Yes, premarital sex is a sin, of course. You should wait until marriage, pledging your virginity to God until then.

Yea, I agree with all of you, but what about masterbation? I know a lot of people that would agree that pre-marital sex is a sin, but not masterbation. I believe it is all sinful, as it is a for of soddomy(SP?).

It's all sinful. Did you ever notice the parallel of spelling between sodomy and Sodom? Makes you wonder what they were doing.. or not. But apparently it's a sin, because the place was corrupt enough that God destroyed it.

wouldn't that be the same as lusting for another? I feel it is all sinful.

Premarital sex is a sin, indeed, but you guys have to remember that it's not unpardonable. I mean, I see some of the people at my church more or less ostricize this one girl because they know about her past. I have to remind them that God forgives, and we should too. Lust is an interesting subject, though. It seems that lust is an all-too-common sin. And yes, I believe it is sin. But in the world we live in, it's next to impossible not to lust at one time or another. That's why it's awesome that God forgives. What do you guys feel about "once saved, always saved"? --Watson

Once saved always saved - I believe it. Because if you reject God after being "saved" I don't think you ever were saved.

ElDestructo Once saved always saved - I believe it. Because if you reject God after being "saved" I don't think you ever were saved. See, that's what I believe. However, the subject is kind of a paradox in and of itself. It depends on how you look at it, I can't type it. It's too complex for me to put into words. My head hurts.

I actually believe in once saved always saved. However, there are sometimes I wonder about it when I see or hear of such events as what happened with my father.

I believe "once saved always saved" is possible.. i also believe it is possible for someone to fall from that too... i think it depends on teh person. I think while the Lord gives us a universal code of rules and standards to guide us in our daily living.. when it comes to personal infractions of those things.. he handles us on a case by case basis. It's not like you're in an unemployment line.. and he just calls you up on your sin.. stamps you approved or denied straight out.. he rehabilitates us.. works with us... he always tries to salvage us. and give us opportunities after opportunities. I believe that he'll do anything and everything he can to redeem us before we are called to judgement.
however, there are some cases where people are determined to be opposed to him.. or they decide they prefer to be an abomination in his eyes... and that those desires are more to them to him..
but.. my old home church was filled with people who thought so much of themselves that they saw the very mind of God and assumed they knew exactly who was saved and who weren't according to their own understanding.... but, I know a verse that says lean not unto thine own understnading but in all thy ways acknowledge him; and he shall direct thy paths.... and just like with Sampson.. sometimes, he forsees us "departing from the straight and narrow" for a season.. but he also forsees us coming back to our senses and still being his tool..a nd he uses our mistakes to bring us to a place where we do even greater things for him than we had done beforehand.. because when you mess up and go through things you get into through your own stupidity or poor judgement.. you grow learn.. and you realize the mercy and grace he shows to you.. and you appreciate it and love it and cherish it.. you understand and know it's values...
