Stephan had somehow ended up with his back over the arm of the couch, head nearly touching the floor, but it didn't seem to bother him. His face was red and the dark circles under his eyes were still visible, but he wasn't planning on moving anytime soon. Since he had been about ten years old, he'd been a scarily deep sleeper, even sleeping through more than a few fire drills during his years at his strict boarding highschool. Currently the sleep was more like a coma, induced by antihistamines, mild painkillers, and pure exhaustion. His keys were on the floor beside the couch, dropped there when he had passed out, and a bit of a vacuum breeze from an open window in the hall had pulled his door completely open. To the untrained eye, he may have looked dead, and he might as well have been for all he responded. Every so often he would shift a bit or scrunch his eyes tight, but for the most part, he was still.
He wanted to stay that way. At the very least until he chose to wake up. Which may have been a while, considering he was avoiding a fairly daunting task. When he woke up, he would have to start hauling boxes up to the fifth floor, and worse, unpacking them. But before he got any unpacking done he would have to go to the store and stock up on food and other essentials. None of which sounded like a thrilling adventure. No, sleeping right here was just fine.

Ari walked down one of the many paths at the compound handing the small, purple hand of her little violet wolf girl. She couldn't believe she was up and out of the house at this hour. Ok, so it wasn't ohmygosh early but she wasn't usually going anywhere outside of her kitchen at this time of the day. But she had gotten a phonecall from some man she had never heard of asking to bring Ina over for a play date. It was so strange...but he hadn't answered well to any of her questions and she had been too tired to bother him further on the phone-so she decided to bring Ina over and see who the person was and if it was really ok to leave the little girl there.
Inanna seemed far more comfortable then her mommy. She was far more awake too by the looks of it, twirling about as they walked and giggling at the fresh morning air. When the saw a familiar pair of steps her ears perked and she hurried forward. These was Haki's steps, she knew! They had all climbed up them; Haki, Osha, Gavin, and herself. "Mommmmmy! Here!" She cried at the top of the stairs, for Ari had only been staring at her blankly.
Ari rubbed the back of her neck, sighing. Well, it wouldn't hurt to knock here, would it? Ina might know what she was talking about. She trudged up the stairs and knocked sloppily at the door Ina had indicated.

Haki was already edgy, wanting to see the girl in purple again. Three days ago Marc had bought her a really pretty purple dress, and she had thuoght about the girl with strange eyes and a fluffy tail. It had taken some doing to convince Marc, (he was still sulking about something), and so she was more than a little bit smug that Ina would be coming soon.
The knock was answered first by her. But she could hardly open the door. Which meant Marc had to scoop her up, bringing her to eyelevel as he opened.
"Good morning." he responded wryly. "Sorry for the early wake up call." It hadn't really been HIS idea. Only, someone had suggested maybe an entire day would tire Haki out. And he liked it when she was tired and sleeping.
It meant that he got to keep more of his money.

Mmrph. "Assholes," Stephan grumbled, angry at someone on an apparently subconscious level. He rolled over again, trying to find a position where the couch wasn't so heated up. This time though, he had run out of couch to roll onto, and went rolling right off. Luckily he didn't land on his head, at least not right away, but the action produced a loud crashing noise. That's what he got for rolling so fast. He had ended up still on his back, with his head turned a bit to the side, and by all accounts, he hadn't even been stirred. He was still deep in dreamland. Noises never woke him up.

"You honestly couldn't have called the day before or something?" Ari asked, looking a litte tired and put off. But she seemed to be keeping herself on her normal, polite level that was instinctive with new faces. Her voice didn't sound angry or anything...just a little soft and heavy from wanting more sleep. She sighed and did her best to smile, "Ah...I'm sorry...I'm Arianna. Ina's guardian. You are...?"
"Haaakiiiii!" Ina cried happily, bouncing over to stand at Marc's feet, looking up at her fellow toddler. Her fits clutched at the bottom of her spring green skirt(which actually looked rather good with the purple of her hair) and her tail began to swish this way and that excitedly.

"Inaaa!" she interrupted whatever her father was about to say by screeching just as loudly, demanding to be let down. She was, almost at once, and with that the girl in pink beamed. "Pretty green." she said, nodding.
"I'm Marc." he said, frowning. "Guardian over Haki. And yes, I'm sorry. But there is only so long I can say no to her without suffering the consequences." with the smile of 'why me? I'm just a normal guy', he offered her a hand. "Please, come in. Can I offer you some coffee to make up for it?"
The noise from upstairs was audible, especially with the door wide open like that. Blinking, she looked over at Ina with a tilt of her head. Well. What was THAT?

Ina beamed. She was about to say that Haki had pretty pink too when she heard noticed the noise. Her ears flickered in thought, for the sound was MUCH louder to her then to Ari or probably any of the others. She met Haki's gaze and blinked her golden eyes thoughtfully. She then whispers, "'polore?" She suddenly really wanted to know what that sound was!
Well, he didn't seem like such a bad guy. And she understood what he meant, sort of. Children could be very demanding, especially when they wanted something. She shook his hand and nodded, "It's very nice to meet you." She glanced at the open door and shrugged mentally. Why not? She did want to make sure she knew the guardian's of Ina's friends better, "Well...alright...though I'm not a coffee person myself."

