What is supernature? What is the invisible line that defines something as being something one step beyond nature? Bring your theories to light.

LilaMalvae What is supernature? What is the invisible line that defines something as being something one step beyond nature? Bring your theories to light. it all depends on each persons views, there is not one definite line that can be drawn.

Supernatural describes something that operates outside one or a number of natural laws. To that end, there is no such thing as supernatural, because if it exists, it exists in nature. Paranormal is a better term, in my opinion.

While they are natural laws, the laws that govern supernatural (or paranormal) entities often do not apply to us. If you brandished a hunk of cold iron against my skin, I doubt I would be undone. If you stabbed me with silver, the metal will only pierce my skin, it would not burn me. If I happened to step out into the sun once in a great while, I would catch fire only because my skin is the same pasty whiteness that Gaia insists on using for their forum backdrop. mrgreen

Anything that science can't explain. There are obviously things that exist that you can't particularly prove. If you can't back it up with hard evidence that is proven to be accurate, it really can't be proven that it exists.
