Time had passed, indeed.

She'd found the missing cub, Tatu, only he was no longer a cub, and had grown quite a bit. He was actually bigger than the leopardess now, and it was amusing to think he acted more like a leopard than a lion, seems like she'd 'brainwashed' one.

Yet, she'd spent most of the time around the jungle, not really taking the route were it met with the desert, though, rather the other one, the desert being the home of territorial lions, even if she didn't beleive they'd care much for a leopard, you never really know. Though, it had been good to be there with Keone, or at least most of the time. She continued going in and out, just not as much.

This time, she ws returning with a gazelle, a small, baby one, not being too hungry. She ventured a little into the jungle to not be such an obvious target in the tree mass. She climbed up a tree with her measly meal, finding a good thick branch to eat on. Karama gave a quick look around to locate any signs of another's presence, before starting to eat her kill.

Every day seemed like a blur, though the time he spent away from Karama seemed to drag by. But for the most he was happy, the days he had grown up alone in the jungle a distant memory that seemed an eternity ago.

Now small ears flicked, white paws stepping lightly over the green earth, his tail swaying behind him with each step. The 'cub' was not the only one who had grown, Keone had as well, adolesence giving way to adulthood. Despite his growth, the leopard was still small, far smaller than the average leopard.

Nose twitching, the white leopard looked up as he approached a tree, a familuar scent reaching his nose. A broad grin crossed his maw as he settled on his haunched under the tree, green eyes looking up to focus on the dark leopardess.

"Hi, you're back."

Dark ears twich one catching sound, and as a quick reflex, claws unseathe from pads to slip back in just as quickly, replaced with a light purr in recognicion to who's voice it was, peering down the branch to the white male.

"Hey. Yeah, I'm not easy to get rid of. "

The last part she adds in a rather joking voice, climbing halfway down the tree to leap down the rest, going up was fine, but getting down was rather annoying.

"Anything new? "

There was a time it would have confused him or made him thing something was wrong, but over the time they had spent together, Keone's had learned much and he now understood that what she had said was meant as a joke and not to be taken seriously. He had even learned to return such statements, though he wasn't nearly as good at it.

"Well that's good, because I'd have to come after you."

His words were spoken with a smile, a light purr in his chest as he stepped toward her, his head nuzzled against her shoulder in an affectionate greeting.

"And who'd guarantee you'd succeed? "

She replied with a roll of her eyes, but with a smile. Karama purred at his nuzzle, then rolled onto her back, batting lightly at his shoulder with paws, claws seathed.

"Hey, I got a gazelle up there, ya hungry? Its not big, though. "

The small leopard purred lightly, lowering his head to lick her nose, a smile on his maw. Keone had grown in mind as well as body. He wasn't confused as easily anymore, understandin more as Karama taught him. He had grown less naive, though there was still an innocence about him, and he was as kind and gentle as ever. Though he still was terrified of snakes and wildebeasts, somethings never changed.

"Mmm...I was going to catch some fish, but that sounds good."

It wasn't often that the white leopard ate larger game, still prefering small prey such as mice, rabbits, and fish. He would have never asked to share the gazzelle, that would have been ungentlemanly, it was her prey and hers to keep to herself or to share as she chose. But he was certainly happy to share if she offered.

The dark female rolls her eyes and sticks her tongue out to the male, before rolling onto her paws and climbing back up the tree. Reaching the branch were the tiny gazelle still was, she pused it off the branch, then climbed back down, deciding there was no need to eatin the tree now. The tiny gazelle was probably not an attractive meal for something that liked big things, but she did know Keone ate smaller things anyways, and she wasen't too hungry.

"Did you ever see a twoleg? "

She asked, apperently out of nowhere. Twolegs didn't usually come in the jungle, but she had seen oone of their odd, large moving rocks not too long ago, perhaps they were setting up those traps again?

Keone's tail flicked lightly as he stood, taking the few steps toward the tree and the small prey before stopping and sitting back on his haunches again. He had been looking at the creature, debating which part of it to bite into, but at Karama's words, he suddenly looked up, the gazelle all but forogtten, his ears flicking, confusion in his green eyes.

"Two leg?" He blinked, "You mean the monkeys?"

That was the only thing he could think of that moved on two legs, though they didn't really stay that way for long...spent more time time swinging through the trees and pestering the other animals.

"Or...do you mean the gorrillas?"

Monkeys? well, the ones she meant weren't too different. Probably closer to very odd gorillas, weak, thin and furless ones. She moves to nibble one one of the gazelle's thin legs, then looking back at Keone.

"I guess their a little smaller than gorrillas.. And their legs are longer, and their arms are shorter. They stand so upright, too, " She sais, motioning to a particularly straight tree to emphatize her point.

"They don't really have much fur.. eccept on their head. And they have these very funny things on them. " She attempted to explain. "Like very thin skin. " She pokes at the young gazelle's thin leg skin as an example.

"Anyways, they set traps, and things. They have these funny tubes, I don't really know for sure, but I think it hurts alot if they point it at you.. "What the heck was a bullet? She had no idea of their existance. "I saw one point one at a lion that was trying to attack it, then it made a very loud noise and the lion died.. "

She said, a shiver running down her spine, those tubes obviously weren't any good.

"And they have these funny grey sticks, only very hard. They do something and it turns into some sort of.. box. If we get in it, I think it closes on us or something.. "

She mumbled, the warthog she'd seen in one didn't really look like it could get out, and she didn't manage to get in to get the wild pig either.

"I saw a few the other day, in one of their big moving noisy rocks. I think you should be carefull. "

Ah, what a lack of vocabulary, obviously, the dark leopard had no idea of the existance of the words 'gun', 'clothes', 'cages', 'cars'... Still, the leopardess awaits a reaction from her white, snowy looking friend.

"I...don't think I've ever seen anything like that before."

He settled down on the earth floor, maw parting to take a small bite from the gazzelle's neck, mulling over what the leopardass had spoken off as he chewed and then swallowed the meat.

"Are they dangerous?"

"Thats good. They're quite ugly, too. "

She said with a grin, those creatures wer eso ugly and deformed.. What kind of monkey were they anyways? They didn't even have a tail, and she didn't see them match much with trees.. More with their moving.. rocks.

"Yeah. And they set 'traps', I think thats a better way to call them. "

The dark leopardess commented, before starting to eat the gazelle hind leg.

Keone's ear flicked, pausing just before taking another bite of the prey, a somewhat confused expression in his green eyes. He wasn't exactly sure what she meant, but he knew he didn't like the sound of it.

Lowering his head he bite into the prey creature, silently chewing it as thoughts ran about his mind. He had always lived in peace here, naive but happy, sheltered from most dangers with the exception of the big snakes which he feared so much. What would he do if al the changed? He would be lost.

"Maybe they'll stay away from here."

"Yeah. "

She said, stopping her eating a bit deciding the gazelle was something too tiny for two to eat at the same time, and knowing Keone probably woulden't eat much either.

Giving one front paw a light lick to remove a few annoying blood drops tickling her skin, she looked at Keone at his comment.

"Probably.. They don't seem to like too many trees much. Nor all these bushes... But they might pop up at the outskirts. "

"I guess...we should avoid the outskirts then?"

He laid next to Karama, stretching on on the soft jungle floor, a slight yawn parting his maw as he laid his head on his paws.

Karama ods, pulling the gazelle over and finishing eating it. It was a habit she never quite lost to eat fast, so she was done soon. Licking the blood of her maw, the dark female looked down at Keone.

"Its hot, want to go swim? "
