History: Fua Li was born in Urumqi, China in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region. Fua Li's elder brother had since secceded from the family and moved to Taipei, Taiwan. The Long family still needed a boy to cary the family name. Since their child was a girl and could not become a rightful hair to carry on the Long family name, she was put up for adoption in America. Fua Li was adopted by a Japanese-American family and has since had a fairly normal life. It was discovered that Fua Li had a minor case of social anxiety at age 14, and has been on medical treatment since. Recently, Fua Li's parents have had another child: a boy. Fua Li has also came in contact with her older brother Chi Ye, who is still in Taiwan and is engaged to a Taiwanese girl name Suchin Son.
Personality: Friendly and slightly shy, Fua Li usually likes to stay in the back of the crowd. Recovering from social anxiety, Fua Li is still not used to large crowds of people, and feels more comfortable in smaller settings. She loves drawing and working on HTML and CSS, and is interesting in mythology and religions.

History: Julia was born in a Chicago hospital where her birthmother had come to be closer to her adoptive parents. Raised by her new mother and father, she was taught to always be kind, gentle, caring. When she was eight she nearly drowned in a paddleboat accident. From then on, she refused to get in a paddleboat. At age thirteen, she was nearly killed in a car accident, leaving her fearing cars.
Personality: Julia is extremely shy, even around people she knows. Only on the internet, where no one can truly know her, does she open up. Ever since she was put on some mood stabilizer, she has had severe anxieties, be they about death, social situations, or other random subjects, along with a case of OCD. Once she has made a friend, she will be totally loyal and devoted.

A furin, a Japanese windchime, Fua Li gave to Serenity when the two first met.

  The koi pond in Fua Li and Julia's backyard is home to about 20 fish - and now one mermaid as well. ^_^a
Julia installed a thermometer to regulate the tempurature to the make the fishies comfortable in the weather. It is conected to the patio and is one a couple steps out into the yard. When the home was being re-decorated, Fua Li insisted that the hosue have some Japanese elements from growing up in a Japanese-American home. Mats and thin rice-paper screen are in the living room, including some Japanese art peices from the Heian period.
