A lot of people are railing on the new album. See, it's my favorite one of theirs and I don't understand why people don't like it. Post here if you're with me on this or if you want to KINDLY explain to me why you feel the past ones were better.
Also, post your fave album if you want mrgreen

I do like Dark Light but it's not my favorite because none of the songs really stand out when I listen to it. I heart Love Metal. wink

I hate it because there's nothing special about it.
Like I said before, all the songs are well written and produced, but they all sound the same.
They all follow the exact same pattern, and after a while the album gets so damn boring.
Espeically when you compare it to their older albums, all the songs sounded different, and they were creative and I'd never heard anything like it before.
Plus, they're completely sold out to America now. gonk

Viselle I hate it because there's nothing special about it.

Espeically when you compare it to their older albums, all the songs sounded different, and they were creative and I'd never heard anything like it before.
Plus, they're completely sold out to America now. gonk I 100% agree with Viselle. The album is very boring. AND I HATE, HATE, HATE the fact that they are such American sellouts. GAHHH!! They should have stayed in Finland....grrrr...

They should have stayed in Finland....grrrr... It also irks me that the only album that ANYONE'S ever heard of was Dark Light. Which was released after they became popular in America. Don't get me wrong, I do like it, I mean, it's better than having to listen to other people's crappy country and rap music in art class. But it really bores me when I listen to the whole thing at once. I have to put my Ipod on shuffle just so the songs won't bore me as much. gonk Seriously, though, I've noticed something about this album that I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed too: While up late drawing or playing video games, I put in one of my cd's. Well, one time I put in Dark Light. I fell asleep during Killing Lonliness and didn't wake up until I heard the cd player make that scratchy noise it does when the cd's over. Never had any of their previous albums put me to sleep like that! gonk I used to listen to HIM every night before I went to bed, and I was so excited and I couldn't wait to listen to the next song that I could never go to sleep! Even though I've heard all of their other songs millions of times before, I still couldn't wait to hear every single song on it, especially Love Metal. I was drooling all over my sketchbook when I woke up after having listened to Dark Light, and this happened 3 times already. gonk I'm pretty sure that Valo and co. didn't have this in mind when they started production on this album. gonk Sorry to ramble. sweatdrop

And as for people only having heard of Dark Light, the amount of join requests I see with "OMG my favourite song is Wings Of A Butterfly!!!!1", it makes me wanna scream.

Sadly most of the music I've heard by HIM is off of Dark Light so I know it as my favorite of their's only because I have heard no other.
