Does anyone have a link to a site where I can get the game script?

Btw while looking around I found out some interesting stuff.

Several of the characters names were slightly different, but some were a little more drastic.
Terra was Tina
Sabin was Mash

Some esper names were changed.
Stray was Cait Sith
Terrarto was Midgar Sormr

Some of the esper attack names were different
Shivas was Diamond Dust
Odins was Zansetsuken

Some esper graphics were changed.
Siren originally had no shorts, her a** was just hanging out there
Starlet originally showed a bunch of cleavage and her rear end was uncovered as well.

Cyans book of secrets was originally a porno mag

Cafe signs originally said Pub.

I already knew about the name changes, and sirens graphics, but the porno mag, starlet, and pub sign kind of interested me. And the name Cait Sith really threw me for a loop.

From the original to the released version, swearing was all over the place by everyone. Cyan's swordtechs were named differently, same with Sabin's blitzes.

OH YEAH You had the option of renaming Cyans sword technique's as well. That would have been rad. So yeah... umm... anyone know where I can get the script?

Of course by Cyan, you mean Cayenne.

It was a while ago since I saw that, so I forgot about that.

As for teh script, I have no clue, I just played about 5 hours into an untranslated game, and it sucked. (I was at the part where you pass the war with Kefka)

Type "Final Fantasy III, 3, VI or Anthology script" and something should come up. I'm not sure wether you want a literal translation of the Japanese version, in which case there is a translated rom that is supposed to be excellent. I haven't played it yet because I keep forgetting to put the patch on a floppy 0_o

I have the ROM!
And, Gaia just ate my long, explainy post, so I'll just say this:
"Stray"? I've only seen CaitSith.
Siren- Not much to the imagination, but she's not fullblown nekkid.
Cyan's "Mystery Book" is indeed a PORNO MAG! xd
"Cafe" is NOT a word in this game.
Starlet? Who's that, now?
"Terrarto"? Never saw that, but Midgar Sormr sounds familiar.
--There's swearing!--
Terra = Tina (auto-name, you can call her Terra.)
Sabin = Mash (auto-name, you can name him Sabin. His name is still Sabin Figaro in the credits, though.)
Lock = Locke (auto-name, I don't understand the 'e')

As for getting it:
Y!IM me
or
Email me @ "kenjoki"@gmail.com. Remove the "" marks.
I got it from "The Cult of Kefka" (oddly enough!) Run by Randy T Gophr, it supplied me with many SNES ROMs, before finally disappearing off the Net one day... sad

Interestingly enough... "Midgar" is a derivation of the norse word for "the realm of men" and Sormr means "sperpent".

In the US version, Cait Sith was named Stray, its the cat that hops across the screen. You get it along with Ramuh, Kirin, and Siren.

Lock = Locke (auto-name, I don't understand the 'e')

The game was supposed to have a Fench feel (names and places are supposed to be pronounced with a French like accent: Narshe, Celes, Jidoor ect) I've never pronounced them their proper way of course xp (Narsh, "Seels", Jih-door) I don't speak French, not entirely my fault. (No ammount of correction of the pronounciation of Celes's name will make me say it the correct way. She's been "Seels" for 10 years, I'm not changin now, for anyone)
Lock is not a name in English but a verb or noun so it was changed to the French name wink Locke. I personally agree with the change.

I don't understand why they would have Sabin's Japanese default name as Mash but then in the credits have it as Sabin... Is Mash supposed to be a widely used nickname, then? I'm not sure I understand this. xp

My theory on the Sabin thing-
Well, he ran away from Figaro, right?
So, he's in hiding, and he's training. But, he doesn't want anyone to know who he really was. So, he's using an assumed name, "Mash", because I guess that's kinda what he does. Mash stuff up.

But that's just my idea, maybe the character namers had had a bit too much Sake or something that night.
wink
And, the Locke thing makes a bit more sense now, thanks.

P.S. I always pronounced Celes as "cell-ease". But, I'm known to be weird.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 14, 2004 2:11 am

I pronounced it Cell-ess. And I have always pronounced setzer's name zet-sir, always have, always will. Anyone ever read dragonlance? You known Caramon? His name is pronounced Kare-a-mon, a play on caring man, such as Raistlin is a play on wastling, because of his frailty. But I have been calling him "Serr-a-mone" for like over 12 years and it aint changin...

Lol
In the Harry Potter books I've been pronouncing Hermione as "Her-Mi-Own". Apparently I've also been pronouncing her last name incorrectly as well.... xp
