Square Enix had decided to release another FF game along with the release of FFXIII when the PS3 is released
although many sources said it would have been FF7 on PS3 in active battle (think FF12), the project got scratched and the other FF game was.......................
ANOTHER FF13!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! evil evil evil

An FFVII remake for the PS3 was never officially announced. Its been hinted at, sure, but that doesnt make it official.
And from the start there were 3 games set for FFXIII.

Oh ya, and before it gets stated, the Tech Demo for the PS3 is not footage from the game. Not in the least. Its just a Tech Demo showing off what the PS3 could do.

soadshuyin is right. It was only a tech demo. They might not even do it. It takes a good 2-3 to finish up on these games. They are almost done with FFXIII *they have been working on it since ffX* and FFVersesXIII has been in the works since KH 2. And the guys working on that are the KH team and the A.C team. It might be some time *if ever* till we see this game. I don't think tell let KH be alone for too long.

There was a FFVII test on the PS3 and that made me think, there might be a game based of of the movie for the PS3. That would be prett cool.

I've read in both EGM and GI that they are remaking it. And that it's going to take about 5-6 years to complete it.

I read somewhere that re-making Final Fantasy 7 for the PS3 would take 5 years. I hate to say it, I really do, but the future of FF7 on the PS3 is very, VERY grim.

Both EGM and GI took back what they said about the remake saying "It has beed but on the self" Thats all we know. Man we now more about Crisis Core than the remake and all we know for that is the story

If SquareEnic ever made a remake of Final Fantasy VII, I'm sure it'd be after Final Fantasy XIII.
SquareEnix never did make an official declaration that they weren't. Cross your fingers, people. xp
Five years? Holy smokes, I'll be graduated and (hopefully) in university by then XD
Of course, I'll always love my RPGs heart

I'm not sure how true it is but I have heard from my mate that FF7 for the PS3 has been confirmed so don't kill me if I'm wrong.
