"Since 50 Mt is 2.1×1017 joules, the average power produced during the entire fission-fusion process, lasting around 3.9×10-8 seconds or 39 nanoseconds, was a power of about 5.3×1024 watts or 5.3 yottawatts. This is equivalent to approximately 1% of the energy output of the Sun during the same fraction of a second. The detonation of Tsar Bomba therefore qualifies, even to this day, as being the single most powerful device ever utilized throughout the history of humanity. By contrast, the largest weapon ever produced by the United States, the now-decommissioned B41, had a predicted maximum yield of 25 Mt, and the largest nuclear device ever tested by the USA (Castle Bravo) yielded 15 Mt." Their missile delivery system sucked though and their air force was shoddy as well.

They had more concentration on Trains and Railroads than cars.

Gracchvs so when does N.Korea get some? No, no, no. North Korea had best not be getting any working long range missiles anytime soon. I don't trust Kim Jong Il. He might be audacious enough to actually use them.

The CCCP focused to much on heavy industry and should have tried for more "comercial" items, increase the lives of the workers and they increase work.
Kim Jong Il is an idiot, China should annex N. Korea and then the problem would be gone. Would you miss him? I think not. 4laugh If Kim had a Tsar bomb and tried to launch it, it'd probably land right on his house.

I think that the Soviets should have pumped more into their domestic economy. Its those bread lines and lack of cars that killed 'em, not the nukes or invasions they were heavily preparing for. :/
