Atleast today's sky was fairly clear, no signs of rain or clouds to block good flight. Seems like the perfect day to get kidnapped.

Most of the road is empty, consisting of highway that leads into a section of convenience stores and then onto a small town.

((When other events get finished I'll post an update as to what's changed, until then you and ligiea can find eachother(After he gets instructions from Alan) and just practice in general.))

from the air, there wasn't much activity on the back road towards D-corp, the most obvious thing was a car that came from D-corp to the first store. A few cars would leave here and there, including the minivan from the second conveniance store.

So far, the only suspicious thing was the car that came from D-corp, and nothing else was all too obvious.

The wind whipped past the pair as they wheeled around again the pale dragons wings beating to continue to keep them aloft. There hadn't been anything interesting or suspicious as of yet, and the girl was well hidden if she was down there. He'd been around the compound a few times already. The boy let out a slight sigh and closing his eyes a moment. It was at that moment Ymir decided to turn again and almost caused the leopard to fall off again. At least he was alert once more as he managed to keep his balance and they circled over the main compound once more.

That was when Keanu saw something that caught his attention. The car must have just started off for it was burning rubber out of the parking lot and down the highway. Now THAT was suspicious! "Ymir, do you see what I see!?" Came the excited response from the hero to-be, the response he got was another adjustment in direction and a dive to gain speed to keep up with the vehicle. Obviously the chase was on, and Keanu had found some prey to chase.

The car was obviously Talia's kidnappers running off before they were found. Too bad though, someone had seen them!

Ligeia had his eyes narrowed to squinting, seeing nothing as of yet that resembled the girl that they were looking for. They hadn't come across Keanu and Ymir either but after getting out here and up into the air it all seemed so big that it wasn't much of a surprise. He had to admit that his world seemed quite small when comparing it to the size of the real world. He rarely left his father's side unless he was sent along on a chore, a trip, or he ended up lost. Maybe he should see about changing that some? Explore a little? He gave a nod to himself then nudge Vorel.

"Can we get up higher and then over? I'm gonna see if that way we can spot things that are farther off." He told his dragon, holding on tight as he took the next current of warm air up higher into the sky and flapped his wings to keep them in place. Ligeia lifted his hand above his eyes to help block out the sun while starring out over the landscape taking in all that he could with his dark eyes, looking for any little detail that may lead him to what he was looking for. Be it the little girl or the other pair patrolling this place. Nothing as of yet though.

Being able to stand the cold was one thing for the pair but the opposite it seemed was starting to wear on them. It was hot, to hot in their opinion and their flying search was forced down to the ground to give Vorel a chance to rest, they found an outcropping of rocks that the dragon could curl himself under to enjoy the shade that helped somewhat while Ligeia took to the air himself, not to far above the ground but enough so that he could get a good view of what was around them, they would need to find somewhere to get drinks at. A stream would be convienient... maybe to much so? He didn't see one, to far back to D-corp to swing back that way for a drink and it would waste a lot of time. He'd not really thought to bring a canteen or anything with him either, half not thinking about it as his mind was on the missing girl and half him not expecting such heat. He was to used to being inside he supposed.

Ligeia chewed on his lip in a worried sort of way, he hated the idea of abandoning the search so he wouldn't do that. Instead they would have to find an alternate means of finding drinks. The owl boy dug into his pockets pulling out a crummpled up couple of dollars... well. He supposed they could see about circling back some to find the road and head to that store they'd flown over a while back. They could something to drink and maybe some ice for Vorel?

That plan in mind he fluttered down to land, moving over to Vorel, "Come on. We are gonna go find something to cool down with." He told him, patting the dragon's head. The frosty one gave a grummbling sound, eyes narrowing and he seemed to balk at the idea of leaving his shade, "Aww... come on Vorel. It won't take us that long if we hurry."

Another growly sound... then he crawled out of his hidey hold, fluttering his wings before crouching so that Ligeia could get back on.

