Well, what's so special about the DS Lite? Is it... Lighter or something? O_o I might buy it, and cash in my normal DS... So, what're your opinions on it? Is it any good? Does it come with any special features, different from the DS? Is it worth buying it?

i just got one on sunday and i absolutely love it. heart the ds lite is smaller and more compact compared to the regular one. it has 4 brightness settings, which is pretty convient. um, i'm not exactly sure what else is different since i never had a regular ds. ^^;
but since you already have a ds, i don't see the need to switch to the lite one... unless you can get a good deal when you sell your regular one then it might be worth it, but i don't think the features are that big of a difference. they're just more convient.

EEE! Pink DS! heart I love pink, but i have the regular silver DS. I don't think the regular DS is like incredibly difficult to carry around, I'd rather keep my DS than get the Lite. Just my opinion.

Honestly, the DS Lite is a sad excuse to steal your money.
I have the DS, and it's not hard to carry around nor does it have dim lighting.
Because the DS Lite is smaller and lighter, there's a better chance that if you accidently drop it it will get damaged, possibly even break.
The DS is easily carriable in your pocket and/ or purse, and I play it during the night when it's completely dark, and everything on the screen is very bright, vibrant, and clear.
My suggestion: don't buy a DS Lite, it's a waste of money.

I agree! 3nodding the ds lite is a waste of money if u already have a ds! and if u go to eb theyll only give ya $50 for a ds so its not worth it to trade it in.

I'm perfectly satisfied with my normal DS. I can lift it just fine, not too heavy for me!

It's just a marketing gimmick.
Like you know, Gameboy Advance --> SP.
The only thing is that the SP had some OBVIOUS advantages....like a backlight.

hmm... i'll just stick to my regular DS, I don't really see anything special in the DS lite. Nintendo just needs money...

I'm perfectly happy with my normal DS, I've heard the DS Lite is harder to flash apparently. Rule number one for Nintendo handhelds - always expect a smaller version. XD xD
