| The Return of Makadari and the True Blood|
I'm beginning the firekin plot that I proposed a few months ago. The support for the idea was overwhelming and there's been a good deal of planning and waiting for just about the right time to get things going. Soon everything will be in full-swing and we hope that everyone that showed interest in the plot will participate, it promises to be quite a turn of events for the firekin and possibly even the pridelanders.
Original Interest Thread - If you have any questions all the info can be found there. smile
Just to ensure everyone-
arrow Permission to use Makadari's spirit was given by Daimyn to Kolina. arrow Permission for the plot was given by Dustfeather if Kolina approved. arrow Permission was given by Kolina. arrow All lionesses that will soon be involved in Makadari's plan to revive the 'true bloods' will give concent. There will be -no rape- involved in this plot. ___________________________________________ Summery:
Azeze, the son of Mwali and Koho, was cubnapped out of the pridelands themselves only a season ago. Malik ran off in pursuit of the firekin male that had captured his brother, finding himself lost in the desert after a few days. The cub passed out, too weak and bruised to continue on. When he awoke, he could only recall visions of ghostly lions, the thick smell of damp humidity, and hushed voices, but he awoke back in the pridelands. A bit older, Malik went straight to the king Mufasa who called a hunting party to seek out their lost pride member.
Mwali opted to join the hunting party despite the nightmares he had been suffering in the past few months.
__________________________________________ Phase 1 - Players:
If you're interested in taking part of the plot, post in (())'s that you would like to participate and with which lions. Some lions are already going to be apart of the plot through default carryover from the hunting party in the pridelands.
If you're planning on playing try to check back often, we can still drag our heels a little bit, but not too much. If we wait too long the opportunity for plot might die.
Thalion | Mwali, Malik, Rehema Doomi | Jasiri Kolina | Kinja Kimera | Ripuka DDB | Mchele Meepfur | Azachamorel MidnyghtIce | Koho
___________________________________________
Every night his face grew more and more vibrent in the mind of the exiled prince of the sands. The flames of his enraged spirit consumed the corners of Mwali's awareness. Visions of the sands ensnared the lion's senses, the roars of the blood thirsty pride from the wastes rang in his ears, and the ever watchful gaze of his ancestors weighed heavily upon him. It was obvious that something had been troubling the red giant. He had grown jumpy, paranoid, never walking alone or straying far from the cave. To which effect, he partially blamed the kidnapping of his son on. If he had been there to hear Malik's cries... If only.
Malik led the small hunting party, nearly fully grown and already showing signs of being every bit of a physical brute that his father was. His head was thick, already mostly covered in a blazing red mane, running down into the powerful hulking shoulders that rolled under layers of pure muscle. His broad chest already growing more and more shaggy inbetween the thick front paws. His eyes blazed forward, every bit determined as he was the day that Azeze was taken. He had grown, he had others with him... his noble father, Rehema, and Mufasa himself. Perhaps more if others decided to accompany the prideland king. We're comin' bruddah...
Following just after Malik, the dark chocolate lioness, Rehema, walked boldly. She was just a bit younger than he was but no less determined and firey. Her mother and Mwali had gone through a lot, their family was close as could be so the disappearance of Azeze was as much a blow to her as it was to Malik or even Mwali himself. She was a talented hunter and a headstrong fighter, often walking along the boarders of the pridelands in search of rogues who dared to enter on hostile terms. She moved smoothely up beside Malik, pressing her shoulder to his, "We'll find him.... they can only go a few places in the desert, right?"

((Hey Thal! Kinja is all set to get involved in this. I'll get her positioned near the Firkein borders. If you need anything else from her or want her involved in some other things just LMK. I'd be happy to get her into the RP more.))

[[Yay whee ]]
Jasiri stayed in back, making sure everyone was keeping up with the group. So far there were no stragglers, and she hoped it would stay that way. She wanted to come back with more than when they started, not less. Her tail swished behind her, and she walked now with a little more bounce in her step. It was strange, she shouldnt be excited that they were going back to the Firekin, a place she dreaded far beyond anything other, but it reminded her of the older days, when traveling was her life. She was older now, but still feirce as ever. She could take on a Firekin if she needed to. Anything to help her friends. She had been keeping an eye on Mwali, something was obviously troubleing him. She wasnt surprised really, losing a son was one of the hardest things a parent has to go through. She padded up beside him, her eyes casually scanning the horizon. "Its not your fault.." She said, as if reading his thoughts. She gave him a slight nudge on the shoulder.
Miles away, under the shade of a palm tree, a pale young lioness tosed and turned in her sleep. She kicked and moaned, trying to drive out the horrifying images flashing through her mind. If anyone was watching her sleep, they would have thought she was having some kind of seizure. In a instant, her golden eyes flashed open, and she sat up with a start, panting heavily. "f-father?" She questioned, though there was no one around to hear it, most certainly not her father. She got up, and started to walk one way, then turned around and walked back, unsure of what to do with herself. This couldnt be true...it just couldnt. Her father was kind and gentle..but that dream. Oh that dream! Maybe, just maybe, this dream was different. Maybe it was just a figment of her imagination. She stoped, and looked outwards towards the sands. She couldnt risk it. People where in trouble..her family was in trouble. Maybe she could get there in time to stop it. She began at a sprint, running in the direction she wanted to go. It would take days, maybe even weeks to get there. But she had to get there...before it was all to late.

