I made this because I want people to brag about their most powerful materia combinations in FFVII.
Also, you could give some helpful advice to those who just can't seem to beat those nasty weapons...such as yours truly.

My most horrible combo is this one (my brother and I figured it out together)
You combine Counter (blue) with mime (yellow)
Then you use any limit command and just keep mimicking.
You'll keep using limit, PLUS you'll counter with it everytime you're hit.
Perfect for Gold Saucer's Battle Square (Cloud)
I recomend avoiding frog form by all means possible

i got three for u
1 requies 1 person with knigths of the round table and the rest with mime
2the poision:put poison metera in with ur wepon and add stel and counter thats truly deadly*recomed for hard hitters
3!!!!!the best one:big boom:3 ppl with mime 1 person with mega mp and many summons and this also works with attacks but not recomended i got better ones but i dont think u need to know them

ok.
heres one of the best.
have all three people with mime(that means level up)
have one character with knight of the round and w-sommon.
put final attack(i dont remember if thats the name or not! but its like that)
and phenix together or life will work too.
then put the underwater materia on one of the other characters.oh and try to put counter on all of them. i had all the materia leveled up to 5.
that will take care of emerald wepon.
for ruby take off the underwater. and phenix an put life

The most evil one i saw was have a full limt break bar have 8 counters and 8 mimes link them up like counter - mime use omnislash on hard tough boss and let him attack you you will get 8 omnislashs for each one move he gets plus one if you use mime at your turn

This is good for folks who don't have mime, and for those who want to get the new limit breaks for the characters. Cover & counter. The character with this combo takes the hit for another & counters. It really helped me get Vincent's new limit breaks quick 3nodding

I've always liked the... uh, materia that casts the joined materia when you die, attached to the Pheonix summon materia. Pretty simple, yes. Pretty effective, yes.

master summon with mp absorb works well as you take mp when you summon any thing (comes in very handy during the weapon fights) also destruct and added affect on your armour to stop instant death attacks.
then the one nearly everyone has said final attack + phoenix
oh and magic counter + ultama is fun (KOTR is too costly and long)
or i cant remeber the materia name but it casts pared materia as soon as the battle begins, but that with ultama or one of the high end summons is fun.
there are more but im too lazy to list them......

any materia x8 in linked slots with any supports. IE:
Ultima-HP Steal, Ultima-MP Steal, Ultima-Added Cut, Ultima-Steal as Well, Magic Counter-Ultima, Ultima-Quad Magic, Ultima-Sneak Attack, ETC. 4 Ultimas on all foes, Steal HP, MP, and Item 4 times, attack 4 times, and do the same each time you're hit and when the fight starts. You can also replace Magic Counter-Ultima with Command Counter-Mime. Major fun.
