Two words: SPEED MODS Too many people have been complainin' about slow songs being annoying and hard and everything, and I figured this might decrease the redundance. If this thread is a repeat, by all means feel free to delete it, but at least dig up the old one or something, because after the 20th person saying, "OMG BAG IS SOOOO HARD BECAUSE ITS 65 BPM!!!!" it starts to get annoying. How to use speed mods (for the newbies): When starting the song, you know how you press the confirm button (X)? Hold it down. When a really weird screen comes up with all this crazy s**t on it, there will be "x1, x1.5, x2, x3, x5, x8" at the top. Most people read best between 200 and 350 scroll. Can you do simple multiplication? If not, what the hell are you doin' playing DDR? If so, it should be a problem figuring out that Bag is best if played on x3 (195 scroll) or x5 (325 scroll). And you can multiply likewise with other songs. Note: AS STATED IN THE GAME MANUAL, THESE MODIFIERS DON'T CHANGE THE SONG'S ACTUAL SPEED, JUST THE SCROLL SPEED. stare 1un4r edit Discuss: Do you use speed mods? What's your average reading speed? Kind of a big "No s**t", but it is irritating.
It's fun seeing people try to sound skilled like "omg i h8 those slow songs theyr 2 easy ONLY FAST SONGZ R HARDLOL".
My average reading speed is around 600 BPM. 5x on anything under 140, 3x on anything up to 200 BPM, 2x on everything up to 300 BPM (except Max 300, not comfortable with it on 2x just yet.), 1.5x on MaxX Unlimited and Legend of Max. Max. (period) is the only song I play without speed mods.
Discussion tacked onto the first post to make it a little more legit

I guess I'm the only person who has been working on lowering their reading speed lol. I've gotten myself down from the comforts of 350 to around 200-250 over the past couple of months. Not that I'm looking to play without speed mods but I've been practicing without double tapping and reading at slower speeds make it easier.

It took me about... 2-3 min to load? If I wasn't so lazy I'd stick a preloader on there or something. XD

I <3 speed mods, solo, and the bar more than anything else in this world. And then i <3 1x vivid no bar. I especially enjoy playing ITG 1x no bar because i have never seen anyone play ITG like that. D-Code Expert is really fun 1x. And all of those other 10 footers that are like 130bpm with "lol 16th notes" are fun 1x no bar.
