There is life after death. It�s just not what you think. All your loved ones, their loved ones, your friends, your enemies�we all end up in one place. The Shadow. There�s other names for it, the veil that separates life from death.

We know them. We know many things.

Who are we? We�re the Orpheus Group. We part the veil, open the curtains, and look behind it. We know what comes next. And we�re willing to let you in on it. It�s not a trick. It�s not magic, although it looks like it and might be the next closest thing. We take you behind, show you the door.

But you have to open it.

((Welcome to Orpheus, a new RP I�m running based off of White Wolf�s WoD game of the same name. It�s hard not to reveal too much of the plot while still revealing enough to get started on. Orpheus was a different kind of RPG�it was more of a detective story than anything. It just happened to involve the spirits of the dead.

What the Orpheus Group is capable of doing is rending the veil that separates Life from Death and letting normal mortals become �ghosts� for a while. However, it is not as simple as all that. What impact would such an event have on the spiritual and physical worlds? Would anyone believe what they say? And, more importantly, could anyone remain sane after seeing that.

The answer, dear player, is up to you.

The RP is set in modern day Seattle. You can be anyone you want, any regular person. You don�t have special powers of any kind. You�re not a superhero. Consider yourself a Astral Tourist. What happens after you flatline and go over to the otherside? Well, that�s a secret that only the Orpheus Group knows for sure.

Appearence: Female? Long red hair, with cream colored skin, 5'6"
Profession: Female Kick Boxer, can teach as well, but would perfer not to, because she has little patience for teaching.
Attitude: A real b***h, or something close to one.
Skepticisms, if any: She is somewhat of a negative person, and doubts ppl and circumstances
Reasons for going to Orpheus: To know what it feels like to die, and come back again. Then I will have no fear and I will become a true womens kick boxing champion.

Name: Penny Watemen ((Penny said I could, so yay!))
Age: 17
Appearance: Brown hair worn in a short ponytail, blue eyes. Wears glasses.
Profession: Student in High School
Attitude: Very friendly and kind. A movie enthusiast. You name it, she's seen it. She sometimes tends to confuse reality and fantasy and wish that the movies were real. Kind of on the talkative side.
Skepticism: None. The fact that she watches so many movies has destroyed any that could have been.
Reasons: Because, in this one movie (insert movie title here) the main characters did it and they met their (insert relatives/loved ones/heroic person here) and they were really (insert random emotion here) and it looked like so much fun and it would be a really good learning experience and...

Midori glanced around nervously as the doctors strapped her into the cot. This was going to be an exciting adventure, she knew, but she couldn't help put feel a slight twinge of panic. It was not everyday she physically died.

((You dirty Matt you, I was hoping that letting you use my name, wouldn't expose me to your perversions, but who cares lol!))

*Genie waited calmly, while they strapped her donw and hooked her up to all sorts of weird things and machines. She wasn't all together concerned, but the little voice in the back of her head seemed to be trying to break through her thick skull and tell her that this was scary, but it wasn't able to.*

"Can we hurry this up, I have a schedule I have to keep. I'm a boxer you know."

Before Midori had the chance to reply, all three of them felt their hearts seize up, as if they were having a heart attack. The monitors connected to them started to beep as the heart scans started to flatline. Their vision began to grow dark. It was sort of peaceful, almost like going to sleep...

It felt like only a second between falling asleep and waking. They were standing in the Orpheus centre, but it looked even more run down than it was previously. It was totally abandoned and seemed dark, as if the lights had burnt out.

Their forms flickered, like a dying bulb, as if it was taking a conscious effort to keep their forms together.

Midori looked around in wonder. "It...doesn't really look that different, does it? Kind of like a dark reflection of where we where..." He eyes shined brightly in the gloom. "I wonder if we'll meet a ghost!"

*Genie was disapointed, she had expected things to be a little more eventful, and the frown on her face showed her lack of enthusiasm. She crossed her arms and turned away from the two, looking around at some possible means of using her fists against an enemy.*

"If you call this exciting, then no. I find this rather dull and a waist of time, I'd prefer playing chess with a monkey than be here." She sighed and continued looking for something to batter with her fists.

((Do what you will Matt, I can always kill you later, but then I would miss having you around lol! I love this char, she so going to turn out like a Vageta, and piss everybody off, except those who are like a Goku.))
