i have a desperate need for bugs now that both mine and cupcake's eyes have changed colour, i've spent 10.5k of my quest funds on ink in preparation for when the coloured contacts are released, as i'm sure that ink prices will absolutely sky rocket then, so it semed sensible to buy it now.
i so wish i'd kept the goldenlegs that Cupcake caught, that would have saved me a bundle! but you always know better in hindsight don't you?
so, any ink/bugs that you have ladies, keep hold of them until the lenses are released, as i'm sure you'll be able to make a killing 3nodding

I can't seem to get gold in the towns much anymore. Anyone else having this problem. I get one gold here and there but that's about it.

It almost never gives me gold from shaking bushes and stuff. Very occasionally I'll get 4g or at the most 6 or 7 from a shake, but usually nothing.

WickedLemon I can't seem to get gold in the towns much anymore. Anyone else having this problem. I get one gold here and there but that's about it. ok, something a little strange, i've been spending some time in towns lately, and i've been getting nothing what-so-ever from the trees etc... i swap to Peachy and i'm getting LOADS of gold, 6 or 7 pieces at a time. i'm not sure what to make of this, as i'm in a remote, under populated area, but these are where i go all the time as i don't want weird people trying to talk to me gonk maybe it's because i haven't been in towns with Peachy for a long time?

hmm, it's full daylight in towns now, and the insect colours aren't really the one's i need to much.
i need blue more than anything, but they're around more at night.
and i don't know about you, but i can't see a thing in towns at night now, it seems to be much darker than it used to be, so dark that, unless an insect flies across the wall of a house, i can't see it!
the gold has died down for me too, so i'm going to switch accounts again and see what effect that has xp

I seem to only be getting gold in the sides of the screen... the trees, rocks, and bushes in the main path all seem to be picked.
I've just started going back to towns to catch bugs again, but I've realized that I'm looking for cans more than anything..... lol, I want one of the tin hats 3nodding
