Lounging in the sun could only keep Uzushi's hyperactive mind content for so long and that tiem was almost out.
He had spent the morning being groomed by his mother, chatting with his siblings about relatively useless things and had snuck away to try and find these hoo-mans that everyone was talking about.
The pack had grown tense, everyone seemed sad and for little Uzushi'bueta, it was becoming a place he was growing to dislike. He adored his parents and most of his siblings but the land they were on made him somewhat unhappy. This was why he was more often than not, seen on the uotskirts, finding adventures to keep himself occupied.
"What shall we do today Kalpana?" He questioned, getting to his paws and shaking his form well."
Let us find a friend.
"Friend?" He glanced around expectantly, "but I don't see anyone nearby, or smell anyone for that matter."
That is because they move with their nose to the wind.
"Oh yes! I remember now. Naughty breeze always disguising new playmates. So, which direction?"
Follow the wind Uzushi and you will meet her.
With no questions asked the little pup moved off, letting the wind drag him towards this new face. He trusted Kalpana one hundred percent, for she was the only one who truly knew him.
She was the voice in his mind, the friend in his heart.
She was the seer inside of him.

Chachili was bored. It had been a long week, and she'd done nothing but gnaw on grass, on a quest to find the freshest blades. However, she'd stumbled across nothing this day, and was beginning to tire of the search for the perfect patch of grass.
Sighing, the grey Klipspringer leapt to her feet, trotting slowly to a nearby water-hole. The water was crystal clear, the purest Chachili had come across, and she'd been able to find this water-hole with the help of an odd green cheetah, only days before.
It was strange... Chachili had met quite a few predators lately. If she were a fawn, she would've turned and bolted, had she even scented a threat. But nowadays, the adult Chachili was bolder. She was also, as a result, less cautious.
However, today the Klipspringer lifted her head without so much a bat of an eyelid, scenting a strange aroma riding the wind. It was a weird smell, a smell of a creature she had not yet encountered.
What was it?

The Wild dog moved swiftly, his paws becoming more graceful with age as he searched out this new friend. Kalpana continued to urge him and it wasn't long before Uzushi realised where the wind was leading them.
"To the waterhole!" With a small yip he increased his pace, feeling the ground beneath his pads.
His colourful pelt blazed under the sun and as he moved swiftly between some brambles to push out of the other side he came in sight of a rather strange looking creature indeed.
"Hellooo!" He called, padding casually over with tail wagging, eyes bright and ears perked. every part of his essence screamed 'friend' if one could understand canine body language that was.

The Klipspringer blinked. This sure had been an eventful week... friendly predators, all about, greeting her like she was a friend. Chachili awaited the day that she would meet one of her own kind... or at least something with hooves.
Still, Chachili liked the fact that she had someone to talk to. This pup could prove entertaining. He certainly looked the part... his pelt, tinted and splattered with several different colours made Chachili's own grey-and-white pelt feel rather plain.
Stepping forward, the Klipspringer's eyes narrowed. She lowered her head, ready to charge, if the dog were to attack.
"Uh... hi..." she said, a little coldly, "Who are you?"

Uzushi blinked and slowed to a halt, watching as the strange creature lowered her head. She didn't sound as friendly as he hoped, but maybe she was just shy?
"I'm Uzushi'bueta, but you can call me anything yah want, some call me Uzushi, some Bu, it's up to your preference really." He turned his nose to his right and smiled, "and this is Kalpana, she told me that a friend was nearby and I found you which means you must be a friend!"
He bounced lightly on the spot and waggled his tail more. "What are you anyway? Not seen a creature like you before though I must say you have pretty fur. Reminds me of the sky on one of those misty mornings where everything looks different but wonderful! I remember I ventured into the trees and almost got lost! If it weren't for my nose then I might never have found my way home, though the fog did clear and everything returned to normal...a shame really because I like the fog, it's good for hiding!"
He trailed off and smiled sheepishly. "Do you have a name? Though I'm sure you do and I'm even surer tha it is pretty!"

Chachili tilted her head, confused by the dog's introductory speech. Sure, she understood that his name was 'Uzushi', but who exactly was this 'Kalpana' the dog spoke of?
"Right," Chachili agreed, looking slightly puzzled, but feeling calmer having learnt the young dog's name, "So, you're 'Uzushi', are you? Yet, I don't see anyone beside you... tell me, is your friend 'Kalpana' invisible?"
She stepped forward a little closer, turning her head sideways. Maybe Kalpana was an ant. Maybe the dog was making her up, as an imaginary friend. He seemed to have grown from being a pup, but he wasn't yet an adult. Then again, maybe the dog was mad... the African savannah was hot, indeed, but hot enough to make one able to lose their mind? Chachili wasn't sure.
"Well, then, if you mean no harm..." Chachili became bolder as she spoke, "I'm Chachili. A fighter. Killed and eaten three wild dogs, I have."
She always told this lie. Chachili could not fight at all... though she was learning. Slowly.
She listened as the dog spoke again, blabbering away. Would he ever stop? Chachili didn't know, but she didn't exactly mind. It was entertaining, especially on a day where she had little to do.
"Thankyou," she said after a while, "I was born beautiful."
She looked at the dog, once more, deciding to make conversation.
"Say, you look like a fine young dog. Nice coat you've got there. It's almost as fine as mine, I must say. Do your parents have the same coat as you?"

