I was watching the videos and noticed something. Noodle's eyes keep changing.. O__O.. Starting from the 19/2000 video:  When she first sings, her eyes are hollow like 2-D's...  Then her eyes close and stay closed, like her regular self.  The she suddenly has a actual eye with a pupil when a little while ago she had hollow ones.  And last but not least, the El Manana video. Now she has these green(but beautiful) green eyes. ninja Do you think that Jamie(or whoever drew them) was aware of this? Sorry, i was like extremely bored and my cousin pointed this out to me the other day.

I've noticed it too.
Erm. I don't think it's on purpose.
With the El Manana video,
I think it packed more of
a punch if you saw the color
of Noodle's pupil.
I guess it was more meaningful.
And that video was meaningful.
I still cry when I watch it.
And my mom almost did too.

The verdict doesn't love our soul ~
In the side view, I think he devides the eye into an iris and...white area (what's it called?) to specify where she's looking, like what he does with 2D on the Demon Days album cover. It's hard to tell the direction the eye is facing when there is no feature within the eye to differentiate.
El Manana, though...not sure. I think he just did that to give the opening some punch.

I've noticed that!
Personally, I think it has to do with her character evolution: in the beginning the Gorillaz were much more cartoony. Noodle was simply the guitar prodigy who had arrived from Japan in a box. Therefore, to emphasize her Asian-ness, she had stereotypical slanted eyes. When her eyes were open, they look blank, like 2D's. This might be because the two have a brother-sister bond.
Now, Noodle's gotten older, and she's become her own person. Her green eyes show that she's evolved into reality, away from her cartooniness.
Wow, I totally over-analyzed that.

xd Stoned. Nah, I think she's just gotten older and instead of lifting the chest, they lifted the eye color. xd

It's probably because of more of Murdoc's reckless surgery and Russel's Animal Quackers army. Now she has new eyes!

most-likely she talked to her eye docter and wanted new contect lenses, soshe got them and fused to her ireses xd

her eyes aren't open like the beginning of El Manana all the time though. they're mostly closed slits. makes me think of kitsunes really.
