I'm trying to figure out which character (at their strongest) could come out on top.
"Pre-Mace" for the two of you that hasn't seen the Clone Wars, means before Mace crushed Grievous' chest, causing him to be the wheezing kitty cat that he was in Episode Three.

grivous never had the power of the force on his side as i remember, just by that darth should probobly win, even if he is only wielding one lightsaber.

Grievous is good - good enough to slaughter even Jedi Masters.
Vader is good - also good enough to slaughter Jedi Masters.
Grievous, however, does not have the force. Vader does. Since this is pre-Mace Grievous, Vader does the exact same chest crushing thing and whaddya know - it works just as well!

I understand where you're coming from when you mention Grievous' lack of force powers...
But he's taken on a number of Master Jedi at once and came out on top almost effortlessly.
He was trained by Duku to use fear and intimidation tactics to get the edge over a Jedi.
He also said that if he lost that edge, to retreat immediately. Grievous learned that the hard way against Mace.
So...
Could Grievous "get the drop" on Vader and shake him up enough to pull the win?

if we are using post mace grevious, which vader do you mean? do you mean post burning vader (aka anakin skywalker with 3 limbs) or big black (im the jugernaut biatch!) vader with zero limbs?

Couldn't Vader just do the same thing that Windu did, rendering the General as weak as he was in the movie? I mean he does like to use the force, even on his own subordinates. So I'm gonna have to say Vader wins do to his power over the force.

I'm thinking the general's armor has some anti-force spray coating on it or soemthing.

I think greavis wins.... I mean he took on...... 3 or 4 jedi at the same time!

"anti-force spray coating" I don't remember any comics or movies stating that Grievus had such a thing... So as far as I'm concerned, Vader wins with the force.

Grievous doesn't stand a chance against a Jedi/Sith when the element of surprise and intimidation are lost.

What? I think if Grievous got the drop on Vader then it would be over. Grievous doesn't stand a chance against a Jedi/Sith when the element of surprise and intimidation are lost. Though Grievous successfully got the drop on several jedi I doubt he could catch Vader off gaurd. Vader has a very good sense of awareness or danger... or whatever you want to call it. One example was when Anakin was talking to Obi 1, he sensed that Padme was in trouble from two large poisonous millipedes in Episode 2 (I think she was in the room below them). I'm still convinced that Vader easily wins with the force on his side.
