The Thread HistoryThis RPG was begun in February (04), and has gone through many players and plots. The original moderator, Cereal, handed over authority of the RPG to Kitty Little, and when real life took Kitty from us, She handed it over to Me. So, in order for me to properly run our well-loved (If not very popular... sweatdrop ) RPG, I have moved it here, where hopefully we can draw in a few more players and continue the story in the intimate setting.
The old RPG thread (Under Kitty's creation) will remain alive for OOC purposes and RPG discussion purposes.

The Rules
*Standard Gaia Rules Apply. Don't get us in trouble by overstepping them. So far I don't think we have anyone here who would report anything...but still it's not worth the risk.
*DO NOT let your character die out. If you want to Kill a character, you are going to have to give me REALLY good reason to allow it. Especially if it's a main character who is crucial to the RP!! (NPC's are exempt from this rule)
This is both IC and OOC. If you are going to leave us, please inform the management. If you are going to be MIA, PLEASE let us know if you can. Emergencies do happen, and we will understand, but if you can, let the rest of us know you are going to be gone.
* If I think you're not participating, I reserve the right to drop and/or replace you from/in the RPG.
*No made-up characters until the cast list is full. Even then, they will only be allowed under careful scrutiny.
*I'd like to have this thread used almost exclusively for RPing, so if you have something OOC to talk about, please do it in the old thread. Yes, this one is the most broken rule, and the one most lenient with...but please put forth the effort.

The History of the RP (Part One)Way back, I wrote this "rather kick-a** summary" (Quote: Kitty Little), which will again be used here to bring us up to the (Old) present...Storyteller Nakago It was a dark and stormy night....Oh wait...wrong story...Let's see...::Flips through a dusty old book, more a tome of ancient text:: Ah...here we are...The Universe of the Four Gods.
::A flash of lightning...Thunder rolls::
::Somone trips over the Special effects generator's cord and everything goes black::
::sigh:: Fine...::turns the lights on:: We'll do it this way.
The story as of now, and the most recent string of events would be (As my memory serves me...something like this. (Mind you..many characters have all but dissapeared etc...so this is all a bit shakey at the moment.))
Similar beginning to the original story...you know..Miaka and Yui make their way here...Miaka had an easy time, Yui, hardly so. The story from there however diverges significantly...On the Suzaku side, though there has not been much motion of late, all but one or two Seishi had already been gathered, and a band of them with Miaka were out in the Konan countryside seeking the others...well, Finding out about this event, Kutou...Via Nakago's orders sent spies into Konan to keep track of things. Also...A half man Half wolf has made its way into Konan and stirred up some trouble. As for the spies and the relation to the band of travellers...the plan is to kidnap Hotohori...which through spying means has been identified as His Majesty, Empreor Saihitei, thus accomplishing this would be a double whammy. Also...There seems to be a love interest between Nuriko and Miaka currently as opposed to the originaly story focusing around Tamahome. On the Seiryuu side...Nakago, is still ever the antagonist, but we must get to where we are, After her "experience" coming to this world, Yui attempted suicide to not have to live with what had happened. Near death, The Seiryuu happened upon a doctor travelling through the land who was actually a Suzaku Seishi, and he slipped through the grasp of Seiryuu after saving Yui's life. Through a few encounters, she accepted her postion as the Seiryuu no Miko and things are also now in motion to replace the current eemperor of Kutou with an Empress...so that she can save the land..even before she has the power to have wishes granted. Meanwhile...Seiryuu had a visit from an unlikely pair...Byakko decided to make itself known and Subaru and Tatara came calling on the Shogun of Kutou. All these things working to Nakago's advantage, Seiryuu Seishi are showing up without effort on their part, spies are en route for a kidnapping, and things are going well according to plan.
Most current string (on the Seiryuu side at least) would be the arrival of the Boshi Brothers and their acclimating themselvses to the Palace, Tomo is currently "escorting" the Byakko out to the Borders, by Nakago's orders with alterior motives, Yui is resting...it has been a long day (Both in the RP, and post wise to just get through this one day...wow!) Nakago was not sleeping well so is Out in the Palace, the Boshi's are settling in...and thats about where we are...(Did I miss anything major? ::hopes not:: )...we are late evening/night in the halls of the Palace of Kutou.