Marc smiled, nodding his head. Haki had forced the both of them into slightly formal clothing. Dressy enough that he felt a bit overclassed from so early in the morning.
"Come in." he said, stepping away to let her walk in.
Haki tilted her head. Polore? Well, whatever that meant, if it involved the noise, she was in! She nodded her head rapidly, and stopped. "Weapons?" she asked. Surely they would need to go in prepared.
She had watched the show with bugs bunny, and she had seen the bald man carry a gun. So maybe they needed guns too! Although where they were supoosed to find them, she didn't know.
Maybe Ina carried around a hidden gun! That would be fun to see.

Ari walked in, glancing about at the surroundings as she went. Had she been a little more awake she would have been extremely focused on the toddlers and there would have been no escape for them. But she was wasn't, so it was easy for them to slip away. "Nice place you've got here..." It was far more ornate then her home.
Ina pulled a small plastic purse from her shoulder. It was colored with purples and pinks and sparkles. She unzipped it and pulled out some crayons, fake lipstick, a bouncy ball and...a tiny stuffed cat. She shook her head, "I no bring Luca's guwn." Luca had tons of toy guns! And swords too! Too bad.

Marc nodded, smiling. "We try to make do with the available space." he responded politely. Moving to the kitchen, he looked down at the two girls and decided they couldn't be that much trouble.
Yet.
Going to where the coffee had already been made (the man was addicted) he inclined his head as he pulled out another cup and saucer. "How do you drink your coffee?"
It could reveal many things.
Haki in the meanwhile, stared at some dismay at what the girl pulled out. Well. She had been silly to have her hopes up. "Luca's guwn?" but that sounded very promising. With a nod of her head, she cast a quick glance at the big ones, and smiled.
"Go up, Ina?" she asked, tucking the tiny stuffed cat in the back of her mind. What did the purple girl do with a stuffed cat? No. Wait. Never mind. She didn't want to know.
"'s good enough." surely fake lipsdtick and a bouncy ball would provide to be some kind of defense.

Ari gazed around the kitchen, still taking in much of the design of the place. Had she even been in a place this...frilly and expensive before? She doubted it. Somehow it gave her the uncomfortable feeling that if she touched anything it would shatter. Not that that was actually true.
She quickly turned her attention back to Marc, blinking, "Uh...I don't. I'm sorry." She smiled awkwardly. She didn't really drink coffee. She had never really liked the stuff...too bitter.
Ina put the stuff back in her play purse, including the toy animal. Trying to figure out why little girls put some things in their purses wasn't something to comptemplate. Perhaps it was in there simply because it fit and there was space left. "Okay~!" Ina chirped with a wag of her tail and heading quickly toward the stairs. What could be up there?

Haki beamed. Her and Ina, on the adventure of adventures! With something that was similar to a purr, she took the stares closest to the wall. Sometimes her balance wasn't perfect... and besides! She wan't to make as much room as possible.
Haki had an odd feeling that she would want to make as much room between herself and Ina's tail as possible. Just in case.
"Up up up!" she cheered.
Marc stopped, and shrugged. Coffee could show a lot about a woman. Interesting and interestinger. From so early on, THAT counted as a proper word.
"What do you drink?" he arched a brow. The flash of purple and pink he saw, but decided not to persue. What his daughter did with Ina at such a young age, didn't worry him.
Now if it was a boy, and they were older... that would be a different story.
"Something stronger?" he arched a brow. HMmm. That would prove to be interesting. Maybe she was an early starter.

"Nothing...special really," Ari replied, finding the question hard to answer. No matter how she put it she'd sound rather silly. Ah well, guess she was doomed to that today. "I...drink hot chocolate in the winter but otherwise I normally stick to milk or juice in the morning," She shrugged. Yeah...she sounded soooo smooth. Not.
Ina conqured the stairs easily. It seemed she was good at climbing them. Maybe because she went up and down a lot at her own home. Either way, she managed the stairs quickly, if clumsily. Good think Haki gave her room, because her tail did seem to swing everywhere. Ahh, the joys of having a tail~!

Haki stared with some jealousy at the fluffy thing. A couple of steps behind to avoid the swish of air and fur, she grinned, getting just a little bit excited. Maybe they would find a handsome prince up there, and she would have a happily ever after! Prince happily ever afters always made you into a princess, after all.
"There?" Haki asked, pointing to the floor they were one. It was... a little bit nerve wrecking however, and she looked to Ina to make the first move. As long as her power wasn't undermined, she didn't mind who took the lead.
And right now, she kind of wanted Ina to do the first stepping.
"Milk it is, then." he smirked. Just a little bit. "How healthy for you." reaching for a cup and then brushing past to get the bottle out of the fridge, he paused. "So, Ari. Do you live alone?"

Ina looked at the partly open door, tilting her head to the side and staring with her golden eyes. Hm...the place kinda looked like haunted houses on tv...except smaller.
...
Cool~! She grinned and looked at Haki, "Yep! But-" She changed her voice to a whisper, "We should be qwuiet." She then moved forward, moving through the opening in the door quietly and looking around inside. It was dark. But...she actually didn't have problems seeing. Odd.
"Yes...I suppose it is," Ari said with another light shrug, still feeling a little sheepish. She never really drank milk for its health value. She just loved the taste. Of cold milk anyway. "Live alone...? Well...not if you count two toddlers, a kid, and a bird, no," She smiled and shook her head. She wasn't even going to mention how Nicki loved to come calling every so often.
