Just curious. When you're using the characters like Laharl, Etna, Flonne, the story characters, do you use their starting weapon or do you use another item?
I use an axe with Laharl, a sword with Etna and Flonne gets to keep the staff. I don't use the rest of them...
How about you?

Laharl: Sword Etna: Spear Flonne: Bow. Recently though ive been training them to use all weapons. So far Laharl and Etna has mastered all the melee weapons (except staff) and Flonne is skilled with the staff, bow, gun, and sword.

i kept laharl's sword, gave etna an axe and flonne gets a bow.
but etna switches sometimes and uses spears or guns.
and laharl knows all the omega magic 3nodding

When I first started playing I left them with the originals. However, ounce laharl mastered sword I switched to the ax. Etna and flonne are gonna take longer...

I didn't even use Etna or Flonne... Laharl gets so much game time he became my only great warrior

Oh, I didn't use them much after the rollover. Laharl is there when I need another person to throw, or as a decoy. Silly AI^^

bow are one of the more handier wepons

I notice they've a high affinity for those weapons, and Flonne's pretty powerful if you upgrade her magic.

I tend to alternate spear and sword for Etna, and bow/staff/gun for Flonne.
I have Laharl stick with swords, just because he's groovy with them.

Hmmm... I switched Laharl from sword to fist to sword again, Etna from spear to axe then back to spear.... and Flonne, I could never make up my mind. she's had bows, guns, and staves all equipped to her.

Laharl still has his swords...
I changed Etna's spear for axes
And Flonne got several apprentices and uses her staff

Laharl-Sword
Etna-Gun
Flonne-Staff.
That way, I have melee, ranged, and magic...a common trio in many rpg games. Its even found in Makai Kingdom; atk, tec, and int respectively^^
