Has anyone ever played a game they would consider 'unique'? For me, I consider Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney [DS]. There are also other popular games-- Katamari Damacy, although I've never played it before. ^^; I've also seen Mr. Mosquito [PS1 or PS2, I forgot. @.@]. Also, I've read in a magazine about a new DS game-- Cooking Mama. xDD; It looks fun.
Anyhow, what are your thoughts? surprised

I agree that Katamari Damacy is a unique game. But that makes it all the more fun. ^^ Where else can you roll things and people into a giant mass that can end up being turned into a star?
I also think that Pokemon Pinball is an interesting game. I don't play Pokemon anymore but my little sister got the Pinball game and it's a fun way to waste time if I'm bored. It's not like Pinball is that unique but the way they managed to make it so that a key part of the game is still catching Pokemon is pretty neat.

Also, the battle system in Baten Kaitos is pretty unique, using magnus cards. Perhaps other games have a similiar system with using cards, but Baten Kaitos is the first game I've played that has it. It's really fun. heart

Anyhow, what are your thoughts? surprised Katamari Damacy! Ooo! I have that one! It's got an awesome soundtrack! I've also heard of Mr. Mosquito, never played it, but I'm pretty sure it's PS2. Odd take on a flight simulator, I have to say. VERY odd take. And I'm SO looking forward to the DS game Cooking Mama! That looks so cool! I wonder what it would think of my boneless chicken breasts that are cooked in a brown sugar and butter sauce with amaretto liquor and coconut rum... Won me second place in a wing contest! I won a box of chicken nuggets for it! xd Edit: DS owners should play Polarium. I just got it the other day and it's SO addicting! It's similar to Tetris in the fact that you need to make rows of tiles, but each row must be the same color, and the tiles are only black or white, and can be changed to the other color by sliding the stylus over it.

Most rpg's are real-time and/or have menu's. These have cards and it somewhat depends on how lucky you are too!

If we talked strictly battle-modes, I would say KH2 just because of some of the final boss battles made it seem that you were watching a movie. Besides, you got to play Riku for a little bit. ^.^
But over-all games that are "unique"..never played one.

I know a unique game. Does anyone remember Mario Paint on SNES? It came with a little SNES mouse and mousepad too. smile Also, DDR is pretty unique since you don't use thumbs for it. 3nodding

Harvest Moon (a game about farming? who'd have thought?) We Love Katamari ('nuff said) Super Smash Bros. (I think that the gameplay is actually pretty unique. I haven't seen another game exactly like it)