Eeee conversation! Uzushi loved to talk and he was pretty sure that this little creature loved to as well.
He continued to wag his tail and opened his mouth to explain. "Kalpana is invisible, yes. Only I can see her but she is real. She's not imaginary if that's what you're thinking. She knows stuff yah see. She tells me things before theyhappen! Right now I was sunbathing and then she says, follow the wind and you'll find a new friend, so I walk and I walk...or run...and then here you are! She's magic." He nodded.
Uzushi would probably never act his age, for he was a child at heart, young and innocent and ever seeking adentures. His dream was to find the end of the rainbow and it would be this that would guide him through life.
"I've never met a fighter before! You must be really strong Chachili! I definately won't pick no fight with you! Never, ever, ever! I'm not a fighter, I'm a...dreamer! I dream stuff!" He yipped again, "maybe one day you can teach me how to fight? Though I 'spect you fight different from wild dogs, you have hooves instead of claws! Though really we use our teeth to fight...do you have big strong teeths?" He blinked and moved closer, tipping his head to the side.
"My coat is a mix of my mother and my father. The...orangey-red bits are from pa, black bits are from both, but the cream and white are from mother." He nodded, "I got all of their colours!"

Chachili grinned. She was beginning to like this dog, more and more. She'd never met a creature that had accepted her lies so easily. Chachili, however, did not see her tales as lies. She saw them as innocent stories, and tried to make these stories as impressive as possible, throwing in herself as the main character. If only she had children to tell them to... Chachili shook the thought away. She didn't need a fawn of her own. She was treated badly enough by her own mother, so she did not need children of her own to abuse. The cycle could not be repeated.
Still, this dog acted just like a... a...
A child.
The Klipspringer shook her head, trying not to treat him any differently than she should. She wasn't completely sure about Kalpana's existence, but she decided to trust him. He seemed to trust her.
"I believe you," she grinned, "So tell this 'Kalpana' of yours that I said 'hello'. You must be a pretty special pup to have an invisible friend. I wish I had one like that when I was a fawn."
When he praised her fighting skills, Chachili grinned ear to ear, then puffed out her chest and tried to look impressive.
"I'm a fierce warrior," she reared, standing on her hind legs and waving her front hooves wildly in the air, "In fact, I'm going to be a boxer. Boxing, as you might know, is a hare's sport. The fact is, I'm learning off a hare. It's tough, because my hooves aren't meant for boxing. But once that rabbit teaches me how to box..." the Klipspringer flashed her teeth in another wide grin, "... I'll show 'er a thing or two. In fact, I'd even teach you. You have potential, you know. I started as a dreamer, too. My teeth aren't strong, no... but my hooves, on the other hand, they're as hard as diamonds."
She was enjoying bragging. It was dreadfully fun.
"I started out just like you. You could become a warrior, too. Your coat's perfect for it... makes great camouflage, doesn't it?"

Uzushi nodded and moved even closer, snuffling at the air as if trying to memorise her scent. "Yup, special! But then again my mother tells me that everyone is special in some way or other. Whether it be their furs, their personality, their skills. You're special because you can fight!"
He listened to the rest of her account, ears twitching up at the words 'boxing'. It all sounded very exciting. "Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun! I bet you'll be able to beat that hare no problem! Like you said you have strong hooves so you'll easily outmatch soft paws. I'd love to watch you train one day!" He seemed quite unaware that fighting and boxing could be considered something bad and violent, all he saw was more adventure and a way to fill boring hours with fun.
"Good camouflage! Yes indeed it does! I can slink through the grass and go completely unnoticed if I wish!"
As long as you don't trip. Kalpana teased gently.
Uzushi simply wrinkled his nose and watched as the Klipspringer reared, copying her action and balancing on his hind paws whilst wheeling at the air with his front ones.

