Is anyone in here planning to be a professional dancer? I'm not. I mean, I probably could if I wanted to, but I don't want a job where I'm constanly hurting my body with eating disorders and pointe shoes.

No, even if I did want to, I'm far too old to be a professional ballet dancer. Pros start dancing when they're five, and move on to pointe when they're 12 or so. This is only my third season of ballet, and I hope to start pointe work next year. I'm 21 already. ^^; So I don't think it's in my cards.

If you really want to be a dancer, go for it! Yeah I'm tryin' to go for it smile I'm just kinda unsure... Like, I want to take more lessons, but it's expensive and I hardly have time sad but I really wanna get better at dancing!

i am gonna be a pro, i've already danced on national television here in ireland also been in many shows on the largest stage in ireland. i plan on going to college in 2 years when i finish skool!

No i dont plan to be it would take much too muchy work and your carreer would be over by the time you hit 30 ^ can i add u you sound so cool

I most definatly (what, is that like my fav. word?) want to be a pro. Dancing all day would seem like heaven to me. (I just wish I was getting some better teachers, though stressed ) If I don't make it as a pro, then I'm going into mathmatics or animals. But I will make it as a pro, I'm sure (even if I have to start my own company)

I'm 21 already. ^^; So I don't think it's in my cards. i know... me too. but i'm 16, started again this year at 15, but i quitted at 10 so this is a comeback for me. i know a 10 year old who is almost at professional level. my teachers are russian and started out with her really early so...

I try and get on a dance academy next year (finish school first)...

I'm 21 already. ^^; So I don't think it's in my cards. one of the best started when she was 19. so there is still a chance i get. i could go pro if i keep up with ballet, but i have so many things different things going on right now that i can't commite a few hours every night. sad

I wan't to my teacher says I am on my way and she said she thinks I have the potential to ^^ and I did start dancing at 5 lol
