I just saw the end of the Chicagoland race and with four laps to go, Jeff Gordon "accidently" ran into the back of Matt Kenseth to get the win. I think Jeff is full of it. He knows that was left over from Bristol but he cant come out and say it cause he is still on probation from Bristol.

i was angry at gordon for spinning kenseth out...Let's face it, we all knew gordon was going to end up winning when he was a half a second faster than kenseth...Was there any urgency to get by kenseth with a handful of laps still left? That was bad on his part....Kenseth made the mistake, but gordon could've been a little nicer

Quit hanging Gordon. Kenseth was low on gas, in fact he ran out on the ensuing caution. Who's to say that his engine didn't sputter?
It really looked like Kenseth slowed down to me.

Jeff spun him, pure and simple. Remember when Dale Sr. spun Terry Labonte on the last lap at Bristol? That's part of Nascar racing. Yeah, it may not be the sporting thing to do, but that's racing. And it heats up a good rivalry that will keep everyone talking. In my opinion, this is good for Nascar.
Baseball has Yankees vs. Red Sox Football has Packers vs. Bears Nascar has Jeff Gordon vs. Matt Kenseth
cool

From what I saw, Matt was had gotten loose and when Jeff stuck his nose in there, he hit him, there for causing him to spin. Matt would have been in trouble anyways since he ran out of fuel. But who's to say that Jeff didn't want to spin him out. Pay back is a b***h....plain and simple. He could have done it at a different time. And then when the fans started throwing things at him, that was uncalled for, it really was. And if was as intentional as Matt said it was, Jeff would have been sporting a new black eye.

I listened to XM's Radio Wide Open last night, WFO! and they suggested that all the Matt Kenseth fans write Jeff Gordon a letter thanking him for spinning Matt out. Why? Matt was going to run out of fuel, there is no doubt about that. If Jeff had gotten cleanly around him, he would have sputtered out and had to coast around to the pits and get a splash of fuel under green flag conditions. He would have finished around Tony Stewart, like 33rd. Instead, he finished up around 21st. I think he said there is a 43 point difference between the two. Wouldn't it be ironic if those 43 points help Matt win the championship?

Kurokage Sanada The race wouldn't of went into overtime though He ran out before the end of the scheduled distance though, and that was under caution. The spin happened with four laps to go. He ran out within a lap or two, at caution speed. There was no way he was going to make it to the checkers if the green had stayed out.

Wether or not he would have made it to the finish is not the issue here. Jeff came up behind Matt while Matt was passing a lap car and even though Jeff had a much faster car and 4 laps to pass Matt, he punted him through the corner anyway.

Fine, it's your noose. There's still no way that Gordon could have gained that much speed that quick to punt Kenseth out of the way.

Holy Crap, I can't believe I'm defending Jeff Gordon. eek

Either Kenseth lifted to block Jeff, or his engine sputtered because it was starting to run out of fuel. You know, the whole thing is silly. It happened, and there's nothing we or anyone else can do to change it. So let's just sit back and wait for the next round in this rivalry. And there will be a next round.
