Super late, yes. But we're still in June. No smiting!
So, any of you guys have any special plans for the summer? Me? For the most part, I will sit at home like the loser I am and work on my summer assignments. It probaby won't be a bad summer. I do plan to go to a couple of places. My only grievance is that I have to complete my college essays before school starts.
Ho noez. @___@ College essays.
Okay. You may all smite me now.

xD Well, I did Drivers Ed, and the only thing planned for me, is the trip to Houston next week, and tennis practice on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Other than that, I'll be sitting at home working on fanfics, and waiting for the Naruto manga update each week. -o- *has no life*

Well I plan to read as many books as I can and practice some art techniques. And I'm going to California and Las Vegas this August.
And.. that's all. Of course, I'll be on the internet visiting Gaia, updating my livejournal, reading Naruto manga.. etc etc.
Sleeping all day is good too.

Meh. In my country, our summer starts late March and ends early June. So now we're in the... (counts fingers) fifth week of school. Another four weeks and it's the quarterly exams AND the big college entrance exam, called UPCAT in my country. Gah. you guys are lucky. Wish I could go back to the US and start my vacay all over again.

Summer's over, but ah... who cares?
Just before school started, I was dragged to Las Vegas to watch a popular gameshow from the Philippines called "Wowowee." (As much as like the show, I hate the name. Sounds like a dying dog. Dx )
But ahh. All of you had relaxing summers, it seems. I spent my summer at a community college to take Oceanography and Psychology. Ah whatever, I hardly went to Psych anyways.

I hate that show. Too much brainless flirty hos dancing. I don't watch the show that much. My tagalog skills are worse than my three-year spanish skills... [And trust me, my spanish skills are not exactly the best. (The most I can say is "Puedo ir al bano porfavor?" Sad really.] The music and the hoes' screams make me want to shoot myself. The only reason I like it is because it helps the poor. Aww. The brainless flirty hoes are funny, though. When we were at Las Vegas, I couldn't stop laughing when I saw one of them do the worm. My aunt calls them "go-go dancers" since they can't seem to do anything else other than shaking their butts.
When I was there, I couldn't help but think that Wowowee was some sort of wierd cult... And yes, I'm filipino.

[goes off-topic] @_@ Wowowee? I've watched that on tv a couple times and to be honest, it is the oddest (and longest) gameshow I have ever seen. @_@ It's not that bad. I agree with C r a y o l a, it helps the poor and that makes me happy. But the dancing girls.. they scare me.
(It kinda makes me upset that when the person pulls the last switch to reveal the number, it turns out to be a zero when it looked liked a one.. and the contestant doesn't win a lot... and that.. just.. stinks.)

OMGoat, is it ever long. When we arrived at the stadium to watch it, it was around 3:30. It was 11:30 when we finally left. I was dead after the first two hours.. gonk

We-ell, I'm a full fledged Pinoi and I live in the country, so I have firsthand experience with these gameshows.
Y'see, these TV producers decided that a lot of people might want to watch live entertainment as they eat their lunch. Thus, "lunchtime entertainment" was born. There's a lot of singing, dancing, and games that encourage studio audience to join, and who knows, they might win big bucks. And you know how lunchtime is (or not). It lasts from 11 am to 1 pm for us here, though people at work or school have it cut down to just one hour.
Well, Wowowee evolved from that. They decided to do away with the amateur celebrity singers and the actors and actresses who pretend to know how to dance and made it a gameshow-oriented thing instead. So they have a LOT of games, with a LOT of commercials (they need someone to sponsor the mondo-huge prizes, right?), which makes it THAT long.
Yeah, they help the poor, but have you heard about the Ultra stampeded?
