AND IN NASCAR! THIS IS HUGE NEWS! STOP THOSE PRESSES!
Former Indy 500 Champion and Champ Car Champion for 2 years in succession, Juan Pablo Montoya, for which he drove for Chip Ganassi Target Racing all of those times, has signed for 2007... IN NASCAR... to drive the #42 Dodge Charger!

That would be pretty interesting..It's cool to see that nascar is officially being recognized as a good racing league among leagues like the irl, formula 1 and the rolex series

That is friggen awsome! I read the news article for montoya and it said he has NO NASCAR experience. This is gonna be really interesting to see how he fairs next year. As long as he finishes ahead of Chevy's and behind Fords ill be happy.

Actually, believe it or not, JPM has a sliver of NASCAR experience.
He swapped rides with Jeff Gordon at Indy in 03. He did very good in Gordon's car.

I think that it is awesome that he is going race in NASCAR next year. He's gonna be a great driver, he's already a good F1 driver, imagine him behind the wheel of a stock car!! 3nodding

Sorry, i wasnt saying you were wrong. what i was trying to say was that driving by yourself and driving in a pack of cars are very different things. especially since Montoya will be driving in a NASCAR for probably the fouth or fifth time in his career.

It's very big news. Do you have any idea what that is going to Nascar's fanbase? This is going to give the world a reason to watch, and expose many more fans to Nascar. This could also open the door for more drivers from other series to come over who wouldn't have come over otherwise.