"Well... I guess my hooves would pack a punch..."
Chachili looked to the ground. She decided not to tell the wild dog about the time she'd fought a hare - with those soft paws he was talking about- and lost. No, Chachili was only a novice. Still, hamming it up was fun... and although she was not going to admit that she was a novice, she wasn't going to delude the dog with false information anymore.
"Sometimes, soft paws are an advantage. However," Chachili grinned again, practically beaming, "I guess my hooves can be handy, too. Yeah. You'll have to watch that battle, Uzushi. That hare is the master of boxing, you know. But when I'm through with her, I'll be the master. And then, maybe, possibly, I'll be able to share some of my battle tecniques with you, someday."
The Klipspringer, however, spoke of the hare without spite. She regarded the creature as her 'rival'. Really, she did not hate. There was nobody in the world that Chachili hated. Except...
'Father...'
The thought sent chills running down the deer's spine, but she brushed the thought away with a shake of the head. She shouldn't be thinking about the past. About her father. No.
"You're lucky to have your parents, dog," Chachili smiled, "And that 'Kalpana' thing of yours. Maybe it's more of a blessing than a curse."
She turned, however, to watch the dog balancing on his hind legs. What a sight! Chachili chuckled. If she actually knew how to box, she'd teach this animal. It was a shame that the hare, her friend and Chachili's newfound teacher of the sport, still had not taught her much of the basics.
"Don't fall over, now," Chachili grumbled, "I'm not brushing the dirt off your pelt if you take a tumble. But still," she brightened, "You show promise. Maybe I should introduce you to the hare someday."

"I won't fall over!" He yipped, letting himself drop to all fours before shaking his fur vigorously. For a moment he looked slightly confused and then with a slight nudge from Kalpana he gave a small nod.
"I living here for now, this place close to my den. My father is the alpha but I wasn't the eldest born so I won't inherit anything. That'll go to my bro! But anyways, since nothing is keeping me here cept my family I gonna be travelling the world!"
He wagged his tail, eyes falling upon the little klipspringer's hooves. They really did look tough and he was pretty sure he didn't want to be on the recieving end of them. He'd be bruised for weeks!!
"So, maybe we'll meet on my travels? I'm gonna be all over the place so it might be hard, but definately not impossible. Plus Kalpana will let me know when you're nearby, she's good at finding peoples, especially friends! I would very much like to meet the boxing hare as well someday. Soudns like a lot of fun!"

Chachili almost laughed.
"You're a bright one," she grinned, "You know that, don't you?"
She listened to Uzushi intently, nodding every now and then to show her interest. She felt a little sad... this boy was talking about family. A family that she never had experienced. What was family, anyway?
Chachili feared the very word.
"Ah, that's good, then," she laughed, trying not to show how nervous she was while talking about the subject, "I, too, was denyed a herd. My father wanted another of my siblings to rule after him, so I was out of the question. However, that herd was destroyed long ago, so nothing ever came of it. Not to say that your parent's own pack will not prosper. That's not what I mean."
She smiled, lifting her head higher. A distant sadness glittered in her eyes.
"You don't need to be a ruler of some pack or herd to live a good life, Uzushi."
She smiled. At least it sounded like the boy had a good family. Sounded that way, anyway. Sometimes, things could not be as they seemed.
"Yes," she replied, "We must meet again. Gotta' show you my new moves, when I become a master fighter! I'll show Kalpana, too, if she's nice about it. And I'll introduce you to my boxing teacher someday... she'll make a warrior out of ya'!"
Nodding, Chachili turned. It was getting late.
"I suppose the sun will set, soon," she said, "We've been talking all day. I'd better get going. There are predators out and about... and not all of them are nearly as nice and intelligent as you, Uzushi. We'll meet again, there's no doubt about that. I'm a wandering soul, too, y'know!"
She flicked her head about, then got to her feet and trotted away. Before she went, she turned around.
"See you soon, then, Uzushi!"
And then she left.
(( Thanks Kim! xD That was great fun! <3 I hope you don't mind me wrapping it up. ;D It just seemed like a good moment. x3 We should roleplay again another time, possibly. ^o^ *luffles on Uzushi* Thankyou for a fun roleplay, Kim! ;D x3 *tackleglomps* ))

Uzushi was too naive to pick out the saddened emotion in her tone, his own tone that of joy almost always. His tail wagged faster but he had to admit he was a little dissapointed when she began to wrap up their little meeting.
"I'll live life free! Travel the world as you do!" He yipped, bouncing backwards and forwards as he watched Chachili speak. "Maybe one day we can travel together and be our own herd! A herd which has all sorts of animals!" It sounded like fun to him and definately a place that could be peacefull.
Deer could sleep beside the Wild Dogs without fear of being eaten.
He nodded to himself, pleased with the idea and intending to one day try and make it real. For now though he'd continue his adventuring on the borders of his packlands until he was old enough to set foot outside of it.
As she wrapped up the conversation the juvenile nodded and took another few steps back. "Till we meet again Fighter Chachili!" And as she walked away Kalpana stirred within the young seer's mind.
She's a nice one, you will meet her again.
"That's good! It's not often that a pup makes friends with a deer, but she was nice. Maybe I should turn into a vegetarian?"
Kalpana laughed, you can try dear one, you can try. And as he listened to the crunching of the creature's hooves he raised his head, parted his maw and sang his heart into the wind.
There was nothing quite as beautiful as the song of the Wild Dogs, especially not in the savannah.
(( was an awesome RP!! We'll have to have them meet up again sometime. Thanks so much <3 *snuggles* ))