(( Hope this is ok. Figured if I had them heading towards the road where I think Keanu was coming from they could cross paths. If they miss him he will continue on to get drinks. ^_^ ))

Ligeia have a screeing sound of delight upon seeing the building, they were coming up to it and it wouldn't be that long until they were inside, out of the sun, and able to get some good and cold drinks to cool them off! It would be the best! He patted Vorel's shoulder, "Alright... we are almost there Vorel. Just a bit more ok? You can make it." He said, assuring the dragon as he'd been since they started the flight, best way for him to keep the dragon going when he just wanted to find shade to hide in. Best to have a plan instead of finding somewhere random. He'd rather they not get lost or dehydrated/hurt when they were among those who were supposed to be saviors.

They landed in front of the doors to the store. Ligeia hopped off and fluttered over to the door to open it up for Ligeia who walked in... then blinked his blue, gem like eyes in surprise as he almost bumped into Ymir upon entering, "Mrawr?" He crooned at the other icy dragon.

Ligeia about asked who he was talking to until he slipped inside and saw instead, "AH! Wonderful." He said, smiling brightly. Who would have thought that they would be so lucky?

((Yes, yes, yes. I'm bad. >-> <-<;; *Just goes along with the assumptions while replying.* I'm just assuming they're going hunting together since they met up at the store. Yarr. Besides someone needs to have some sense right?))

Keanu had been rather surprised to have Ligeia walk into the same store he'd taken momentary refuge in. Certainly the shopkeeper must have been beside himelf freaking out behind the counter. Not that either child would notice probably. Two dragons wasn't something most people would be used to. Still it was a hppy enough meeting. Ymir remembered his fellow icey friend and perked up considerably from his rather grumpy mood with a pleasant characteristic chirp for the pale blue dragon before picking himself up a bit from the stores floor.

Keanu also welcomed the company with a grin. "Hey, I didn't expect to see you." Alan hadn't really said anything about the other children to him. Keanu had been the first one to arrive, and the first out the door. "Did Mr. Rikery send you out this way too?" He asked it quizically seeming to momentarily forget that he was in here hiding from the heat. Of course he'd be reminded as soon as the basic formalities went through and the pair had to be out again. Certainly neither of the two to-be heros liked the heat, but they wouldn't abandon their mission either. So shortly after the snowy duo was heading back out the door along with their new comrade in the mission. Which was still to find the missing girl.

Keanu was still convinced this was kidnapping by some malicious evil person. Which meant it was quite up his alley of good deeds to do.

It didn't take long for him to be back up in the skies once again wishing the day would cool off, but stubborn enough to stay up there. Even if Ymir was occaisionally giving a disgruntled grunt, he was behaving a bit better since he'd found an old friend again. Slighly better anyway, the fact was they is was still too warm, even if it was beginning to cool down.

It really was becoming a long day though, Keanu had been out since morning without really taking a long break to rest. Nor had he gone to eat lunch, or dinner at this point. It was mainly that image of how a hero should be that was keeping the boy out on his vigilant hunt, and finally it paid off. It was later now, the sun starting to set(which meant Raja was worried sick), and they where flying over a part of town when the boy spotted something that looked rather familiar. A certain girl who's picture was on a piece of paper from earlier that day.

That was definitely Talia, unless she had some twin sister. Though Keanu was quite sure Alan would have warned them if she did. He didn't recognize the other child, but he knew who the woman was. The kidnapper, which meant it was time to do something. "Ligeia! Look!" He pointed down toward the lot eagerly with that fearless vigor he usually had finally coming back. Certainly he was tired by now, but if nothing else seeing your target brought a needed adrenaline rush. Keanu wasn't thinking of finding Alan, no he had it in his head that he was supposed to rescue the girl himself. Perhaps Ligeia might have more sense than the leopard, but that was only if he could convince the stubborn boy. "We've got to go get her, who knows what that ladies going to do to those two!" He was assuming that the elephant was her second kidnapped charge. Of course assuming wasn't a good thing, but that wasn't on Keanu's mind right now either.

Thus instead of doing the logical thing and going off to get help from those who might handle the situation better the pair started to drop down a bit toward the house. Finally this was going to get interesting.
