お久しぶり
Ohisashiburi
I am currently still in Japan.
Or I have been for the past month. Visiting relatives, this and that. And my grandpa had to sell/take care of a house he had over here.
I am in Hiroshima, but tomorrow I am going to go visit my uncle in Tokyo for the rest of the week.
Gah, even though I am taking the Nozomi express it still will take around 4 hours is what it looks like.

I am kind of home sick. And my English has gone to hell, mainly because I haven't been using it besides when conversing with my grandpa, I can still type it for the most part, but speaking I switch between Japanese occassionally, or I screw something up. My grandpa likes to tell stories, and he tells them over and over again, first during the tour in English, and now I am hearing them again and again in Japanese. -.-;; I have some hogen issues too...like I don't know the hyojungo equivelent for some words, or I don't recogniz Hiroshimaben.

On a high note, I got to go into Nishi Hong(w)anji with my temple (from the USA) into a 'restricted area,' hakamairi at my family's grave, Disney Sea day, wasted 1000¥ calling home for around 6 minutes, the usual.
Which reminds me, I need to get phonecard.

Anyways, its overall been pretty cool, and I am compiling photo stuffs for when I get back if anyone happens to be interested.

So its like 12:36 here, and I need to get to bed, because my aunt is worried about me falling asleep on the train and getting mugged or something...but a lot of people here are telling me to be cautious when I go to Tokyo...though I was there a month ago during our tour.

Anyways, now I am just rambling , so time to get going.
Later! ☆
Update:
So today (2006.8.7) we wandered from my uncle's apartment to Akihabara. They like maids costumes. A whole lot.
And its pretty stupid looking in my opinion. But anyways. Being the strange person I am, I collect those little kleenex packages and uchiwa they hand out on the street.
My total so far is about 10 differernt kleenex packets and 3 round fans. So to start, we walked around Akihabara looking for stores with interesting things. There are a lot of cheap things there that foreigners can buy for much cheaper than in their home country ("Duty Free"). After some time, we got hungry so we wandered over to a famous ramenya called 'Jangara' I think. It had Kyushu ramen or summat...but it was very delicious and well worth the wait to enter the "hole in the wall" restaurant. Anyhow, after we wander over to a large electronic store chain called Yodobashi Camera (there is also a large location in Osaka close to the Hanshin&Hankyu department stores). I decided that I was going to buy a DS Lite in Japan as there are different colors, free region, and also so I could play Japanese games. Yodobashi camera was crazy; there were lines everywhere for the Nintendo DS Lite. We asked around and the guy said that it would not last past the end of the day because they just got restocked. So after waiting for an hour I finally got one and we headed off for sight seeing/ window shopping in Harajuku District.

Harajuku was freakiiiiiing crazy. There were teenagers everywhere, and probably the most foreigners (besides me). (Except now I blend in because I bought a ton of close here because they fit me better, so yeah...) My cousin Souma was hungry so my aunt took him to Lotteria to get some food while we went to the department store Omote Sando Hills. It was like being in a boutique mall...like, I could probably buy two items from the area if I used all the money that I had brought to Japan...that kind of expensive. After walking through there we decided to go stop and get a drink too and continue towards a hondori type area called 'Takeshita' Its like walking in a human traffic jam, with a ton of gothic lolitas and yamaba(sp?)/ganguro and all different types of people. I saw some weird Americans sitting around with a sign that said "English Practice 5 Minutes." Which was strange but whatever. After not finding much interesting in Harajuku we backtracked to the Shibuya district.

This district was pretty exciting, with a ton of stores and huge buildings. We were all really tired by this time, so we took a peek at the Paruko / Parco department store or whatever it is, and then tried to make our way back to Akihabara, where my uncle was parked.
I have some cool pictures to show, but my uncles card reader doesn't read Memory Stick Duo, so I have to wait until I am home. Time to go to bed, its almost midnight!

Update II: I just got home the other day. D:
I miss my relatives and Japan already.

Yeah, it was a little weird. He eats sweets like in every scene. And stirs coffee with lollipops. x0

It kind of is a bit different from the manga, but my cousin told me they are continuing it, and the next movie is due out in October or summat. It ends at like the end of the 2nd manga D;

Overall I liked it though, just because I am nerdy like that.
They are finished with DeathNote already here D:. I think I need to go pick up volume 6-12 before I leave

Mugged in Tokyo? I have been all over the world by myself and I felt safer in Tokyo then in almost any other city I have ever been in.

I just came back from Japan on monday, and having been over there for a cumulative 5 weeks over the past 13 months, I must say that I feel much safer in Japan than in any other part of the world. and i Heard about the Deathnote Movie, and one of my trip-mates went and saw it and i am soo jealous for him.

*raises a hand* I'm always interested in seeing peoples' pictures so be sure to post them where we can see. smile

The Death Note movie is something that part of me really wants to watch. Unfortunately, the other half is going, 'oh god, no'. o_o;

Whee, I leave for Japan on Saturday... I'll be in Kyoto/Nara until the end of the year. I've already started compiling a list of the manga and books that I need to buy. :3

Japan is far more safer than the US, but there are areas where you have to be careful. My aunt is just over protective I think. But she went to Hokkaido today for a birthday thing, so I currently am in Tokyo at the moment. We shall see how it goes.

DeathNote is already finished here.
The final one was released last month I heard
It would have fans if it were brought to the US, but its appealing in a weird way that I don't think people who aren't into the manga or such things would like particularly.
The train ride was a**. From Shin Osaka Station all the way to Shin Yokohama station my cabin was packed full. And I had a suitcase that I had infront of my legs, but the guy in front of me leaned back on his chair so it was like crushing my legs.
