lol, I sort of do, but mostly I just box with my mattress. lol, it works well...actually I have to say I do alot, lol, I just remebered that I wrist and ankle weights that I strap on when punching...

Hmm hmm. My sensei once said; If you have strong muscles, you have a tendency to use them. Once you get to this point, you try to apply martial art through muscular power, not through technique.
First master technique, then enhance the muscular capacity.

I think that muscular strength is a very valid way of training. Both muscle and internal methods have their benefits. I think the true martial master is one who can find a balance between both.

I think the best way to train with weights is to have either weighted clothing or strap on weights. This way you can practice your technique while building your muscles. so after you take them off your faster but still hold the proper technique to follow through...(and when I say faster I also mean stronger)

True, but it also can throw you off. If you trian like that you iwll be prone to over-doing things. Putting a bit too much weight into your punch, or thrwoing a block just a little too far out.
If you train with weighted straps and such, you will get used to using too much force, and that's just as deadly as not using enough. That's not to say you shouldn't punch as hard as you can. It just means that you wll have a tendency to over-extend yourself and lose balance.

True you get used to trowing the technique with more strength but also stopping it with more strength. I'm reasonably certain that xanos isn't talking about huge weights, just enough to make a difference

Yeah, nothing huge, just a extra 5-10 pounds, I only have the 5 pound wrist/ankle weights, and those things are huge(mostly cause I got them from wal-mart, so ofcourse there not the best brand). Yeah, and I get what your say Hixton, but if you have to use that much force just to train technique with weights you'll probably end up hurting your elbow and/or shoulder if your punching, knee/hip if your kicking.

Umm, free weight w/o the bar's weight I think about 115lbs(benchpress) and I think the bar was 20lbs, not sure. then the universal benchpress i have done 125 pushing, but it turned into 150 lbs once in the air... Hmmm, yep I definatly have more leg strength.
