I find that when people stick Rent music to anime... it makes me sick. I don't know why, but I hate it. Maybe I'm bias, but I don't want to see some godaweful anime cheezy thing tarnishing the good name of 'I'll Cover You'. Or some stupid thing using the 'Tango: Maureen' for something stupid. stressed

H.a.k.u. I find that when people stick Rent music to anime... it makes me sick. I don't know why, but I hate it. Maybe I'm bias, but I don't want to see some godaweful anime cheezy thing tarnishing the good name of 'I'll Cover You'. Or some stupid thing using the 'Tango: Maureen' for something stupid. stressed I actually like the idea of it. Several animes share the basic concepts of RENT; Love, finding your place in the world, finding yourself, standing up for what you believe in. The wrapping is different, but the package inside is still the same. Only loathe it if n00bs overwhelm it with their stupidity and novice style, like.. picking the wrong anime for a song or something. I think you just don't like anime. confused

I usually only like it when it's La Vie Boheme, since that song is about pretty much everything, and it's always amusing
I like a few Out Tonight ones
But other than that, no!

Molly the Emo Kitty H.a.k.u. I find that when people stick Rent music to anime... it makes me sick. I don't know why, but I hate it. There are a few select animes that go with that song... but it does NOT go with the anime Chobits or the anime Azumanga Daioh... come on people! burning_eyes

I love that La Vie Anime video. It makes me laugh. I also have one that is Seasons of Loev and it almost made cry cause it was so sweet.

That was just a horrible example... but the concept is the same.
So I just think that anime isn't nearly as good as real kinds of people. Name one anime or manga character that has a deep personality that isn't surrounded by 'my mommy is dead and so is my daddy.. I am seeking revenge memhahahaha'. Actually, please don't look... Too much trouble.
All I am saying is they don't seem to mix well to me. Rent music was intended for rent. Not Inuyasha, Fullmetal Alchemist, or Ghost in the Shell etc. neutral

Eh, it depends really on how it's executed. Usually things that are carefully created with lipsync and crap appeal to me the most.

I love Rent & I love anime so the combination only works for me when it is done properly. And the song & whats happening in the sequences from the anime make sense. But I've seen alot of Rent/Anime Music videos on YouTube. And most of them actually work good together.

on youtube theres an avatar thingie to what you own, but its really good!!!! like it kinda looks like theyre saying it.... sorry i dont know how to do links, but you go on youtube and type avatar at the end of the millenium and the video is really cool!!!! 4laugh
