Akira sat by the tree he dubbed his. It'd been a while since he went to it, and drew. So he decided, it'd be a good way to spend some time. Gather his thoughts and such-like.
It was an alright day, too. So why not enjoy some sun? Even if it felt slightly colder than it usually did...

Tal wandered around the grounds of the acadamy, after wandering into a closet and nearly getting brained by a mop.He had never seen a building so big with so many interesting things in it, and surely a building interestng on the inside had to be interesting on the outside, right?
He made his way from one of the building's walls torward a tree, stopping beside it and tapping at the bark with a claw, oblivious to the fack there was someone else there.

People snuck, Akira was convinced. Fortunately, he'd gotten used to being startled, so his reaction wasn't more than a blink and a twitch of his wings, ears, and tail.
Someone was examining the tree's bark. THey looked a little blue... and... dragoney... It was... another Dara? But...
He said he was one of the last...
"Hello?" he asked, poking his head around.

Tal jumped slightly when a head poked around the tree and spoke, though he then realized someone had been sitting under the tree."Oh, hello!"He took a small step away from the tree adn inched around to see the person better, tail tip wrapping around a small leaf on the ground as he did."What are you doin' under this tree?"He smiled and cocked his head to the side.

"Just sitting and drawing... I like to come to this tree when I draw... Helps for the creativity, I guess," He replied, with a smile.
"Oh, I'm Akira. It's nice to meet you," He held a clawed hand out, to shake the Dara's.

Tal took the hand offered and shook before sitting down infront of Akira."Im Talath."He grinned and took the leaf from his tail, running a claw over it and sniffing it before he stuck it in his mouth and ate it, wrinkling his nose a bit at it's taste."Blugh.."He shook his head and spat out a few pieces before looking back at akira."So what kind of stuff do you draw?I've only drawn in sand, but that doesn't last too long."

"Nice to meetcha," Akira replied, watching as Tal tried to eat a leaf, but sorta, spit bits of it back out... Strange...
He gave a slight shrug, "I draw anything, really... Mostly people, or things I see when I dream..." He chuckled.
"You draw in sand? Did you live near the ocean?"

"Nice to meet you too."Tal's tail tip flicked upwards as he nodded."Yeah, I lived in the ocean before I came here."His shoulders sagged slightly as a sad memory entered his mind, though he shrugged it off, not really wanting to bother someone else with his past."You drawings must be really nice."He grinned.

Akira shrugged, "I guess they are," He replied, unsure of himself. Most artists tended to, not so much dislike their work, but, seem pleased with it. Spotting errors, wishing they did something different.
More and more, recently, Akira found himself not really caring if there were mistakes or not.
"You lived in the ocean? Like... in the water and stuff?"

Tal smiled and tilted his head slightly, nodding."Yeah, I lived in the water., in a cove that you got to through an underwater tunnel.And here I got this awsome bed thats kinda like a little pool."His wings gave a slight twitch as his smile broadened.

"That sounds cool~" Akira said, interest sparked, "So you can breath under water and stuff?" He leaned forward, putting his journal on the ground in front of him, closed.
His tail twitched, ears following. His wings, however, stayed put. Seemingly resting now.

Tal nodded again."Yeah, I can breath under water.Why, can no one here do that?"He blinked.Most of the people he had ever been around could breath under water, though most of them had also been dea dara like him, or other sea-type creatures.

Akira thought a moment; He didn't recall anyone actually saying they could, or anyone saying they couldn't... He gave a gentle shrug.
"I dunno... I know I can't, though."

Tal leaned back slightly and blinked."Oh, hmmm.But you got wings, can you fly?"He tilted his head to the other side, looking over Akira's wings.

"Uhh... heh, I haven't tried yet. They're sort of new," he admitted. Sensing they were being watched, Akira's wings stretched out, leather-like flesh glowing as the sun struck them.
"Can you fly? Or are your wings to help you swim in the water?"
