I do, but that's only because I have to. We don't have enough space in our apartment for any metal pads. crying I don't really like dance mats because my legs get tired more quickly when I use those.

I never use home pads anymore... mostly because I don't own one. My 'pad' is actually duct tape on the floor in the shape of a pad. It's exactly the same size as an arcade pad--despite what it looks like. ^_^

I use to have the 20$ pads but after a while they started to suck and so I bought a cobalt flux pad. The cobalt flux is much better than the arade pads. You don't even have to step on the arrow hard, just one tap and it will work.

i live in a small town so i've only ever played on soft mats neutral
i wore out my $20 ones pretty quick so i invested in some $80 mats with foam inserts - i'm gonna replace the foam with wood though so they last longer.
my next step is to buy metal pads, but not until i get me a PSP ^.^

The Ignition pads rock, but for traveling I use my soft mat.

I prefer them. With metal pads I have to use shoes(Health safety thing. >_>), not to mention most of the force comes back in a stiff recoil, making me tired far quicker.
Metal pads also have their arrows down lower. This greatly limits what I can do, like trying to step on two arows with one foot.

I use a matt at times.... To bad it's a soft one... About to buy a hard matt soon, and there are times when i'll take a break from it and play with my 2nd player controler, with a taste of heavy mode...
