. The Crushing Fist of Spite began slamming the ground, a fist that slammed into the ground leaving 6ft diameter craters that were about three feet deep. It began to slam again and again and again, eliminating where Blizz could be by tearing up a path and closing in by process of elimination. Jugg, meanwhile, pulled himself into a ball and...began rolling. His carapice began to flare with heat as a tread of sorts formed upon his armored back, a movement of bone along the surface propelling him along like a tank of badassery in an attempt to crush damn near everything.

Blizz felt the earth tremble and shudder. He could hear the cracks and explosions of the Beasts attack. He closed his eyes, sighed lightly, trying to block out the 'screams' that the arena made, the sounds telling him he was about to disappear from the face of the planet. Something in him wanted to run. Not run away from the fight, just run. His eyes opened. The wolf. His last run had been about 2 weeks ago, leaving the beast restless. A slight smile spread over his lips. "If Im gonna die, might as well die happy."

His body convolsed. He gasped as the Change started, his shirt tearing off, pants splitting. A growl rumbled from him as he rolled onto his hands and knees, his back stiffening as his muscles spasmed, his bones cracking and reforming. within moments a wolf stood were he had crouched. His peircings were there, the thin silver chain hanging from one ear, the thick silver band still around his tail. He shook, his fur shining blue, not from the ice. The fur along his back was dark blue, the fur on his under side almost white. Between the two were many diffrent shades of the color. He shook, then snorted. The ice dome he stood in fell apart, showing the wolf the distruction he stood in. He turned, his ears flatening, seeing the fist slam holes in the ground, each one closer to him. He straightened, lifted his snout to the sky and howled. A long, low howl, that rose and fell, rising into the darkened sky.
His muscles bunched, and before the howl had even finished he was flying over the ground, his muscles singing as they bunched and sprang out. Throwing him away from the fist, towards the middle of the arena, towards what looked like life, freedom, even though the human within him sat back, waiting to be blasted to nothingness.

(And thats probly my last post in this fight... so... XD *bows* Good fight man.. XD)

(('twas fun. ^__^))

Rolling through the remnants of the cage the Juggernaut was pleased when interpretations of light gave a new target. Following after the wolf the howl only drew him in, the fist focusing as it slammed on behind him. Heading towards the center of the arena would be only folly, for the Crimson Mist left behind had turned up the heat and had been keeping it steady, now directing the whole of the concentration of heat towards the wolf in a twisting beam of focused heat and light. The fist woul come slamming in and Jugg would rush past, if not rolling right over him then causing destruction within the rain of needles from his body at passing. Survival would only be known in a second life, should Blizzard die, the body consumed by the great beast while any less than physical aspects were offered up to Mindblaze. Yummy.
