What is your favorite Guard and/or Drumline theme that you participated in or supported?
I've never been in my school's guard, but i loved their matrix theme.
As for drumline, I loved 05-06. Our theme was iPod; our floor had a giant iPod and we do drill around it. We have single-colored backdrops and we were dressed in all black, so we are like silhouettes in the commercial. aaaah what a great show. heart

This is my first year in marching band, but this year, but we're doing songs from Wicked. Can't wait to see what we do ^^

LOVED IT. crying heart heart You guys did an amazing job. I've only been in winter perc once since I'm a freshman-soon-to-be-sophomore, but we did System of a Down songs for our winter perc show with a sort of 1984 visual twist to it, with battery being a sort of "Big Brother" military and the pit being townspeople, oppressed freedom fighters. Complete with a little love story and a death. heart Much simpler to just watch than be explained to. sweatdrop I really liked this guard show that was in the open division--Benicia Gold, I think? Anyway, it was this swing show with red and black backdrops, where this sort of dorky guy tries to win a girl's affection throughout the whole show. In the last moments of the show, the dorky guy becomes a total stud and finally wins the girl's heart at the end. But after the music stops he dips her... and... drops her on the ground and runs off. LMAO. lol

For football season, last year we did Jackson 5. It was crazy. WE had to wear these stupid beret-things that I (and the rest of my guard) wanted to destroy SO BADLY ><' During basketball season, depending on our mood, we do whatever we want. More often that not, though... it's techno stuff. Guard lives on techno. ^^ Winter season last year was I think more of a rocker-ish theme. We did You Spin Me Round by Marilyn Manson and Just Like You by Three Days Grace.

Pride of cincintii did this awsome show .... i'm not sure the exact name...but it was hippie like w/ the floor like bumber stickers and they were wearing the old fashione car jump suits!!! (like machnicks!!!) awsome show.... For us.... uh are marching season show "mobsters" was cool!!!! And i wrote this war letter winter guard show that io REALLY would love to see done!!!

We did a crazy show this year in guard. We were the voices inside the head of patient 00013. Throughout the whole thing we were a happy voice, a sexy voice, a crazy happy voice, a scared voice, an angry voice, and a homicidal voice. Then in the end we all went towards the girl who was the actual body of patient 00013 and reached towards her on the last beat of our music. But we lost. It was pretty cool. But there was this other guard that did an 80's show. Volunteer. They rock. They did the Thriller dance. It was amazing. Oh and Fuel who are amazing. They gave us the rifle they broke at Championships, signed by the whole guard. Cause we're their fan club apparently.

Well, this was definitely not one of my favorites, but it was still interesting to watch the field band fail at it. One year, they did a show called "The Wiz" and now everyone just wants to forget that year ever happened.

my favorite show that i have supported so far was our open show
they did a show called 'the power of two' with the song angel
but our a winter show this year is going to rock also . . . its called 'criminal at large' and its going to be done to the song "emty house" by shai no shai

well for me it was the d-line show we did last year...it was called Robotic Rhythmitry, we were all robots and for championships we got 3rd out of 11 in our division

One year we did 007 for our show....it was tight cause we wore shades and black and it was ******** awesome....

Vi_Hoshina This year we did West Side Story. it was awesome. My school did west sode story too, the weapon line wore these ugly looking suit thingys because they were supposed to be Tony and the flags had these ugly looking dresses.

everyone in the world who has seen it executed right knows that the best marching show ever written is camina burana
but i liked the wicked show we did my senior year, but nothing tops adiemus as far as what ive done myself, our pirates of the carribean show was record breaking, but i didnt really like that show, eben though we had a real ship and a captain jack, then my jr year we did the easter symphony, and that show was hard, and very fun

Oh dear, well let's see here..
We did 007 last season and our winter perc theme is Punctuation.
If we can pull off our winter perc theme, it'll be great.
And the year before 007 was Elements or something.
Pretty rad. ^_^
