Greetings mortals! Are you ready for the intrigue and magic of the world of Eberron? I hope you are, because this game is going to run for a long time.
We'll start out in Sharn, the City of Towers, where your characters are all relaxing in the King of Fire, the largest tavern found in Hareth's Folly, a curious entertainment district featuring random-seeming architecture where all manner of inexpensive inns, taverns, restaurants, and pubs can be found. Your characters do not know each other yet, but soon you'll become all too familiar with one another and maybe become friends (or kill each other, but that's no good!!!
evil ).
In the Eberron CS, there is a new class called the Artificer. This class focuses on the creation and use of magic items, and also can use magical energy to imbue items with temporary powers called infusions.
Psionics are also a part of Eberron, so you can choose a psionic class.
I'll be uploading the books that will help you create your character.
These are large files so be prepared...
The Eberron Campaign Setting (Check out chapters 1 thru 7)
Races of Eberron (Check out the parts related to your race)
We're starting at level 1 for this campaign, using the 5d6 (drop the lowest two) method of generating ability scores, and with starting gold based on class:
Fighter, Ranger, Paladin - 240g
Artificer, Cleric, Rogue, Psychic Warrior, Soulknife - 200g
Barbarian, Bard, Wilder - 160g
Sorcerer, Wizard, Psion - 120g
Druid - 80g
Monk - 20g
There are 4 new races in the Eberron Campaign Setting.
The
changelings are a distinct race that is a merge of human and doppleganger blood. They have the ability to change their physical appearance. Many are criminals, using their disguising abilities to do elaborate schemes.
The
kalashtar are a compound race: incorporeal entities from the alien plane of Dal Quor, the Region of Dreams, merged with human bodies and spirits to form a distinct species. They're good at psionics.
The
shifters ("Weretouched") are descended from humans and natural lycanthropes. They can't fully change shape but can take on animalistic features - a state they call shifting.
The
warforged were first built as mindless war machines, but they started to develope sentience as a side effect of the arcane experiments that sought to make them the ultimate weapons of destruction. They are living constructs.
You must choose a region of origin for your character. The regions are as follows:
Adar (The land at war with the evil Inspired rulers of Riedra. Mostly human and kalashtar)
Aerenal (The homeland of the elves. Only elves live here. They worship their dead ancestors, and even keep some of them around as deathless beings)
Aundair (A peaceful place valuing education and agriculture. Mostly human, but other races too)
Breland (The industrial capital of Khorvaire. Sharn is here, so any race is possible)
Cyre, Displaced (These people had their homeland destroyed, so now they're dispersed across Khorvaire. They had a long tradition of artisanship.)
Darguun (Mostly goblinoids, but other races too... especially unsavory characters and veterans of the Last War)
Demon Wastes (barbaric human and orc tribes dedicated to fighting back the evils in the Wastes)
Droaam (Monsters live here. Various goblinoids and orcs live under the control of the monstrous rulers)
The Eldeen Reaches (Farmland and untouched wilderness. Humans, half-elves, and shifters live here)
Karrnath (A land that uses undead as soldiers. Its people are among the most sophisticated and cultured people of Khorvaire. Mostly human. Warforged are not free people here and are seen still as property of the government that purchased them.)
The Lhazaar Principalities (Mostly human fishers, sailors, and pirates)
The Mournland (The ruins of Cyre. Nobody lives here but fanatical warforged followers of the Lord of Blades)
The Mror Holds (The anscestral homeland of the dwarves)
Q'barra (A jungle region where lizardfolk, kobolds, and humans live)
Riedra (Humans here are the thralls of the evil Inspired)
The Shadow Marches (Orcs, humans, and half-orcs)
The Talenta Plains (Nomadic halflings who tame dinosaurs)
Thrane (A nation ruled by the Church of the Silver Flame. Warforged are not free people here and are viewed as property of the government that purchased them)
Valenar (Young and agressive elven nation. They are renowned horse breeders and riders)
Zilargo (Gnomes)
