It'd been a couple of days since her encounter with the theiving wild dog she'd never learned the name of, and fewer since the encountor with Lefika. The young cheetah had lied about being able to find her way back, and it's more obvious now than it was then because she's not been able to find anything she recognizes.
And so, Chuakari is anxiously wandering around in hopes she comes across something she knows, something that will help her find her way back to the coalition lands. She doesn't want to have to ask for help, what would they think if they knew she got lost? She isn't much help if she can't even remember where she was, or where she is! Sadly, however, that's looking like another valid option. Watching for two things increases your chances of finding one of them, right?
"Oooh," she whines, looking around the tall grass.

What a great way to find lost and wandering felines then by patrolling the borders. Even though Thanda had her cubs, the sunspot still had his duties to help towards the coalition. At the moment, he had took a break his patrol, resting in the cool shade of one of the trees. One thing about summer in Africa, the heat was nye unbearable! But one could last in it.
Golden eyes gazed over the lands, spotting the rustling inbetween the tall grasses. His ears perked forward, flicking backwards within a moment. Who was there? No one really entered the coalition lands as a intruder...but one couldn't be too careful.
Adem blinked, rising up before moving to the smaller intruder. The scent was heavy as he got nearer. "Who goes there?" He asked, more of a question then a demand. Adem wasn't one to do anything drastic to anyone...unless it was a lion.

Kari, having difficulty seeing over the tall grass, hears the other cheetah before she sees him. Her ears flick forward when the question is called out to her, and she lifts her head to try to see who she's talking to. This, only good in a short range, isn't very helpful so she rocks back onto her back legs and stands as best she can to get a better view.
"I'm Chuakari," she replies when she spots the questioner, pleased to see it's a cheetah. Maybe he's in Duma'bara too! Then she can get back home, maybe even without telling that she got lost. She drops back to all fours and steps closer to him.
"Who're you?" she asks.

As the female stood up on her hind quarters, Adem got a better view of her. Another cheetah eh? Perhaps apart of the coalition lands as well. "Chuakari?" He wracked his memory. "I don't believe i have ever met you." Of course, if he had he'd probably remember her markings...right? They weren't of everyday cheetah markings.
"My name is Davu'Adem." He said courtesoulsly. "Or...just plain old Adem." He liked his name. It was the only remainder of his old family he had left. "Tell me, what brings you to these parts? Are you apart of Duma'bara?" He questioned her, eyeing her small form before standing up again. She wasn't that old, probably just over a cub stage.

The juvenile nods to reaffirm her identity as the other tries to recall her from his memory, and she shakes her head to agree with him, "No, I never met you before. I'd remember you." She smiles when he introduces himself.
"It's very nice to meet you Adem!" Kari beams, wriggling excitedly when he brings up Duma'bara, "I am a part of Duma'bara, Laio let me stay. That's why I'm here. Is that why you're here?"
It was kind of true, why she's here. She is in the right area for the coalition, apparently. But the cheetah is going to make an effort to hide the fact she doesn't know where 'here' is.

Adem nodded.
Such a sweet little girl. She seemed very enthuastic about him. "Oh, you are?" His weight shifted on his legs, no longer in a 'border patrol' type of mood. "How long have you've been here? I don't think I've ever seen you wander here before." Though, Adem usually sticked to the border with his mate and children anyways...so he wouldn't really see anyone right?
"Yes. I am apart of the coalition. I watched the borders, along with a few other males here." The orangish male said to her with a bobbing head.
"Ah, you came just in time! I think Laio was gonna hold some sort of meeting at the large tree sometime soon. It would be for all the coalition members." The sunspot adult told her. He didn't realize the juvenille was considered to be 'lost' at the moment.

"I sure am," she says with a proud nod, "I usually am around this watering hole that's-" there is a slight hesitation in her explanation as she glances around to tell him which direction it's in, unable to decide the true one she just picks a direction and nods to it, "that way. Laio mentioned the males on the borders! Do you know Uri? He's the one who brought me here."
Kari beams proudly, it always seems to be a good idea to mention those you know, it proved you were telling the truth and sometimes they're friends of those friends. She blinks several times at the mention of a meeting at the baobab.
"A meeting soon?" she repeats, realizing that if she wants to be there- and she does- then she's going to have to find a way back there quick, "I didn't know that, it's good you told me." Despite her desire to keep her current state a secret, the anxiety shows as she glances around, then to Adem with a small smile.

