I dunno where I got the idea... maybe I've been playing too much Mario Party. Anyway. I want to draw Princess Peach.

But not exactly the Princess Peach we've all come to love. No, no. A much darker, eviller, saucy Peach. Don't ask why. :s

I have this picture in my mind of what I want to have in the end, so I'll try to explain it.

Peach will in a black and white dress, considerably shorter than her normal pink puff dress. The crown will rest on the side of her hair in a Lolita fashion. I'm not exactly sure about the hair yet... maybe black. We'll see. Red lipstick... maybe some high-heels. I want to make sure that people do realize she's Peach, but I want her to have her own dark-vibe.

She'll be on a tiny grassy island, similar in style to the ones found in any Mario game. Scattered mushrooms.

For the background... not sure. Maybe just space and planets or something?

Now, I'm going to be posting my progress in this thread. If you have ANY suggestions, please share them. I want the end-result to look as nice as possible. D:

So far I just have the basic pose. I might make her a bit thinner, and add a longer neck.

So I got the preliminary face down... I think the hair looks Peach-y enough. If you see anything off about the face, once again, point it out. Or do a draw-over. biggrin

I added a crown. This isn't the final copy, but I do like the general look of it.

I didn't work too hard on the feet 'cause they're gonna be shoed... so hopefully they wont end up looking too bad.

I'll fix up the neck soon, and maybe that'll fix it up. 3nodding

Ok well, looking at the hair, I was just thinking. From memory I always thought her hair had longer flips, and her bangs were bigger?
So I quickly drew a crappy thing on paint. To give you the idea of what I mean?
And, how you drew the hair it looks as if you entend it to be shorter than it is?
if not, just make sure when drawing further down the body, show where her hair ends?
Thats all I can see though.



For the body, I always imagine her more curvy, but she is a kid. So probably not. You've got it right.
And everything looks great to me.
Can't wait to see what else you do with it.

That's a good idea, about extending the curls on her hair. I'll do that. :3

And her hair is quite long, you just can't see it from the example I posted. In the full picture, you can see the end of it between her right arm and her waist.

I might make her a bit curvy around the mid-section... in a corset-y kinda way.

For proportions I downloaded these reaaaaaaally awesome figure drawing program. You can pick from like a bunch of different 3D poses and tweak them around to get what you want. It's so helpful for drawing people. biggrin

ya, purple is a nice tone for evil. But, you can really work well with black and white

But are you sure red lipstick? I guess it works but when I think of a more evil vibe I think of black lipstick and a slightly heavy load of other make up.

Other then that I have no other suggestions concept wise... and the art with the crown came along more then nicely. With that on her, you can easily tell it's princess peach
