So, I have a question for my guild members. Has anyone in Queen inspired you in some way?

I've been inspired by the whole band in my approach to movies. I'm an amatuer director and am very experimental with what I write and direct. The bands music philosphy, the whole being experimental thing, has inspired me to not limit the types of filsm I make to one genre.

John Deacon has inspired me to play the electric bass. Bass players are really over looked. They are very talented and without bass, music wouldn't sound as good, songs need that background bass line that adds to the rythm.

And yes I'm aware that Driven by you is a Brain May song, I just thought it'd fit the topic.

I'm in general, inspired by Roger Taylor.

For instance, lemme talk about something unpleasant that happened today. I found out that the boy I've had a crush on for two years (who didn't know) is going out with my friend, a friend who I trusted, who promised me that she wouldn't go out with him. Most girls would cry. They would leave mean Myspace messages, gossip and get their friends to gang up on said girl. But for some reason, my mind keeps going back to Roger and saying, "Hey... That's not cool. He wouldn't want you to be petty and do stuff like that. He would want you to be a fighter and move on, just like him. Tell that kid to shove it, and move on..."

He's also taught me to stand up for myself and be a better person. To be proud of what I believe in and not back down. 3nodding

Mmm, for me, I think Freddie has inspired me in many ways; he's taught me to be more myself and not care what anyone else thinks, because in the end, if you can't be yourself then who the Hell are you going to be? He's sort of made me appreciate the advice of 'Be yourself', which many people often overlook 3nodding

He's also one of the driving force in my creativity, he was very determined to achieve his dreams, and that itself inspires me, because if Freddie could live out his ambitions, then why can't I? I just need to apply myself and make the right moves like how he did whee

Plus, we both hate our schools so... mrgreen

Brian May inspired me to follow my dreams, no matter how... eh, flimsy they may be. I mean, he gave up physics/astronomy/sciencey stuff to be in a band! xD

Freddie taught me as long as your enjoying what you do, life is good!

And Popo, I would've kicked that girl's a** for betraying you like that.

Okay. I'm really sorry that happened to you, Popo. I was hurt in the same way when I was in high school.

Freddie Has Inspired Me In So Many Ways.
Mainly That, I Am My Own Person.
That I Can Sing In The Shower, No Matter How Gruesome My Voice Is. That I Can Wear Bold Colors, Hang Sharpie Minis From My Neck, Use My Arms As A NotePad, Dance in Public No Matter How Many Strange Looks I Get While Blaring My Music Out Of My MP3 Player. Run Out On A Whim, Splashing And Kicking In The Rain, Soak My Clothing So That It Clings To Me And Trails Water All Over the Place, And Not Give A Damn About What The Hell People Think Of Me.
Freddie Taught Me To Live My Life To The Fullest.
And I Plan To Do Just That.

This is going to be a surprise... but John has actually inspired me the most. ninja

I first picked up an acoustic guitar because of him... and played the bottom four strings like a bass (out of tune, no less). I didn't know any lines at that point, and then I started turning up the bass on my stereo... learning the lines in my head and finding the notes on the frets. Playing someone's notes is... something unexplainable for me. I felt personally spoken to by John, in a nut shell. And from then on, I learned bass line after bass line after bass line... no, seriously. xd

He inspired me to be better... personality wise and musically wise. I can't get really further than that. Sorry... stressed whee

Brian May has always driven me to do the best I can at guitar, and Freddie taught me that the show must go on, no matter what!

Queen on the whole inspires me, growing up i had it a little hard. and i remmber i was at one of my lowwest i must of put 'the miricle' album on, and i heard 'was it all worth it?' and i felt so low and ready to give up, then 'hangon in there' bleared out of my stero, and i smiled and i've hung on since singing the lyric's to 'i want it all'

what can i say theyu give me strength!

and meeting roger, has made relise that they care deeply about their fans, which gives me hope ^_^!

I guess I cant exactly say how they've inspired me but I know they have. I can say that I am inspired by Mary Austin. My dad is very sick like Freddie was, but its not aids. The way she delt with it is inspiring me to deal with my father's illness a little better. I do notice that when ever something good happens to me there happens to be a Queen song playing.