"A water hole that way?" Adem eyed the direction she nodded to and blinked. "There's none that way...unless you go out of the coalition lands that is." He eyed Kari for a moment, a small frown being brought onto his maw. "Uri?" His frown dropped, leaving a slightly quizzical look on Adem's face. "I..can't say that I have...Wait." There were members of the coalition in Colche's den when she had her cubs. Perhaps Uri was..that other male cheetah? "Actually, I think I might. Seen him, maybe talked to him once or twice. I think Colche might now his location better than I do, I'm afraid." The sunspot said sheepishly.
He nodded at her next question. "Yes M'am." Was his only words for now, remember how she had pointe d out the wrong direction earlier. "Do you need help finding it, again?" He asked with a small smile, happy to show her around the lands she seemed to have forgotten.

Kari's eyes widen when he points out her mistake, but return to normal size in a blink. She'd pointed in the wrong direction, and he knew it. Guess that proves he's a good cheetah to have on the borders!
"Um, I meant.. another way," she says quickly, but not without a split hesitation, before continuing much more cheerfully, "You must know a lot about the lands if you knew I'd point the wrong way so quickly!"
She gives him a sheepish smile when he asks if she needs help finding it again, and giggles quietly. She can accept help without admitting defeat, or she can try to.
"I-" she pauses "You could show me if you wanted to.."

Adem gave a small chuckle. "I see." He smirked slightly, tail dropping on the ground. "I wander," He gave a small grin towards her. "Back from the borders and to the lands to see my female friends." He nodded, thinking mainly of Colche who had first brought him here.
At her last comment, he laughed. "You seem like you could use a bit...refreshing of the land." He chuckled, golden gaze watching her.

Kari listens to him attentively, pleased to hear that it's ok to wander from border to central, or vice versa. It wouldn't be so nice if you had to stick to just one, after all. Her ears flatten when he laughs, but she still manages to smile.
"I guess I do," she says, continuing in a more enthusiastic tone after getting her own fault out of the way, "You're real smart to notice, and you'd be real nice to help me too." Obviously she needs to work on her vocabulary a bit, but she seems content with what she says.

Adem quirked an eyebrow, but remained silent, his grin ever so placed on his maw. "Come then." The male chuckled, his tail flicking at his back leg before moving forward slightly. "Let's head for the Baobao tree." He said with a smile. "Perhaps we'll see Laio there." Or another member. "So..Chuakari you said your name was?" The male started small talk. "How did you meet Laio?" The sunspot cheetah was a curious little bugger.

Chuakari is pleased with his positive expression, and the pleasant talk- it's better than dwelling on the fact she's lost or that he needs to show her way.
"Ok!" she says with an eager nod, leaping forward to follow along, "I met Laio at the water hole I mentioned before, where Uri left me before. She was out for a walk or something- she's real nice. How did you meet Laio?"

Adem nodded as she spoke. "So...Laio just had found you, something like that?" The sunspot questioned, eyeing the salmony female before continued to walk. The two had passed a few rememberable landmarks, like a small waterhole as well as the ability to see the tall baobao tree just to the west. Adem would take Kari there next.
"I met Laio through Colche." He gazed back to Kari, watching her reaction to the name Colche. "Do you know of her?" Just in case she didn't, he would elaborate on her. "Well...Colche showed me these lands when I was younger...and when taking a nap, I had awoken from Laio's scent, and...well became a bit timid of her." He grinned sheepishly. "Though, it's all good now."

"Yep!" she agreed with a bright nod, following carefully after him. She did take notice of the waterhole, if only to realize that it wasn't the same one she's been staying at. She squinted in the direction of the tree when she noticed it, which was some time after it came into view.
"Hm?" she looked back to Adem when he answered her question. The name didn't sound all that familier to her, so she only nodded along with him. "So we both got here 'cause of someone other than Laio," she observed, smiling. Kari looked back to the distant tree.
"That's the tree out there, right?" she asked.
