Not sure if this has been done before or not but if it has, please forgive me.
Anyway, I think I may know Jeane's secret. Is it possible for her to be an actual genie?
1. She dresses very skimpy like a stereotypical female genie(Though in some cases MORE skimpy than the average genie)
2. Genies are ageless. Jeane has been in every game of the series. According to the timeline, from Suikoden IV(Not sure about Suikoden Tactics though so it may be longer) - Suikoden III, that is 168 years. It is impossible for a human to live that long(or if it is, then they would look really really old.) yet out of all of that time, she doesn't look a day over 25.
3. She's a rune mistress and a mage as a fighter. So she works well with magic like other genies.
4. Jeane's name can be pronounced one of two ways.
a. (geen)
b. (geenee)
And also, if this theory has been said alot, please shoot me for being so late.

Could be. The only thing that makes ME think otherwise is what she said to Kororu (or whatever that dog name is).

Not only that, remember what Konami said? They said that Jeane's family all looked alike. I don't really think she could be just one person after hearing this piece from the creators.

Maiden of Night Not only that, remember what Konami said? They said that Jeane's family all looked alike. I don't really think she could be just one person after hearing this piece from the creators. From what I heard this was actually I joke... but you never know.

We will never know though, not until Konami answers our questions in SVI(I have my doubts)

She probably has a True Rune that allows her to Shapeshift.

I doubt it. For some reason I cannot see a TR taking the form of a human. Unless it happened in SIV or Tactics though I doubt it

Where did they say that? confused Somewhere in the Suikosource forums, someone stated that Konami stated that Jeane's agelessness has nothing, zippo, nothing, to do with True Runes. So until Konami says something else, or another Suiko game comes out, we can only speculate what she is.

Wasnt there a seen where she was "attacked" in the bath and the "attacker" found she had no true runes on her fully exposed body

I mean for all we know Jeane can be what Nurse Joy is to Pokemon. sweatdrop Or maybe she's a vampire and for some odd reason, Sierra isn't hunting her down?