The History of the RP (Part Two)And now, to fill in the blanks between then and where we will leave the old thread and move to the new one. I will again attempt to summarize the events transpired, bringing us to the (New) present...Storyteller Nakago *Humming Fushigi Yuugi Theme*
*Looks up* Oh...Hello there. Didn't see you there. Please...come in, have a seat. If you've been around the Guild, I'm sure you've already had something to drink by now...Perhaps been married to a crazed fan-girl against your will...or survived competing world domination schemes...But one way or another, I am honored to have you join us here and now.
But enough with the pleasantries...allow me to bring you up to speed with the events of the RP.
There have been a few short term characters, and thus there interactions only mildly affect the entirety of the story, so I will not be spending any time on them.
That being said...our story to this point, revolves around the Byakko's interference with Seiryuu. Having already summoned Byakko so long ago, Sairou is protected, and the Seishi have all passed on and been reborn since then. These young seishi, aided by higher powers have came to Kuotou attempting to pre-empt possible future events concerning the Seiryuu. Nakago, wih his own agendas continues to strive for his goals, no matter how much the Byakko threaten his ways. At the peak of the show down, Tatara, Tokakai and Subaru were all in Kutou, and the battle lines were all but drawn. After quite a battle, less physically than mentally and emotionally, the Byakko withdrew, some willingly, others by designation, and Subaru ended up in Konan. There, she met with what has been gathered of the Suzaku, and the Preistess of Suzaku, who, as her nature goes, has run bull-headedly into Kutou to find Yui...brining the Suzaku Seishi, and Subaru, to Kutou. almost getting herslef captured at the gates of the Kutou palace, Miaka wassaved by Subaru, who was taken to Nakago instead. The "battle between Byakko and Seiryuu continued, and now, a wayward Reikaku bandit in search of his good frined has found himself face to face with a Fleeing Byakko Seishi, while the Suzaku are still in Kutou having problems of their own.

A reminder for all people with more than one character...Should things pick up A LOT...I may ask you to give up one of your two (or more) characters to another player. Please keep that in mind if things pick up.

"You know I'm not an idiot," Kouji informed her dryly. Though the wayward *he he I like that word Nakago* bandit didn't show it he was slightly hurt, people always treated him as the stupid sidekick. 'So it's weird how I talk,' he thought, 'but people are weird!' "Priestess huh? Summon Suzaku? How random that sounds Kouji." His stomach growled. "Curse you!" he cried glaring down at it. "Well, summoning Suzaku, obviously important to some people I guess. I'm sure your guess is correct Kouji. Yes, I'm sure it is."

And as if on que, Nakago appeared before her very own eyes. She wasn't sure what showed more in her expression, her startleness, her relief that he was unharmed or her curiosity as to know what may have happened during his discussion with the Byakko seishi. But Nakago seemed to have read her mind once more as he began speaking the moment he caught sight of her head poking out the dinning hall. A slight frown formed upon her face at the mention of the Byakko seishi attempting to break him. In her heart, she was angered at the Byakko's action. It was stupid of her to have thought she could remain peaceful with them if it was they who kept breaking their promises. No matter, she wasn't planning to make the same mistake again. After entrusting the Byakko seishi would keep his end of the bargain, he had sent one of his own kind to harm the only friend she had left in this world. The only one precious to her.
"Hai, I've eaten enough but what of you?" Yui asked, her tone full of concern. Had he eaten at all today and the Byakko seishi didn't give him any sort of injury did she? Still, Yui couldn't restrain herself from scanning Nakago from head to toe for any signs of injuries. She knew that he was perfectly capable of taking care of himself but still, that girl was a seishi.

For someone who claimed not to be an idiot his random conversations into nothingness were not supporting his claims of sanity. Rather, they were only serving to increase Subaru's suspicions that he was not right in the mind but she would humour him instead and simply shook her head, "Summoning the Gods allows the priestess to have three wishes and she can have anything she likes." She explained at last and then glanced at his stomach before releasing a growl herself.
"Come on, we shall find the kitchens so that you can feast." She continued and gathering her robes, she calmly made her way to the door and opened it, poking her head around outside before scuttling in to the hallway and releasing a small, cat like sniff; now if she were food, where would she be?

Her tone and manner showed genuine concern for him, even though at this point they had only really been playing. He watched her look over him as a worried mother might a child...though slightly different considering he was significanlty larger than her.*
"Thank you for your concern M'Lady...I will tend to myself soon enough."
*He continued to move, guiding her back into the dining hall, where the servants who had been inside were cleaning up*
"We have a bit of time before she will turn up again. I accomplished most of what we needed...but she is very stubborn.
For now however...I would like to discuss with you the details of your ascension. I think it would be fitting to reveal you to the people of Kutou as the Sieryuu no Miko, right before we remove the Emperor from his post."
*A light glimmer shot across his eyes as his mind went to the thought of removing the emperor...permanently. He had told her that he woudn't have to die, but there was a personal vengance deep within Nakago that would have it happen anyway...He could blame the Byakko...or the Invading Suzaku, or simply do it at a point where she would not know...his ligne of thought made him pause and he didn't know how she would take that*
"That way we can begin to bring kutou to a new glory, even before we summon Seiryuu."

Kouji tensed up at the voice of the guard and cursed turning round with a cheesy grin. "To get some food!" he retorted. He hoped distracting the guard would give the woman a chance to get away. 'Seems like she's in more trouble than me anyway,' he thought not guessing that the guard have been evesdropping. "I'd really like some chicken, do you know where to get some? Nah Kouji go for pork if they have it, it's been ages since you've had some of that." He licked the lips at the thought of it.
Ooc- Sry won't be on 2moro and possibly not Sat but I'll definitely b on Sunday!
