I was playing counter strike with this guy i didnt know for quite some time. And recently he just found out that i was female and he was in complete shock. It pissed me off because he was like "girls shouldnt play video games."
So since this advent was takng place while we were both on the CT there was a team kill. Don't you just love it when it goes "headshot".

Man, I know I love the "HEADSHOT" voice in Unreal Tournament anyway. xd
Yeah, I get the same problems in Natural Selection on Steam. The moment I saw something on my mic, all the guys start talking about whether I'm an 8 y/o boy or an "actual girl." confused

AHAHAH. I know how that feels. I don't get why its such a shocker. I know so many girls who play videogames. But the thing I hate the most, is when a guy freaks out because a girl pwned his a**. They have no problem when they get beaten by another male. But the second a girl beats them, their world comes to an end.

Man! You know what's even more annoying? When guys blame you (the girl) for your team losing! I was playing the team version of Natural Selection where we have to build at sites around the map and all. I was on the marines team (the other team was aliens), and our commander was telling everyone to hurry to a spot to build a resource tower for buying bigger and badder weapons/armor. No one could reach it though, but he kept shouting at us to build it. I said "I'd build it but I'm a little busy dying right now", and then some a*****e guy said "well that's what happens when you send a woman to do a job like this." I was so pissed. evil

Yeah! I know exactly what you mean! I was playing CS and everyone in my team died except me and then i got shot in the head by someone who had hax, which was completely unfair. ANd then I was bitched at for dieing and they kept saying "Well any guy wouldnt have died like that." and i was just like "HELLO!!! all of you died before me!!!"

I hate when you get stuck with the dicks in online games. Usually I end up with fun groups of people and they're really funny, but there are still those assholes out there. confused

I agree with you guys. I used to play Counterstrike and was really good at it, but all the guys were like "WTF You're a girl?!", then when I died, they'd be all "Hahahhah! Girls can't play games!". GOD that pissed me off...And I love the headshot voice in Unreal Tournament as well, daft alchemist. The best one is the 'Monster Kill' voice mrgreen

I love to play video games. They are fun. Most guys don't see that I play untill I kill them. ninja When I play on the computer I don't say anything untill at the end and they say, "That was you?" And I luagh.

Everyone always jokes around and talks a lot in Natural Selection, and I'd love to join in, but I hate dealing with the whole "you're a girl?!" stuff, so I usually keep quiet. sweatdrop

I know how you all feel crying I am all for online games, and everyone is like "Wolfy, how old are you?" And when I tell them they're like "ARE YOU A GUY?" and when I say I am a girl all of them spazz out and start calling me a gay guy. Most of the boys have learned to not mess with me though, especially in school since I fixed a kids X-box when the school gamer nerd couldn't. Boys are just hating the fact that girls are beginning to take over what they thought was their world. I play a lot of UT04 ICTF, and me and a couple of other girls are in the process of making an all-girl clan to show them what's what!!!

You should joke back, even if you are a girl. They eventually get used to it and welcome you as one of their own :3 Remember, they're boys and probably all they do is game, the only peice of female they see is porn, or at least a lot of them. So they aren't used to the idea of having a girl even talking to them. Become "one of the guys" and joke just like they do. They'll bother you about it at first, but it's just like being a n00b. You'll be accepted eventually.

As far as links go, Natural Selection is a third-party mod for Half-Life. The only way to get it is through the Steam program. You download Steam, and then you have to buy Half-Life 1 through Steam, and then you can download the Natural Selection mod for free. I'm pretty sure you get Counterstrike from Steam as well.
