well, the past year, I've had terrible migrains, and all three doctors have said the same thing. I need to loose weight, and excercise more, and that being over weight might be my problem. But, If that would be the case, I've been chubby all my life, why would things just change now? But, I have also heard, that women with lower seratonin levels are proned more to migrains around my age, then women with regular seratonin levels. so, Discuss, Do you think that weight has much to do with health problems? Or do you think that I should get some more opinions? And has anyone heard about any kind of seratonin pills I could take that might fix this?

...So did you have the doctors check your seratonin levels? If you suspect that might be it, you should have that looked into.
I find it confusing that it seems you find it hard to believe that after years your extra weight may catch up with you and give you health problems, but that suddenly not having enough seratonin (which I would assume was that way all your life) suddenly might affect you due to your age? It seems like it would be the same thing to me. Honestly, it seems like you just don't like the response you got.
Things build up over time, including problems with weight. Arteries don't just clog at once, they take years and years to build up, and then one day out of the blue the unlucky victem can have a heart attack. Some people are very weak as children, but with regular excersize and a proper diet they become normal, healthy adults. Some people are active and suddenly they're unhealthy, possibly even dying.
All that to say, yes, I believe that weight does have much to do with health problems. Not for everyone. I'm a great example of how somebody can be overweight but healthy. My skinniest friends are atheletes, but they're so active that causes problems as well--but somewhere right in the middle I do believe is best. I've had multiple friends who were overweight and unhealthy, one has lost weight and is now so much healthier and happier because of it. The other used to weigh a lot, she got gastric bypass and has lost weight--but I nearly didn't get to turn in an assignment due to her asking me to take her to the emergency clinic (I had to regularly, usually once or twice a week) due to another migrane. I'm sure she's a special case, but I do think her weight and her diet and lack of excersize gave her most of these problems.
Even if you don't want to lose weight, I believe the doctors had it right when they told you to excersize. I used to excersize, and while I lost a bit of weight, I was still pretty big. I was so much healthier and got sick less at that time than I do now. I know when I excersize and have a good diet (or even just having a healthier diet by itself) I feel better and get sick less.
But if you feel you should seek even more opinions (I've only been to one doctor in my life ever, so for me three agreeing would be more than enough to convince me) then maybe you should. I don't dismiss that generally a person knows what's best for them, and their body--but I don't dismiss the fact that doctors are trained professionals, and they're not going to flat out lie to you just to make the world a skinnier place.

Wiehgt sometimes doesn't have an immediate effect on your health, sometimes it takes time, to find out wether or not you're really healthy?

I think your doctors are half right.
Eat Healthier, exercise more.
Whether you lose wieght or not, that'll help.

well the whole thing is, I eat pretty healthy. I always have, and I get excersize most of the time. the only other conclusion, as odd as it may seem, is that my doc at the moment prescribed that I be on a no preservatives diet, and that I might be allergic to the preservatives they put in foods, and that over time I grew allergic to them..oddly enough, it's been five days on this (Nothing in a can, bag, or box) diet, and I haven't had one attack. pretty much, I just have to eat fresh foods, or cook mealsthings from scratch. I just find it a bit odd that it has to be preservates that give me migrains. surprised

And also, thank you for replying to my message. the next time I have to go see the doc, which is pretty soon, I'll have to ask her about the whole seratonin thing. ^^