(( As you know Thal-bunny, I'm allowing Ripuka to be a part of this plot by continuing the line of pure bloods. I think I have enough RPs for her already but if not I'm sure I'll have time to get them collected before the plot gets to that point. ))

((All added everyone, thanks for your interest :3 )) Mwali smiled weakly to the comfort offered to him by his 'daughter', or that's how he always had seen her. He knew it wasn't really his fault, but as the cub's father he felt partly responsable... and a member of his own former pride to boot. He coudln't help but wonder if the pride still had it in for him. Surely they did, with Kimeti on the throne and his young mind having evolved to that of a firekin king... a grude was never forgotten until settled, "Thank you, Jasi... it's just upsetting. We'll find him."
Or he hoped...
He winced slightly as visions of the desert returned to him. Sand that appeared red as blood in the light of dusk, black forms with glowing eyes moving powerfully over the sands, the firekin in their former glory watching the cliffs of their home den like the tyrants of the sands they were.

Malik continued forward confidently, pausing now and then just to get a good look around. This was the way. It was still fresh in his mind. He could almost see that damnable red blob making his way for the sands with his brother's form bobbing around in his jaws. If he was dead.. oooh there'd be hell to pay and he'd be sure to deliver it first hand. "I'm t'inkin' it was a rogue... or a lower-ranked one... 'e came alone, I couldn't see no more 'round or smell no one else, no? You'd 'tink if 'e was at all important 'ed have some kinda back up, no? The lot of us should be well den more enough fer one red brute- no 'fense, pop."
"All hail the fearless leader...", Rehema rolled her eyes, padding herself up along her mother with an effectionate nuzzle, "I'm sure he's fine, Azeze was a clever little cub and I'm sure he picked up some smooth talking from you over there... I'm sure they're just...." She winced at the thought, but it was better than the alternitive, "..Made him a slave? You were a slave though weren't you mom? And you got out just fine."

A dark form on the edge of oblivion had followed the group for a day's time, using the secrets of shadows and light to hide from wandering eyes, and playing in the winds favor to hide any scent. An air of sorrow hung over the muscled power of the body, a heart without the fire of blood, defeated. As the lioness's face turned to the sun, exposed flesh struck across her once golden beauty, a split line distorting her flesh from below her eye across the soft flesh of her right cheek. Lowering her blackened form back to the earth, the huntress crept closer, familiar scents washing over her, dispelling bits of her sorrow and filling bits of her emptiness. Her amber eyes shown from her shadows, guiding her to the small grouping of lions.
With a growl and a pounce and a roar, her dark form leapt into their path, her hardened gaze falling across each before settling on the leading male. Her vocal cords made no more noise than that, as she waited for their actions, her face distorted by the exposing flesh, taking away her once flawless beauty and putting an emotionless shame in its place. Her eyes that were once filled with a burning fire had chilled to a brutally primal nature, sorrow hidden silently beneath.
Koho had returned.

The red goliath paused in mid-step as a powerful but horribly familar roar thundered over the winds. Mwali frowned slightly, moving himself inbetween the leaping golden form and the others, shaking out his thick mane to allow the matting from the night before away and to restore it to its large, intimidating state. However, as the lioness appeared his expression softened. Both Malik and Rehema gasped behind him, Malik moved forward but Mwali put a paw out slowly to detour his son.
"Koho..." he said softly, stepping forward. The brief haze of thought leaving his mind for his beloved mate, "Oh my love what's happened?"

Her eyes, those loving eyes that had watched over so many cubs through so much of their lives, those eyes that had taken in sunsets with her mate so many months ago, those eyes turned coldly towards Mwali, recognizing only faintly her own child behind him. "Mwali...." In a turn as drastic as her appearance had been, the stoic form of the lioness shattered, pools of memories filling the empty amber of her soul's windows. It was as if that single word and recognition was able to wipe away all the torturous pain of the months past. Giant pads took a tentative step towards the family, as if wondering that they were disappear again, as they had so many nights in her tortured sleep.
"Mwali.... what has happened?" The guilt, the shame, the horrible torturous pain would not leave her alone, as if some sort of emptiness had been created inside of her weeks ago, and somehow, her love had to know the answer, and had to be able to make it better....

She returned the nuzzle to her daughter, happy to have someone of her own bloodline. Not that she didnt think of Mwali and Malik as family, because they surely where, but her daughter gave her an excuse to think about Sukutu. How she missed him... She thought about the question for a moment, images of long ago flashing in her head like a movie. "Technically yes, but I never had to endure the hardships that the other slaves go through. I got out before any of that was ever put on me, thankfully." As Jasiri caught the sent, Koho appeared. A breath caught in her throught, and her eyes grew wide as she stared at the once beautiful lioness. Jasiri to wanted to run to her, ask her every question that was running through her mind, but she stayed back with the younger ones. "Come children, lets leave them to talk." She knew she would find out what had happended sooner or later, and she knew Mwali and Koho needed there time to catch up. She turned and started to walk in the other direction, ushering the others to follow.
