I've seen two people here with a Gibson SG Special, and both of them are pretty young (14 15). HOW THE HELL DO YOU AFFORD IT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Either rich parents, saving for a long time, a special gift or they have a job.
It's not uncommon for 14/15 year olds to do little bits of work for money.

its been brought to my attention over time that some of the best players always have the crappiest equipment. i've seen some local players with good amps, but the stuff looks just wrecked and they r the uber s**t. all the guys in my area that have really nice guitars all are spoiled brats who thnik they know how to play. its not in the equipment. its all in the player.

Honestly I don't know how they all get it. eek If it's rich parents then they are lucky. If it's anything else other than a gift from someone, I would like to know.

I agree with solsthiem. Its nothing about the equipment. You could own Jimmy Page's double-neck Gibson, but I doubt that you'd sound like him.

One thing also people with good guitars can still be good. but I kindve agree with you im not bad and Im playin on a 15 yr old takamine from a pawn shop. But I am getting a Gibson in the fall. Im saving for one as we speak.

Wonderful. Dx People think I'm spoiled and can't play for beans.
I got my Gibson as an unbalievably rare gift from my dad for Confermation, Graduation (with honors). Well...it's half my dad's. He says it will be fully mine when I pay him for half of what he paid. So I still have to work for it to actually be mine. xP And I do like to think that I can actually play well. =S

well my guitar is pretty much one of the cheapest (but not worst) models out there its the starter kit ibanez grx 40. I honestly dont mind using it I like the guitar and im used to it. However I always wish for a bigger amp and some boss effect pedals. hmm however I am gettinbg a shecter this x mas (Im paying for half of the 500 bucks it costs onb musicians)
