Hello, wait, why is it that when I start off something it's always with 'hello, salutations, or some such silly thing.' None of that this shall not start off with that...
Well, in spite of the current situation of the Foj Guild, and the main thread for that matter. I have decided that a revival is needed to make foj take a major U-turn, from where it currently is. Flowers of Japan has plummeted since it's beggining glory days, now I'm not going to ramble on about how good they were, which will only make people ticked off, sad, depressed, or feel some hurt towards them.
I'm not pinning the blame on anyone so don't anyone think it. Problem's happen and we must overcome them. Because after all life is a Sargasos Sea of toadstooles that we wallow in.
So on a positive note what are the steps we can do to revitalize Flowers?
WELL, I think I have the answer to that.

1) We need to greet anyone and everyone that posts in Foj.
2) We need to do more than just meet&greet. We need to take time to stop and think about what people are saying, and then respond. We need to converse with everyone and anyone.
3) I understand we all have problem's but we don't need to constantly barrage people with them. But if you do have something that really is ticking you off then tell someone about it. Hell, talk to me! I'll listen and respond.
4) We shouldn't pick on other member's or other people for that matter. If you have a problem, then work it out. Don't just leave it there to broil. That doesn't help anyone, and only hurts the people in the melting pot that's broiling.
5) We need to bring back the older members. Because they are a joy to have and everyone gets all cheery. I don't know what I am personally, because I'm not really an oldbie, but I'm not a newbie.
But that's not the point. The point is, is that we shouldn't classify. Wait I've just become a hypocrit. I I'm going to italisize to show you where...

Concerning the Guild.
The guild is a wonderful place. It's a place that I used to come on quite often and see all the people that I've never seen in the main thread ever. And that was awesome! I absolutely loved coming into the guild and seeing more new people.
Because, that meant that I don't know everyone. And I want to get to know everyone. Really I really really do. But I'll admit that I, like many others, got lazy and didn't come onto the guild as often as I used to and eventually stopped going.
I don't know why, other than laziness, that I didn't come. So I think we have got to collectively stop being lazy.
No more lazy.
Lazy bad.
Bad Lazy.
Ok that was odd, yes I know, very odd indeed. But I love the oddity. Flower's is such a corky little place that it's worth the effort to keep it going. And we have got to get Pet back. School as eaten her.
So someone get out there +700 Greatsword and chop her school down. I know Kenchan has a +700 Greatsword, because I raided his house many a night.

I think that pretty much cover's everything I've been thinking about. Now if you didn't read all of that and laugh at least once, then I've failed. I'm a failure! I'm soo sorry! I shall try harder to be a funnier person.

Count me in, as you know.
I think I already do most of your suggestions, but will take more care to be sure. I always was the meeter and greeter, but not perfect, with this dratted dial-up I am stuck with forever!
I will print this all out and read it more carefully.
The Guild has always been my baby because it is so much easier to keep up in here, the thread moves so fast that even when you answer someone, they are gone, or will never see it back 20 pages!

kanin's mind is like a container. It keeps getting filled with information perceived from her surroundings, but what happens when you over fill a glass of water? It overflows. And that is why I keep forgetting that I post there whenever I try to stay, I get distracted easily. I'm really sorry for my bad habit v_v
I'll try to do my best though x_x

I agree. I have noticed that the guild is WAY too slow.
I often say 'Hello FoJ!' and nobody answers, they just carry on- it's sorta been detering me from going there as often.

Very good thoughts. I especially like the part about greeting and talking to new flowers. It was discouraging to me when people would say "I don't like to go to FoJ anymore because there are new people. I don't know them so it's scary." Wouldn't it be much better to embrace these new friends? I think so.

Yes, some very good thoughts. I agree with Sailor as well.
I have even been discouraged lately, no one greets much at all anymore, things are ignored. We could at least say hello, how are you today? I tend to just lurk anymore.
We also need to have some more meaningful conversations and show we care when others are feeling down, ill, etc.
That may be a lot to ask if everyone just comes there to chat and unwind and not have to deal with anything like that.
I dont know.

This one can admit to the succumbings of Ragnarok, Sacred, and the attempt of getting back into shape... ((has gotten lax on exercise, and now weighs 166lbs... gained 30lbs in a year and a half... I blaim growing... and chinese food....)) But in all seriousness... I started writing again.... I think this one might wind up becoming a small novel... if all goes well....it might even... get... published... crying
